"Yes. Busy. Beyond reason.", Túrion just worded, not keen on adding detail.
He had left home with an open mind, but the more experiences he made in this city, the lower his esteem for humans had gotten. There was only plotting, corruption, an utter lack of morality, and the one he had been interested in getting out turned out to be the worst offender.

He held no illusion that Aral was only doing all this because the Status Quo was more beneficial and convenient to him than a war, and Turick most likely only meant to strengthen his own position by weakening rivals.

He was here, stuck playing a role, again, because no doubt showing his true self would lead to one of these hairless monkeys betraying his master and causing undue trouble for personal gain. The whole race was so thoroughly morally corrupted it was frightening. The only ones that stood out as integer and praiseworthy were those human companions he had travelled with, and all had been eccentric or outcasts from regular society in their own way - something that made a lot more sense now.

But Mel had decided to make her home among these humans, so she was well suited to dealing with them, and Túrion gladly let her take point.

Well, doesn't look good.
I did have my character mostly ready by last thursday, but OP is gone since last weeks Monday. Of course, there could be some reasons for that, but few where he can't pop in and leave a 2-liner letting us know he'll be unavailable a while.

My hopes are sinking, fast, but would've been fun to play with the lot of you. Very interesting concepts, you had there.

With the mage going invisible, Túrion spares a moment to seek a new target, choosing the Dwarf that stands out. The runes on his robe glow a moment before a set of magic missiles shoot out towards their target, causing it to fall into maniacal laughter for a while. He then holsters the Rod and focuses on Fennith.

Move action to holster Rod, Swift to activate Robe, Standard to Magic Missile the Dwarf - he gets a move action next round.

"Fennith...it worked - I breached the veil - I...will do introductions afterwards. " Taking a few steps forward as well to meet her in the middle of the small room, he absent-mindedly pulls a Rod from his belt.
Glancing at the door, moments later, he became visible while a set of firey rays struck out towards the enemy caster in an attempt to disrupt his concentration.
Attack 1, Ranged Touch vs. Flatfooted: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 1 + 1 = 28 Fire Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 4, 3) = 13
Attack 2, Ranged Touch vs. Flatfooted: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 1 + 1 = 20 Fire Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2, 3) = 12

all of those minus whatever Cover he has, probably -4?
Almost simultaneously, several Magic Missiles shoot out from the same outstretched hand and home in on the mage as well.
Magic Missiles: 5d4 + 5 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 4, 3) + 5 = 16

Túrion, still invisible, steps from the corner, and starts an incantation, cautiously focusing on the man on the floor in front of him.

I expected to DD in simultaneously with whoever else goes in first, so that we can get everybody in. I mean, we can even do a "on the count of three" to start the process simultaneously.
Also, I did state the pre-buffs previously, but we got sidetracked a bit so reposting them - pre-buff with Invisibility and Heightened Perception on Túrion, and Shield + Mirror Image, Greater Magic Fang and Barkskin on Nelly. Then a Haste enhanced by Potent Spell(for a total of 11 rounds), directly followed by dimension-dooring.

Robin swiftly describes the locale, and the fact that destruction of evidence was already in progress, before focusing on Nelly and starting to cast a series of protective spells, eventually vanishing herself.
Mel and Nelly find themselves held, then are shifted towards the basement as well.

Meanwhile, Túrion remained in a safe area, and casts clairvoyance, focusing on the largest room in the basement of the shop as a place for the sensor, expecting to get sufficient information to be able to shift there later, with his allies.
Due to casting time, no need for this to be in the alley. I common room in a nearby inn, a toilet in a public bath, or even right at the entrance of the sewers if they can be accessed from the alley. Whatever seems reasonable and doable swiftly.
Disguise: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
Using Melias modifier since I specifically wrote I'd ask her to help with the disguise. With different race and different gender, that's still a 26 - so I assume I'll make a passable human woman :D

I understand that Solo Campaigns are the least 'efficient' in terms of behind-the-scenes work that needs to be done.

I am sorry to hear it, and would like to pick up again if that becomes a possibility for you later.
I don't like it, of course, but I understand the decision.

