Goblin
Well, I can't move differently with Rumple during the readied action, as I specified E09. The rulesy bits say "If the triggered action is part of another character's activities, you interrupt the other character. Assuming he is still capable of doing so, he continues his actions once you complete your readied action." This isn't super clear about how much/many of your actions get lost or don't, but since the acrobatics and attack were different actions you're probably right.
Goblin
As Gnasher comes into range, Rumple abruptly turns face and rides the other direction. Prepared action to move to E09. Round 5 Once Rumple is out of reach of Gnasher's claws he turns back around with an evil grin. I CAN SEE YOUUUUUUU! He shrieks at his foe, and as he does so his eyes narrow and his movements become more controlled. Immediately afterwards his muscles bulge, filling out the empty space in his armor as he lets loose another bloodcurdling cry. He uses his knees to spur Pyhrra forward, charging his opponent at an improbable speed and continuing directly past him after a vicious stab with the lance. Charge to E19, not provoking for movement. Arbiter Only:
non action: guide mount with knees, free action: rage, swift action: activate ranger's focus, full-round action: ride-by charge to E19. Guide with Knees: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24 Charge Attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33 Damage: 3d6 + 30 ⇒ (6, 2, 6) + 30 = 44 Charge Attack - 33
Goblin
Rumple had a prepared option to move in closer if you moved (instead of 5-foot stepping), so he was already in square E10 when you moved. I guess that puts you in either D10 or D11. The other goblin dances easily past the tip of Rumple's lance, but his bite is harmlessly shoved to the side by a strange force. Rumple instantly flees the other direction. TEETH ARE CHEATING TOO STOP USING TEETH. Withdrawing to H20.
Goblin
I haven't looked in spoilers, but since you're moving around a corner I assume you are actually using a move action, thus provoking an AoO. If you meant to take a 5 ft. step: "You can't move diagonally past a corner (even by taking a 5-foot step). You can move diagonally past a creature, even an opponent." If you were 5-ft. stepping and didn't know you couldn't, feel free to change your actions. I'll wait before posting mine.
Goblin
Round 1 Rumple swigs the potion in his hand and drops the empty vial to the sand. He then draws the lance from his back as Pyhrra runs around the pillars to the east. I THOUGHT THIS WAS A FIGHT NOT A DRINKING CONTEST YOU COW HERD! Moves from F11 to D13, then from D13 to B13. Arbiter Only: Potion of Shield of Faith.
Goblin
Rumple is visibly enraged by his opponent's actions, and shrieks across the empty sand. YOU SEE-THROUGH LOSER! WHERE IS YOUR PRIDE! Rumple leaps onto Pyhrra's back effortlessly, and the wolf saunters forward into the middle of the arena. Rumple rummages through his pockets and grabs a vial while the wolf carries him forward. Dice:
Ride to Fast Mount: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25 End movement in F11, vial drawn. A description thing I forgot to mention: The parade armor has crude spikes sashed all over it.
Goblin
Rumple strides out into the arena with his chest puffed out and his hands empty. He stands as tall as he can and stares across the sand with his chin held high. Beside him, his wolf bares her teeth at their foe. Description:
Rumple is about as short and thin as goblins get. His wiry (yet surprisingly well muscled) frame barely fills an overly colorful and quite ridiculous set of Gnomish parade armor. An equally garish armored kilt is strapped on top of this, and from it are hung over a dozen sharp metal rings. Around the plumed helmet circles a single ioun stone, which appears to have been dipped in ink or blood. It circles around Rumple's head like a fly, and is accompanied by a number of real flies attracted by Rumple's aroma. A threadbare cloak, (which matches neither the armor nor the kilt), is wrapped around the tiny knight's shoulders and drags on the ground when he isn't mounted. Strapped to his back are a miniature greatsword and lance. A pair of exceptionally focused orange eyes peer out of from under the helmet's shade. Visible items: Parade Armor, Armored Kilt, Greatsword, Lance, some magical cloak, some ioun stone, over a dozen chakram. Arbiter Only:
Initative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 Initiative 14.
Dogdog is disgrace to goblin honor! Dog is enemy of goblins, so Dogdog is double enemy (and he has got a dog and that is as many as three dogs and thats terrible). All goblin know that dog is far not good as wolf. Rumple has mighty wolf, and sticker, and deathrings, and im-peckable moral code. Him bring high honor to all goblin.
Rumple Stickskin of the Order of the Sticker, reporting for duty! The WBG campaign he was in just shut down. Let me know if you need anything else from him- there's not much backstory with the assumption he has been living a relatively normal life, although chock-full-o'-honor, in the village. His personality would dictate his past actions.
Goblin
Rumple seems more interested in the clubbing aspect of the game than the hiding one. He leaps onto Pyhrra and rides around searching for hidden goblins. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 Rumple sees Fingernipper 'hiding' by the fire, and rides over to clonk him on the head. He gives a shriek of delight at his finding skills.
