I am sorry to say that I am going to need to step away from the table. RL has prevented me from even looking to see how the game has been going. Hopefully when things settle down again I will be able to adventure with you all again.

Not sure if this is any help: Scout: You can read the land like the back of your hand. You get a Notice roll at –2 to detect traveling encounters before they occur, ignore up to 2 points of penalties when tracking with Survival, and +2 to Common Knowledge rolls to recall information about towns, outposts, landmarks, tribes, or watering holes along routes you’ve traveled before. Or Woodsmen: REQ:Novice, Spirt d6, Survival d8, +2 to Survival and Stealth in the wilds.

Rodan seeing that the rest of the group is out of sight. Slows down and makes a wide circle to heard the group back together while keeping a lookout for them bush whackers.

Rodan jumps up on his horse. he makes sure his rifle is in easy reach.
As they are riding along Rodan calls out to the others "Could it be Borak returning. I think that spooking cattle and being flashy was his style."

Rodan still thinks this man is hiding something, but he plans to keep him close so he can keep an eye on him.

Rodan starts to talk to Thomas Booker to find out what outfits he worked for. What type of skills Thomas has, etc.
Rodan's questions is to get to know the man better and to see if he truly knows how to run cattle like he claims.

Seeing the swarm heading for the cattle, Rodan lets out a warning.
"Get the cattle out of the water! Some type of serpent swarm coming"

And Rodan starts to try and get the cattle moving out of the water.