Maybe think of me if something opens up in Zeitgeist, too ;)
Otherwise, best of luck to you and your wifey, and thanks again for the DDLG term.

"Oh, by all means. We're here to help you, after all! And to be honest, that sounds a lot more interesting than reading and filling out papers.", Robin responds cheerfully:"Just need to get a hold of Kami-he meant to do some research...is early afternoon good for you? Do you need anything else for the cleansing?"
There were, of course, further question...such as why there was an Allip trapped in a book...but it was Petros library, and he seemed to have a ton of interesting books there.
For a moment, Robins face turns to a frown when she remembers the small fight with her brother about wether or not she could read any of the books...but she decided not to dwell on that.
Instead, she said farewell and headed to the market to do the grocery shopping(and some other errands).

Robin stays well away from Harken, who seemed - insane. Instead, she made sure to buy a small treat for Old River, then went to chat with the other girls.
She and her brother had been travelling quite a bit now, and Robin learned that having too many friendly talks with men often led the village to - uhm - assume she would go further. That was not a good reputation to have, with the woman scorning her and the man harassing her. So she always tried to make contact with the woman first.
She said hi to Marta, spent a moment checking Jorfa's wares, then went for a friendly chat with Councilwoman Straelock, and the Apothecary Jominda.
The former potentially was a great source of information on what was going on, more specifically, if the council already knew more about what had happened at the memorial, or if there were any suspicions.
The latter, on the other hand, seemed to know how to have fun. Well, the way she acted suggested she knew at least one way to do so. Also, she was an Apothecary...which meant she possibly had some interesting herbs in stock. The sort that made having fun more fun. Or herbs to prevent pregnancy. Robin assumed she was barren, not having had her period yet, but then, that sort of thing often was wonky with half-breeds like her, so better save than sorry...and better to be prepared just in case.

Quote:
Short Version: I work for a school district via an interpreting agency. A couple months ago, the district threw out my contract due to a shortage of students. Of course, this happened AFTER the school year started. My boss at the agency couldn't find any work for me, so I started looking for a new job. Then the hurricane hit. Fortunately, since then, I've quit working for that agency, been hired by a new school district, and have guaranteed full-time employment. Now I just need to rebuild our savings, as we're a single-income household, and I've basically been unemployed for the last 3 months.

Mh...glad things turned around.

Here, it's hard to make ends meet with a single income, due to taxes and social security/insurance etc...but then, losing a job is not a huge issue since you get paid a large chunk(80 %) of what you earned for up to 12 months(depends how long you were employed), and then a baseline amount afterwards.

But happy to hear that you got a new district and full-time job :)

Wow, sounds like a lot going on...take your time. If I know about it, I won't worry :)

Once Kamali is gone, Robin finds Kendra, providing whatever services she needs, and running the errands necessary. If any of those errands bring her in contact with one of the people she met at the bar(or another time) Robin will stop and try to participate in some friendly small-talk.
They are suspicious of outsiders, and now this happened, we need to leave a good impression with those who will let us do so...

"Good! We have a plan then!"
Despite her obvious hangover, Robin's cheerful disposition was back.
"I'll go ask what Kendra will want assistance with today!", she heads towards the door, then stops, and walks over to Kamali. "Thanks again for getting me home save!", she gives him a peckish kiss on the cheek, then whirls around and out the door.

Robin KNEW her brother would always keep her safe. But she knew better than to take that for granted - she was grateful for having such a reliable brother, and that needed to be expressed! Every time! After all, she also expected him to look after her every time...

Robin cocks her head:"We'd fare great! We'd have the element of surprise, after all! Those haunts would never expect us to rush in and check on them!" - she follows up with a laugh...more a small giggle, really.
"Just pulling your leg...you are right, we can do some research, but I already did ask around...if you want to read up in some books, go ahead, and I'll take care of whatever Kendra needs today. In the evening, we could go sneak towards the memorial, see if we can find ourselves a ghost! Then tomorrow, we head to Harrowstone!"
If there's a reason not to head there yet, Kamali can uncover a pointer during his research, I guess...right now, it seems the most direct and best lead...

