Male half-orc

Just a dot to say I am around - hope all is well with The Lonely DM.

Male half-orc

Hey Lonely DM, I don't want to be that guy, but what posting rate do you think can be expected from your end on this here venture of ours into Planescape?

Usually PbP starts with a flurry of posting, so I am a bit concerned with our rhythm...

Apologies if I am being blunt.

The kobold is noticeably more relaxed and happier speaking her native language.

Draconic:
"That I do my friend" - the half-orc smiles - "One of my... Mentors... Was very adamant that I learn it" - he adds - "And the common tongue is not that clumsy, come now"

.

Linguistics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

"Did you hear that disembodied voice?" - Rorx asks the others, his hand drawn to the weapon as he moves to the rail to look around into the milky surroundings.

Male half-orc

"Steering this one seems straightforward enough" - Rorx comments to the others, after they went over the pamphlet.

Bonehead the Kobold wrote:
She proudly puffs out her chest at Believer's question. "Yes, Dragon!" While it's difficult to see her smile, its presence is obvious.

"You are a Dragon?" - the half-orc questions his small companion.

Draconian:

"A juvenile perhaps?"

"I have studied the draconian language" - he adds to Believer - "Back in my... Home"

With a sigh, Khane raises his hands and concedes, letting the party have their equipment back. That's when The little gnome slides up Behind Believer "here is the instructions on the ship!" she coos, handing her a small Pamphlet. "Just read that. it's super simple, the ship basically Flys itself... just dont make the Air Elemental mad" she chuckled, skipping off.

Rorx keeps his eyes on the tiefling as he recovers his gear, then turns to Believer - "I may have gotten some of what you have explained, but definitely not all" - he grunts - "Any chance I can take a look at that?" - he nods at the pamphlet.

Bonehead the Kobold wrote:
Struggling with understanding what the devil woman had told her, the skull headed lizard responds. "Door-Portals. Keys...? City is danger, yes? Thieves, dragons?" Bonehead speaks slowly, tryin to ensure she says each word clearly.

"Yep, that is about what I understood also" - he chuchkles.

Male half-orc

Abyssal:

"So you are but a common thief? I expected more. Do as you please - I will not forget it"

Rorx grunts back at the tiefling in the same guttural tongue, crossing his arms over his chest.

Male half-orc

"So you do speak" - Rorx smiles at the kobold, then nods at the one called Khane - "Thank you" - he could feel the magic surging through his blood again.

"That would be the gear which was stolen from me" - he adds when he notices the tiefling looking it over - "May I have it back?"

Believer wrote:
She nodded and took the gnome's small hand in both of her own, feeling a bit like these folk meant to sell her the clothes on her own back and expect she should call it a bargain. "I've not piloted a ship a'fore. Have either o' ye?" She asked, turning to her two cell-mates.

"Never - but I learn fast" - Rorx grunts, eager to get out of the cell

Believer wrote:
"Ach! Sigil is The City at tha Center o' tha Worlds! It sits atop the Spire o' tha Hub. Sigil is the City o' Doors." She said with a sort of reverence in her voice. "If'n a place exists ta call home, there's a door leadin' there in tha Cage." She said with a nod of certainty that she hoped gave them comfort.

"Seems like the right place to be"

Bonehead the Kobold wrote:
Seeing the armored Tallfolk return after presumably looting the ship, Bonehead steps out fully from behind the green warrior and points insistently at its collar.

With a nod of agreement with the kobold, Rorx will set up to search for whatever may release them from the slave collars, if given a chance to do so.

Lilly(the Gnome) nods "aye! I mean what are we gonna do with a Gith Astral barge?" she chuckled "Tell ya what, we aint got no way t' fly this ship along side ours, You Help us get it to sigil to sell, and ya' got ya a free ride, eh?" Lilly holds out a hand to Believer

His first instinct is to press the matter, and demand attention in face of the rude gnome and she-demon, who are discussing his life in his presence without a word to him.

