And English astrologer and necromancer Roger Bolingbroke serves as high priest of Lucifer at the Witch's Sabbath...

Paddy's hook is as fast as a cat swatting at its prey, and catches Bolingbroke in the ribs--there is a cracking sound--and the struggling warlock gives up the struggle, going limp in Nacht's arms!

Alphonse tries to whack Boligbroke.

[dice=Concealment]1d100

[dice=Flanking (With Hisao still?) Attack]1d20+10
[dice=Damage (Nonlethal)]2d4+2d6+1d6+13

2d6 is Holy, 1d6 is Merciful

Foereaper's arcing course is arrested as the blade sinks into something invisible and a mist of red fills the air!

AAAAAAAAHHG!!!

Those able to see the invisible, grappled warlock see his face draining of color and a glazed look of pain in his eyes as he struggles to remain conscious and fighting....

Hisao of the Yellow Reeds wrote:

As Nacht seems to be doing a very good job of strangling the man Hisao has a fairly good idea of where the evil magic user is. He invisibly pushes his way past the guards and guesses at where a non lethal point on the invisible man would be.

[dice=Please add bonus for Hisao being invisible and flanking, Bolingbroke being grappled, non lethal stab]1d20+9-5;1d6+2+3d6+1d6

[dice=Miss Chance if applicable (low misses)]1d100

A miss....

Bolingbroke seems unphased by the flames of Iommi-Tyr's bomb, as though he were magically protected from fire....

Didn't the men ready for spellcasting too? Nonlethal is -4 to attacks.

Nacht, figuring this being was the one mentioned by the female-being thinks on what to so to it. Eventually he settles on a tactic he foun d useful in a previous matter, though yet no one knew he had fully been involved in the elimination of the artist.

From the ather, Nacht's swift and brutal hands reached out to begin to choke the being before it can act.

Concentration to get the greater invisibility off while bear-hugged by Nacht 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (15) + 19 = 34 vs DC 31

[dice=slash] 1d20+10+2; 1d6+5; 3d6

[dice=crit]1d20+10+2; 1d6+5

[ooc] going for non lethal....cant remember penalty for that...also debilitating injury is hampered...half move and cant take 5'step[/ooc

The Irishman flicks his wrist and GreenThorne buries itself in Bolingbroke's left thigh near his groin....

YEEAAAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!!

Bolingbroke utters a quick incantation, and vanishes to everyone's but Paddy's eyes!

Casting greater invisibility on himself....

[dice=Initiative]1d20+1

Alphonse shakes his head sadly.

"Forgive me for what I must do." he pleads to the guards, and sheathes his scythe in the light of mercy. He scans Roger Bolingbroke for signs of evil as he did the Witch.

Standard: Add Merciful to Foereaper, Move Detect Evil.

The stench of foul evil assaults Alphonse's nostrils as he looks into Bolingbroke's intelligent eyes....

Guards! Seize these murdering vagrants and put them to the sword at once! They have slain the Lady Jourdemaiyne! Kill them, as they have killed her!!

Initiative 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

My God!.... What have you done!?....

Bolingbroke looks severely surprised by this scene, and utterly bewildered by the goings on in his cellar....

Pausing in the foyer, Bolingbroke casts a spell to ward off potential danger from fire....

Casts resist fire on himself....

The warlock intones an incantation to armor himself against attacks with a body-hugging field of force magic....

Casts Mage armor on self

He then follows after the guardsman who alerted him to the scream down the stairs to the foyer, where the stairwell to the cellar awaits....

Roger rises and follows the guard down the stairs to the foyer, from whence they will descend the stairs into the cellar with the "ghost box"....

Perception vs Tyr's Disguise 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

Bolingbroke's eyes never leave the Witch's ample bosom....

Sense Motive vs Iommi-Tyr's Disguise check 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

Yes.... Adorable little pests....

The gentleman grins at the pretty lady....

The gentleman sees the children enter and scowls at them.

Mary and Thomas! I believe I told you to go play elsewhere while father entertains his guest!

The two children freeze in their tracks.

Thomas: Sorry, father!

Mary: Please don't be cross, father! We were playing in the cellar, but....

Thomas nudges Mary hard....

Thomas: We'll go play in the hedge maze, won't we, Mary!?

Mary: Uh.... Yes....

The children bow to Bolingbroke and his lady guest, and hurry back out of the room....

Around noon, in the dungeon below the White Tower of the Tower of London, Roger Bolingbroke, a man considered great and cunning in the lore of alchemy, astrology, and like arcane arts, has been employed by Duke of Bedford to interrogate a group of suspected black witches and Devil-worshippers....

To a naked and terrified young woman strapped wrist and ankle to the rack: Is it true ye consorted with The Devil and did fornicate with the Arch Fiend, producing cambions and tieflings with your wanton coupling?

EDIT: Roger Bolingbroke was employed by the Duke of Gloucester, not the Duke of Bedford....

LIAR!!! You are a witch who worships The Devil, are you not!?

With cruel and pathological fascination at the young woman's torment, Roger turns the winch that tightens the rack another notch, causing excruciating pain to rip through the young woman's joints....