"Aye, the Sheriff did. But think about it. Petros had been investigating Ruins since...forever, and then what gets him is not some monster who took residence in a ruin, or some trap, or some criminals, no, a statue breaks off and falls on him? And you heared that music when these oversized mosquitos attacked our carriage. And now the defiled memorial?"
Robin realizes she's not in her nightgown, but rather still in her undergarments from the previous night, and simply puts on her dress again:"Either someone pretended to be the Fiddler and desecrated the Memorial...in which case that someone might have killed Petros. Or there is something unnatural going on there, and the place is really haunted, and these ghosts are reaching out beyond the place, not content to stay put."
Approaching a standing mirror(of course a guest room would have that...but it is great Kendra would think of providing that sort of thing) Robin checks her appearance, then turns to her brother again:"In either case, you know we are the most qualified to take a look. Or would you rather wait and see if the next people on a carriage are as capable of fending of an assault as we were?" - Robin can't help but smile at her brother...inwardly, she was grinning in triumph...there was nothing Kamali could possibly answer...she would get what she wanted...

"I THINK if it was common, they would either have mentioned it yesterday, or it wouldn't be a big deal right now. So I believe that is something new.", Robin responds, looking around:"Kendra could probably tell us more, no need to go ask random people about the frequency of bloody writings on memorials."
Robin stretches, then attempts to stand up again:"That said, if she doesn't need us today either, then I'm fine talking to people. But maybe we should go take a look at Harrowstone. I'm not saying we'd go in, just go check out the place.", she quickly add's with a defensive hand gesture.

"Oh don't be ridiculous...why would either of us do anything of the sort! I meant I remember, with certainty, that I've been asking about Harrowstone.", Robin explains while holding her head:"And I'm afraid of what folks around here think. Unless that's a common occurance, and didn't start right after we arrived here."
Robin sips her water some more:"I know we wouldn't do that, but the people don't. I'm afraid they'll whisper and point fingers at us. We'll have to find out what's really going on, or people like that troublemaker will chase us out of the city with pitchforks and torches accusing us of being behind that no matter what really happened."
Talking so much was exhausting, but there was one more thing:"Thanks for carrying me home. I hope I didn't give you any trouble. Do you have any idea what we could do? I'd think about it myself, but...", she adds a weak smile to that - it certainly was not the first time she had drunk a bit more than she should have.

With a thin voice, very silent, Robin comments:"Oh...oh no. I...Kamali, I talked with people about Harrowstone!"
Taking a moment to recollect herself, Robin adds:"I think I did -", then a moment later: "No, I certainly did. I do remember that. What if they now think it was us? They are not fond of strangers here..."
Standing up partially, then quickly sitting back down, with a head on her forehead, Robin takes another sip of water:"Also, I have a headache...just what happened yesterday? Last thing I remember was when Riff suggested some drinking game and that Councilman said he'd pay for mine..."
Robin closes her eyes, gently rubbing her temples, trying hard to remember, then giving up when she realizes that simple makes her more aware of the pain.

When Kamali arrives at the Lorrimor mansion, Robin is already lightly snoring.
Placing her in the bed, he himself sits down in the comfy arm chair he had picked as resting place. A few hours later, he awakens to find Robin curled up on the floor at his feet, with the Blanket covering her.
It's okay, we can go ahead - as said, I'll trust you on pacing or level-of-detail on events.(We can go home and skip to the next day. We can go home and bring her to bed, we can go home and interrupt the way home because she needs to vomit, we can go home and interrupt at the tavern door because Robin wants another drink. - Picking the first does not exclude the other things from happening. We skip ahead, and maybe Robin still wanted another drink, then had to take a break on the way, fell asleep and was undressed and tugged in by Kamali - that simply not having been played out :) I'll simply roll with the prompts given.

Lifting her head from the table, Robin smiles in a drunken stupor:"Weeeh...piggyback ride!"
She had been frail as a child, ill. When she finally was allowed to leave the bed and her room, she wanted to enjoy life, enjoy nature, and more often than not, her brother had to carry her back home because she was too weak. And it was just like this.
Using the bench, Robin manages to scamper up, then snuggles up to her brothers back, commenting:"You smell good.", as her breath tickles his neck for a moment, before she rests her head on Kamali's shoulder.

