No chronicle sheet needed for me, thanks!

I'm happy to continue -- I love Rova -- but I guess I want to make sure we're all in. It definitely feels like we've slowed down a lot. I know that happens with PBPs, but I think it's also frustrating/hard to keep the thread of the story when it's a week between posts.

No worries; it happens! (Getting confused, not Unset punching me.)

"It seems like she might have been, if that's really what was happening," Rova answers dubiously.

Great Groetus, why is Unset hitting me?! :D

"It was a night hag! Or maybe another doppelganger pretending to be a night hag to take the blame off you!" Rova says, mind racing the possible permutations. She wonders if she should stab "Vandy," just to be sure.

Furious that this thing is ignoring him and attacking his halfling, Thkrull stomps on the hag!

Crit specialization: The target gets stuck to an adjacent surface by the missile. The target is immobilized and must spend an Interact action to attempt a DC 10 Athletics check to pull the missile free; it can’t move from its space until it succeeds.

Rova does the same hunting prey as part of it, or vice-versa, I guess.

"Who are you?"

Rova pulls the shiny thing from the ashes. Probably proof of Vandy's perfidy!

Rova starts looking for proof of Vandy's doppelganger-iness, peeking in the urns, since that's always a good place to hide things, thanks to the Pharasmins and their superstitions they're always trying to force on the populace.

I'm sure," Rova says, certain that Vandy is lying through his teeth once again. Sure in coincidental how he's being haunted no matter what they do, and now he's trying to send them into an embalming lab! Nothing good is going to happen there.

But Rova still hasn't managed to persuade her companions yet that Vandy is a dire doppelganger ... maybe something in there will be enough?

"Let's go check it out," she says, voice grim.

Not eating. Typical for a doppelganger. She looks to see if it's red wine (or a substance masquerading as red wine!) or white.

"What embalming lab?!" she asks coldly.

Rova glowers. She's wise to the ways of such tricky creatures, but if they have to go through, better to deal with it head-on.

"The doppelganger is trying to lure us back!" Rova warns darkly.

Rova tells Niksi all about their latest experiences, but then gets ready to share the good word about Groetus with another audience.

Rova looks up at the xulgath. "I guess it's OK to just leave her here, right?" she asks the others. Assuming no one objects, she starts heading back toward the circus.

"We secured the orb, so we should go back now!" Rova suggests. Considering it's PBP, unless there's anything critical still to do here, I'd say let's move on.

"Great Groetus," Rova prays in thanks, before looking around to see if there's any remaining sign of whoever was using the altar for ill (or if they were all below).

"To Groetus and beyond!" Rova exclaims as she agrees with Unset and Prism's plans.

"Did they kill two of their own?" Rova asks, eying the skeletons, unsure how long they've been there. "Doesn't it seem odd to keep them? If they're old, you wouldn't want to stay here with them, but if they killed them, also wouldn't you not want them here?"

She tends to everyone's wounds. I'll look around afterward if others haven't already done it while I'm Treating Wounds.

"Now this one!" Rova cries, urging Thkrull on as she sizes up the last remaining xulgath. As the elephant gets close, she patches his wounds.

+General feat: Incredible Scout: When you scout, you are particularly alert for danger, granting your allies precious moments to prepare to fight. When using the Scout exploration activity, you grant your allies a +2 circumstance bonus to their initiative rolls instead of a +1 circumstance bonus.

+Warden’s endurance: You shake off a grizzly's grab or a poison's ill effects with equal ease. Your proficiency rank for Fortitude saves increases to master. When you roll a success on a Fortitude save, you get a critical success instead.

+Medium armor expertise: You've learned to defend yourself better against attacks. Your proficiency ranks for light armor, medium armor, and unarmored defense increase to expert.

+Skill increase: Religion to expert

+Unimpeded journey: You move quickly through obstacles, whether they're tumbled stone or tangled undergrowth. You can ignore the effects of difficult terrain. As normal for ignoring difficult terrain, this also lets you treat the hindrances of greater difficult terrain as those of difficult terrain.

Plus Monster Hunter You swiftly assess your prey and apply what you know. As part of the action used to Hunt your Prey, you can attempt a check to Recall Knowledge about your prey. When you critically succeed at identifying your hunted prey with Recall Knowledge, you note a weakness in the creature’s defenses. You and allies you tell gain a +1 circumstance bonus to your next attack roll against that prey. You can give bonuses from Monster Hunter only once per day against a particular creature.

Positioned! This is fun -- couldn't find a place for Rova away from everyone, so she may have to do some melee!

Rova is pretty sure she could easily scramble up the shaft with Prism.

Rova starts treating Unset and Prism's wounds as Thkrull stomps around the xulgath's body to reinforce his superiority.

"Just be careful, Niksi!" Rova cautions as she works.

"Yeah! The Abadarans are almost as bad as the Pharasmins!" Rova agrees with Unset, though she's a little unsure why he's against statutes at this moment. This whole area seems pretty lawless. Sorry, couldn't resist.

She calls on Groetus and fires again toward the elemental.