He pauses for a moment though, his reasoning taking precedence - "Fine by me. Wherever Sigil may be"

Male half-orc

"I am Rorx" - the half-orc ends up blurting, without really a better option at hand - "Where are we?"

Male half-orc

Weekend bump.

"What..?" - again the half-orc does not understand half of what the she-devil is saying, but he does approach her - "You want help with those bonds?"

Male half-orc

His attention now more focused on what is happening outside their cell, and less on the skeleton at the corner, Rorx moves up to the door and peeks outside.

Male half-orc

"Sorry - I am not following" - Rorx replies to the devilishly beautiful woman, his eyes still dead set on the skeleton though.

Male half-orc

I am good to go ;)

Almost without noticing it, Rorx stands up to interpose himself defensively between the skeletal figure and the kobold.

After shaking his head once or twice, he feels slightly more stable - "I have absolutely no idea how I ended up here... Or I have only some loose images - are you as lost as I am?" - he asks, not sure if the small one understands him.

Bonehead the Kobold wrote:
The lizard slips from the window, landing softly on its feet. When asked about what it saw, the kobold opened it's mouth, but nothing came out. Puzzled, it claws at the collar around its neck but is unable to remove it. Instead, the kobold points outside, holds up one finger and flattens its claws against its ears, extending its claws into a singular point.

"An elf?" - Rorx's face scrunches up in confusion.

Bonehead the Kobold wrote:
The skeleton catches the mute lizard's eye, and it approaches slowly. Looking to the others for approval, it moves to examine the bones.

"Take heed - it may be more than it looks" - the half-orc growls as the kobold approaches the skeletal remains. His hand goes instinctively to where his weapon would be, but of course it finds nothing.

Male half-orc

"Deader?" - Rorx grunted, simply pointing out one of the many words spoken to him he did not understand.

His eyes do follow where Believer is looking to though - "The skeleton..?"

Male half-orc

"We are moving" - Rorx mutters to himself as much as to the others - "Do you see anything out there?" - he asks as the kobold peeks outside.

Male half-orc

I obvioously meant to say 'Surprisingly, or maybe not, Believer receives a reply'...

Male half-orc

Surprisingly, or maybe not, Ayuruk receives a reply.

Infernal:

"I think we are in a cell. Hells damn me if I know why though... Who is Ayuruk? Another prisoner?"

The accent clearly marks him as a non-native, but the half-orc's command of the Infernal language itself is quite good.

Male half-orc

I assume we are not bound Lonely DM?

Rorx opens his eyes slowly - it feels like his whole body aches, even as he rolls around to look at the place where they locked him.

His head is also throbbing, and it only gets worse when he tries to get up. Trying to remember how he got there is painful - Mother, Father? - where were they? Where was he?!

A quick look around before getting up shows there are others around - he immediately drags himself to make sure his back is against a wall. Not much of a protection, but it is something...

Stripped bare from the waist up, no weapons, no equipment, and something heavy around his neck - he had seen and captured enough enemies to understand the current situation - he was a prisoner!

Seating down, the half-orc lean his muscular frame against the wall - his black hair and beard are disheveled, but his dark eyes begin to focus on what surrounds him - "Anyone alive in here?" - the words come out as a growl.

Male half-orc

Check.

Male half-orc

Crunch updated - still have some gear to purchase, but seeing as we have been stripped of everything, I guess it is not relevant for now :P

Also, Lonely DM, I assume Scourge, my familiar is around there somewhere with me, or...?

Male half-orc

All good from my end Lonely DM - though even if we did not set the pace from the start, and if we are being honest, I personally prefer at least one post a day. From my experience it keeps the game alive.

I would say Rorx is Rebel Good :D

I will be adding my crunch to the alias in a few, then I'll be ready to go.

Male half-orc

Wow, thanks a lot for the opportunity to join this one The Kobold Klan - good to be on board with you guys!