Oh, I'm interested in seeing Kamali's reaction, but if you don't want to extend the inn scene further, feel free to either have Robin pass out(and taking her home), or push her into leaving(you'll have to hold her hair while she vomits halfway back to Kendra's place...fair warning) ^_^

That said, she won't make a scene if it's Kamali...it's deeply ingrained that he wants to keep her save, he is a voice of reason, he is family.
She may talk back or disagree, but in the end, she'd do whatever he orders. That is, she's more likely to throw a tantrum when she's sober than when drunk, because right know she knows her ability to judge a situation is impaired...know what I mean?

(Like you only get a trusted person as a sitter when doing hallucinogenic drugs - Kamali is hers - even if this is just alcohol-)

Hehe, the dice gods WANT me to go there...their verdict is clear.

Robin attempts to sit down on the other bench of the corner table, losing balance and falling on the bench in the process, barely missing the wall with her head. Sitting back up, she grabs on Kamali's hand squeezing it in her own: "Oh mosey on waaay down on, plum one mo'e drink. Well, as a single player, I have to do all the rumor-gathering by myself :)
Finding some of them enjoyable company, Robin chats some more...and drinks some more. One of the Councilman seemed not very keen of Robin, the other seemed a bit too keen...so soon she sat down with the Deputies. Riff's dirty jokes actually were funny - Robin had not heard most of them before, and Mister Bear was a very good listener!

After another couple hours (and another couple drinks), Robin finds her way to Kamali, holding on to the table as she talks to him, lightly swaying:"Sup, dude broder, how are ya' doin'? Dem Drinks are awesome but tavern keepa' aint givin' me any mo'e. Can ya' go fetch me some ghost wahtahmellunie?"

With her brother hiding away in a corner table, behind a book, Robin chats a bit more with the Council Members, then chats some more with the Deputies, staying clear of both the Troublemaker and the Drunkard.
While chatting, she happily drinks, adding to Kamali's tab, and tries to learn more about why Petros even went to Harrowstone - he might have been too curious for his own good, but there must have been a reason he went there.
After all, she simply means to understand why her friend died, if she learns a bit more about the haunted place nearby, thats just a side effect of that.
Well, not a great roll, but maybe good enough for some common rumours.

"I am glad to hear that! My brother likes books, but I like people. We travel a lot, and I think a book is the same here, or in Lepidstadt, or wherever else. The words don't change, the content doesn't change...the value of travelling, to me, is in getting to know the people in the places we visit. Learn what sets their space in the world apart from everywhere else. What is important to them, what they hope for and what they fear. See things with their eyes, and if possible, try and walk a day in their shoes- When I first came to this village, I feared we would be outcasts no matter how polite we'd be...thank you for showing me it's not so."

Well, my mother tongue is austrian german, I wouldn't necessarily say "preferred language" but definitely the one I have the broadest and most versatile mastery over. - I used to speak Japanese on a conversational level, most basic school french, and a little Russian. The latter two are completely rusty, and with Japanese, I'd struggle these days. So I cling to English quite ferociously - it's the only language I have left beside austrian german... :D

Robin shivers for a moment, enjoying the scare-story:"Spooky indeed! And he surely perished? Could he have escaped while it burned down? Maybe the inferno was just a cover-up for a prison break? Or do you think whoever attacked Hank was an imposter, a copy-cat? Oh, your cup is empty..." - gulping down the remainder of her drink, Robin swallows and speaks on:"...oh my, mine is too...Kamali, be a dear and fetch us 2...what do you want, Marta?"
When he is gone, Robin leans in closer:"So is it REALLY really bad? Harrowstone would seem like the place teenagers go to on a dare, trying to be brave and impress their crush - was it only Petros or have there been other incidents in the past?" - she does not put much effort into hiding her intent to see the place for herself.

We came all the way here and he was a dear friend...", Robin explains...then suddenly thinks about something else:"You seem knowledgeable about local affairs, Marta! Do you know anything about a Fiddler? Burt was supposedly attacked by his pets while he drove us to Ravengro...he's currently still recovering but will survive...but I was wondering about this Fiddler-person?"