Goblin
Rumple, who is 1 for 1 in the winning games department, feels he should quit while he is ahead, especially after Fingernipper's dazzling display of stomach. He rests on his Squely-Nord-riding-laurels, and drinks more booze and another apple. Fortitude: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 He's drunk but not puking.
Goblin
As Rumple sees Cara knocked to the ground as well, his pride on his riding skills overpowers his reluctance to give in to the other goblins' demands. "Out of my WAY!" he cries, and rushes forward to show the clumsy goblins how riding Squely Nord is done. Fast Mount Onto Squely Nord: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26 Round 1: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26 Round 2: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21 Round 3: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26 Reflex if necessary: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 Three 15s and two 10s, that's improbable. Are we sure this roller is always random?
Goblin
Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15 Rumple isn't sickened, although he has drunk a rather silly amount of alcohol, and is quite sloshed. At the demand for dancing with Squely Nord, Rumple becomes rather furious. He rides tipsily over to the goblin who spoke and looks down off of an equally tipsy Pyhrra with disdain, next to Gutspiller. "The great don' need dansh with SHQUELY!" He shrieks. "We otts to throw you to Squeleh Nurd OURSHELVESH for sush dishonor!" He points his sticker at the offending goblin and waves it drunkenly from side to side, eyes bulging with fury.
Goblin
Rumple, as disapproving as he is of Gutspillers lack of regard for honor, still is impressed with the goblin song... He nevertheless tries to be haughty and ignore her. Riding over to the largest barrel of booze, he and Pyhrra attempt to drain the entirety of it together. If Rumple is unable to finish it, he will grow angry at the offense to his personal strength of character, and will attempt to use his Challenge ability on the drink, and then will stab at the barrel until it breaks. Rumple plans to be a guest of Honor, and he feels very strongly about Honor, and he knows he needs to get his drink on to be a proper guest.
Goblin
Rumple ignores any of the conversation concerning the map. He looks at Guts sharply as she speaks disparagingly of his all-important honor. "Mish Gutspiller!" he says in a tone of haughty indignation "If you speak sick of mine honor in a second time the consekoo-, the counswak- the results will never be the same again ever." He stops talking as he isn't sure of what he's actually saying, but feels that he put up a pretty convincing argument as to why one shouldn't question his honor. "And, Guts, my words always mean eggs sackedly what I want them." With these words he rides off, nose in the air.
Goblin
Rumple begins to speak to Morat before they are summoned into the throne room. "We be here for the greatest honor and the highly- INWARD!"
He rushes into the room, first again, and slides off of Pyhrra into the dirt, bowing deeply before Gutwad before sitting down. After the announcement of their mission, Rumple stands and bows deeply again. "By my honor, a very honorable honor indeed, we honorably will bring the most honorable fireworks here for you honor! HONORWARD!" He rushes back out of the hut, leaping onto Pyhrra... Ride check for fast mount: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 quite gracefully!
Goblin
Rumple, being very excited, and also very fast since he is riding on a wolf, rushes to to the moot house first. There he stands with his nose nearly touching the door. "I the skinsticker be here to honorably stick the skin which should be stuck, with my sticker in hand. I shall be the haste of the wind into the... place, to do the things!" Impressed with his own high-brow and eloquent speaking, Rumple waits for the chief to be duly impressed and to send him on his no-doubt honorable mission.
It doth say this at the top of the online campaigns messageboard: "Did you inherit a play-by-post? If you are the GM for a play-by-post campaign but didn't start the thread, please email webmaster@paizo.com. We need: • A link to your profile page (click on your name at the top where it says "Welcome, your name!"
Just copy and paste these links from the address bar in your browser, please."
Also, right here on the SRD: Organization gang (4–9), warband (10–16 with goblin dog mounts), or tribe (17+ plus 100% noncombatants; 1 sergeant of 3rd level per 20 adults; 1 or 2 lieutenants of 4th or 5th level; 1 leader of 6th–8th level; and 10–40 goblin dogs, wolves, or worgs) I'd say there's good evidence that goblins get along fine with wolves.
Well, goblins clearly like being cavaliers (they have a written in favored class bonus), and the only options for a small cavalier barring DM fiat are pony and wolf until level 4. I figured that a wolf is better than a pony :P I always took the goblins' hatred of dogs to be more specific to domesticated ones. They still have goblin dogs and stuff. Anyhow, Rumple will only be using the wolf until level 4 when he can have a tyrannosaurus.
In the interest of clarity: Sticker means Lance
I've written Rumple up as a "Rider", which is just my way of saying Gendarme (Cavalier archetype focused on mounted combat) without sounding pretentious and non-gobliny. There will likely be other, goblinesque names for various abilities such as Challenge, or order powers. I just wanted to make sure there was no confusion regarding what stuff means.
So he's no longer ranged, he's a goblin cavalier of the sword, or in this case of the 'sticker' (lance). Still fleshing out this alias, he's going under the 'tank' category, which he actually fills fairly well with 22 AC at first level. EDIT: Is there any chance we can have Common as a bonus language if we're going to be progressing beyond WBG? Rumple isn't the smartest bite mark on the rock, if you know what I mean, but it'd be cool if he could communicate with people. |