Male half-orc

Hey guys, in turning a new leaf as to how I approach my RPG PbP, I wanted to let you know I will be dropping out of this game... The pace at which the story and plot develop, as well as the long interruptions unfortunately do not work for me.

It is not a matter of mechanically being able to post - that part is easy. But with so many gaps, I simply feel detached from the story itself.

I can only apologize for letting you guys 'hanging', but games should be about having fun... Wish you all the best. Cheers!

Male half-orc

Ready for the dinner scene ;)

Male half-orc

And congrats! ;)

Male half-orc

Good luck with the new job ;)

Male half-orc

"Mi just sey things as mi si dem" - Rorx nods, looking at Cashara as she moves to join the elf - "Any male wud find har a strong mate mi tink" - he adds, then turns his attention to VV again - "Chips or sup'm fi nyam gud thinking. An yuh wi ave no problems inna finding anotha mate"

Male half-orc

"Nuh surprise mi dat yuh observe by males - yuh both beautiful an sturdy" - Rorx chuckles, finishing his drink and signaling for another.

Male half-orc

Rorx listens intently at the conversation, while waiting for his drink.

Male half-orc

"Let wi hope all dis ave a gud explanation - mi nuh really like hunting animals fi sport" - Rorx nods at the Cashara and Vixe as he waits for his drinks.

Male half-orc

Enjoy your vacations VV and Cashara! ;)

Rorxdoes not hesitate, and goes directly to this 'billiard room' whatever it may be , in search of a strong drink.

Will be around to post tomorrow. No promises about the 3rd. And. Definitely not for a few weeks starting the 4th, as I'll be off to Asia until the 23rd.

Enjoy!

And I agree with your previous post (the long one :D).

Male half-orc

”Saying mi a half breed just stating a fact It as obvious as pointless” - Rorx looks at both the Vixen and Cashara with a shrug and a chuckle, continuing up the stairs.

”Mi tink most here chat to much. Empty words an empty threats. Dem hollow” - he finishes with no more than a glance at Zulu and DeVill.

Male half-orc

Rorx hovers over the two women, but remains silent.

Male half-orc

Take care Cashara.

Male half-orc

Cool!

"Oh yes, I do suppose the years have not been kind to me. But don't fret, I can still shoot a rhino a mile away! "

"Neva doubt yuh wudda" - the half-orc smiles.

As Buckley seemed to 'lose his composure', Rorx was ready with a hand on the hilt of his weapon, but fortunately things seemed to defuse quickly.

"Magic part of mi blood" - he shrugs matter of fact.

Guys, I wanted to let you in on my upcoming schedule and some changes which will most likely impact my availability in game.

From the 3rd June I am starting a new job, and one with more responsibility than my latest ones - next week I will be starting the handover (Mon-Wed) in the mornings. This shouldn't impact my gaming much, but when work starts it most definitely will (I am hoping to get myself organized to post once in the am, and once in the evening, as even though I will most likely still have a PC in front of me most of the day, I am not sure how available I will be to post. And I want to focus strongly on this job opportunity).

Then, from the 15th June I have three (or four) weeks of vacations - WOHOOOOO!!!! So there's that also :D

Bottom line, from the next week until the... 15th of July or something along those lines, this will be a bumpy ride. I will keep you up to date on whether I will be able to keep up, etc. I'm not leaving though ;)

Male half-orc

Never saw Ozzy Man Reviews :D

But I think the series (which I have loved thoroughly) deserved a better rendered and detailed finale.

Male half-orc

VV:

"Understand now - yuh did nuh naked yuh just look naked"

Rorx chuckles, but then he becomes more serious.

VV:

"Vengeance a waah word mi understand - wah happen to yuh best bredren?"

"An wah ave pass wid Cashara? Wah mek did shi hurt?"

Cashara, I'm not sure if an SLA allows you to qualify for Arcane Strike :P