"Oh, we just might! I WANT to learn all the secrets, but it's more fun TRYING to find them. So we'll spend a week or two in the dark just guessing at things, and then we'll come and ask you for help - but if you tell us everything worth finding out up front, then what else would we do the other 3 weeks we are here? You just said it yourself, there's not a lot going on around here- so we appreciate the offer, and may well take you up on it, in a week or two", Robin offers Pevrin a encouraging smile.

"Oh, so that is what happened...the letter has not said, and it felt wrong to ask Kendra about the circumstances of Petros demise. I mean, we are here to support her, to help her, not to make her share details about a topic causing her so much grief. So he was looking into Harrowstone and a statue fell on him? - and you say thats a genuine haunted place? A burned down prison? With restless spirits?" Robins eyes glow as she asks, before she turns to Kamali and all but grabs him:"Kamali, I want to go see that place!", turning back to Marta:"It's not dangerous during the day, right? Just at night?"

Robin laughs about his joke, too, if only to be friendly: "Hi Mister Elkarid. We will spend plenty of time in the town itself, getting a tour of the place would spoil the joy of discovering it ourselves - I was honestly more interested in any nearby attractions worth checking out. Stuff outside the town but close enough to be back by nightfall-anything come to mind?"

"Kendra is doing ok. Of course, she's in mourning, but she manages to cope. Her father wasn't the youngest fellow, and his work often seemed dangerous, so maybe she had subconsciously been prepared for this for a while now. If you run the General Store, I'm certain we'll see soon, anyway, I need some supplies...and I think I saw your children play, cute, those...someday I want kids, too! Ah...enough...you mentioned Harrowstone? Why's it not safe? Do tell!", Robin is genuinely interested in the gossip about the place-

"Oh, fun place!", Robin states as they enter. Taking a look at her brother told her everything...he would seek out a corner of the place soon(...one day, I'll drag him into some round bar and see him get desperate when he realizes there's no corners...), then read a book sipping on his drink...not just yet, though - she grabs his arm and drags him towards the counter:"Oh, look, Troll Blood? Devil's Seed? No...I'll take Angel's Tears...", clearly, she is excited about the humorous names. (I saw you had an undead theme there, but I had a hard time with drinks so I expanded the list.)
Arriving at the counter, she turns to face Kamali:"You'll stay for at least ONE drink before you sneak into some corner...", then scans the other patrons...the talkative man and the energetic female seemed most fun out of those...so once they had placed their order, she dragged Kamali on over there:"Hi, I'm Robin. This is Kamali. We'll be here for a month or so. Is there anything we absolutely have to see or do around here?"
Then it's a good thing you have someone extroverted tagging along. ;)

Tee-hee.
Sobbing, Robin lifts her head from between her kness and looks at her brother: "And do what? Sit in a corner quietly and paint with Crayons?" Snivelling, she stops hugging her legs close and sits up: "Sorry. That was not fair - I'm coming. But YOU pick up the tab, and you don't treat me like a little kid in public!"
Bright and Cheerful sounds fun!

Robin stomps with one foot, childishly, annoyed that her brother saw through her:"So boring - YOU are the one all broodish about our mothers gift, and wanting to learn to understand it. You never will if you refuse to read those works really relevant! Face it! Mum was a Necromancer! Urgathoa is the Goddess of Undeath. Do I have to spell things out for you?"
Out of a sudden desire to rebel, Robin throws 'Serving your Hunger' at her brother before stomping off with the other three books.
She places them back in the book chest, locks it, then finds a empty room to indulge in self-pity...I just meant to share in his hobby...be a good sister and let him pick. I did nothing wrong, books are made to be read. Petros was reading them, too. And more people will read them when they are back in Lepidstadt. Just not me, no, little Robin can't handle it. He thinks I'll go and become a cannibal after reading ONE Urgathoan text...I'm not a kid any more damnit... ...and so on

And THAT's the one I'll read first...thanks, brother!
"Jeez...it's just books. Written words. You know, letters arranged to make sense? You like those, usually. And nobody forces you to read. But whatever, I'll put them back." - ...after I read them...
Maybe her grin is a bit too cheerful, but Robin was not going to be intimidated by a book, of all things. Kamali always told her to read more, so, she would.

"We'll provide company, and any help you need settling those affairs. Don't hesitate to ask if there's something you need read or put in writing.", Robin answers.
It would not only be about company, after all.

When there's a chance to check out the book chest, she checks the first page of each, expecting to see if it was readable to her, and hoping to be able to deduce, roughly, the topics she could expect to be covered in the books. Then she'll carry the chest down to their room, taking them out of their container and striking a pose presenting all four of them to Kamali:"Ta-daaaa! Forbidden Knowledge, at our fingertips. Which one do you want to read?"

"That...was unexpected. And a lot of money left to us for the simple task of returning some books, and looking after someone for a while. To be honest, I would have done both those tasks simply as a favor, without a payment...but obviously I won't disrespect his kindness by refusing it. We'll gladly help you setting things in order, if you would have us, Kendra?"
Robin looks over at Petros daughter, waiting for her reaction.
Those tomes sound interesting. I'll definitely have to make sure they are all in that trunk. And complete. I may need to check them page by page, making sure nothing is missing...i hope most are written in a language I can read...

But when I first was up to post, I figured I'd need a moment to write up something to say and didn't post inmediately. Later I had decided on basically what I posted, but seeming only thought I already did so. Oh well :)

"I last saw the good professor a good while ago. I was travelling, then, trying to learn more about the world, understand what life is all about. And my first meeting with him, I thought him dead. He lay wounded, bleeding, near the entrance of some ruins. The mercenaries he had hired to escort him had decided that the objects they retrieved were worth more than their pay, and meant to leave him for death. I had heard them, and so his time had not come then. It was by chance I was there to save him, and any respectable person would have done the same, but he was thankful all the same. He insisted to travel with me and my dear brother for a while, covering our expenses, learning more about who we are...and I learned so much from him. Mister Lorimmor was a man with many fields of expertise, with life experience, with passion for the things he did. And yet, every day, he would talk about his dear daughter, and how glad he was that he would see her again. I am sad to have learned of his passing, but I am happy for him that he was able to spend his final days the way he wanted to, with his beloved child by his side. He achieve much in his life, but he never forgot the things really important...like family. Thank you for listening."
During much of the speech, Robin had adressed all those present...but in her penultimate sentence, she focuses on Kamali, searching for eye contact...he was her family, now, and she would never want to be without him.
@Grimburrow: Oh my, he does look scary, no wonder they fled. Is he moving? I mean, like a living being(rather than a undead one)?

Oh my. Apologies, I thought I had posted here. And was wondering since you were active in the other thread. And meant to poke you.
Only to realize the fault lies with me.

I suppose that is a thing with solo games...in group-based ones, someone else would eventually post and I would realize my own post is missing, but in solo games, if I don't respond instantly, I'll have to remember to do so later :P

If I did not tell you I will be missing a few days, and I take longer than 2 or 3 days to post, feel free to give me a poke in discussion. I'll get a post up later today.

When Kendra speaks up, Robin feels content to have done something right, but when Kamali smiles and nods, her heart jumps.
The approval of a stranger was nice, but the approval of a big brother? Priceless.
It takes her a moment to realize she is grinning, before getting her facial features back under control and presenting a more fitting, serious expression for the occassion again.
Taking Kendra's hand in hers once again, she gets back into the procession, sharing the councilmens sentiment.

Just in case that was not clear, I'm trying to undermine the ring leaders 'ooomph' with his lackeys.
I hope to make others doubt if what they are doing is a good idea(both in case of necromancy and in case they go against the spiritual leader) so his support crumbles.

Ultimately, I hope that if others of the posse double-guess their actions and some end up getting wet feet, he will also tuck his tail between his legs and leave.
He is just the catalyst she uses, but Robins words are adressed to all of them.

"Me? No. The keeper of your customs, and of this graveyard, is Father Grimburrow, who is waiting for us at the grave. You are the one who is challenging his authority on the matter, I'm just questioning why based on what little I know about the subject. Shall we fetch him and hear what he has to say? See if he can clear this up?", Robin offers with a subservient tone, then takes a step pointing towards the entrance when she helpfully offers to ask the father to provide spiritual guidance-

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Slightly squeezing Kendras hand during the second the the thug spoke up, Robin then lets go, interrupting before Kendra can speak up:"Mister Lorrimor was many things, but definitely not a necromancer. Even so, even if you don't believe me, you did not think that through. We bury our people in sacred soil, in the restlands, so that they may find rest, pass on to be judged by Pharasma. If there's any trouble with undead, with spirits, with necromancy, it's always OUTSIDE the sacred grounds us civilized folk burrow our dead in. Now if you were right and Lorrimor was what you think, do you want him here, passing on to Pharasma, or somewhere upriver and his spirit dwelling in this world to take revenge on those who would deny his sacred rest? Think very carefully before you answer - if you are right, your fate may depend on it.", Robin gives the man her most cheerful smile to make perfectly clear that not she was threatening them.
I forgot I had no intimidate any more, so...lets call it gunboat diplomacy-

Robin is tensed up, ready to signal her souls to turn visible and rush at the peasants blocking their way...it would not do much except scare them, but that was valuable enough on it's own....albeit Robin would prefer a less flashy resolution, for Kendra's sake.

I'll leave the pacing up to you :) Otherwise I would have to know wether there is "content" to be experienced or not. So I may either dwell on a scene where there's nothing more to do, or stumble around and not see something that may still be relevant - I trust you to handle it sensible and gently push us along.

"I will tell Kamali to make sure we're there in time!", Robin exlaims, wondering for a short moment if she depended too much on him, then shaking the thought and continuing: "You said we were the only ones to arrive so far...no other family? Basically I am asking...if you want someone to walk with you tomorrow, steady you and hold your hand. I am not family, but I can only imagine that walking that path alone would be hard."

"Yes, it is me! I suppose I should not be surprised be the accuracy of your hearing..."
But it's good we can talk like this...if I was mute, we would need telepathy to talk...or an interpreter-
Robin comes closer, taking a look at the plate, when suddenly her stomach grumbles:"I suppose there's no use in denying it, now - but I can honestly say that I had not realized how hungry I have grown until I saw the food. You are too kind, Kendra. Can I help somehow?"

Helping, or sitting down, depending on her answer, Robin maintains small-talk, waiting for an opportune moment to ask:"When will the funeral be? I'll need to get my good clothes cleaned before then, if possible. You can't see me, but I'm afraid my current attire is a bit too laissez faire for the occassion."

Robin finishes rinsing, then enters the tub while watching the door. The water feels cold, but is refreshing regardless, and lightly scented with some oil.
She attempts to simply enjoy the bath and stop worrying, but finds herself unable to do so, her mind wandering and restless.
Enduring only a few minutes in the tub, she gets out and drys up.
Still all tensed up. Maybe at night when he sleeps? I'll see.
Wrapping herself in the towel, she makes her way to their room, her hand already on the handle when she thinks better of it and knocks, then shouts through the closed door:"Brother dearest, the bath is all yours. I'll get dressed in a minute, then will find Kendra...join us when you are done!"

Once her brother departs for the bath, Robin will enter their room, and find another set of clothes from her luggage. Dressed again, she'll find her way through the mansion in search of Miss Lorimor, whom she intends to ask regarding the details of the funeral...which was what they came for, after all-

Hehe - interested to see how he does evolve, as well!

When the door opens, Robins first instinct was to cover up.
But she quickly realized that only 2 people could be interrupting her. One of them was blind, and the other her brother.
And there was no reason to hide from either. Travelling together and sharing rooms afforded little privacy, and they did go swimming nude together in the forest lake when they were younger.
But he did avert his eyes...
Standing firm, Robin kept facing her brother:"I'll make sure to hurry up. The water's not hot enough for a long soak, anyway."
...they are smallish, but you did not have any boobs when you were swimming together...he's just being a gentleman by not staring...
Blushing ever so slightly, after a moment of hesitation, Robin added: "And it would have been proper to knock. If...you know, just in case."
...2 minutes later and he might have found you "relaxing" in the tub...and that would be awkward...
