Sorry, I've been excruciatingly busy lately and had to make some cuts to free time. I'll level tonight, but I can't guarantee I'll still have time to post regularly in the immediate future. Feel free to DMPC if I don't post for a couple days at a time.
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
Craft:Clockwork: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15 I was asking because usually craft skills take a long time. I thought maybe Kn: Engineering might have been the appropriate check.
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
Iron Sprocket will take any gems not taken by the rest of the party. "Jenya, I believe that crystal radiates all of the heat to allow this life to grow here, but how I am not sure. How about I take a look at that clockwork raven? I think I may be able to see about getting it fixed. At the same time, one of you can attempt to see who is hiding here."
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
Eyeing Jenya's raised pistol, Iron Sprocket puts away his morningstar and says "maybe it best NOT to immediately threaten people, especially someone else possibly stuck down here." He then glances over at the dirt pile. "I too see the pile, but I can't see anything in it from here."
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
Iron Sprocket places himself between the crystal scorpion and his allies and readies a devastating strike. Readied Morningstar w/ PA: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 221d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
Now that they've attempted to harm him, Iron Sprocket moves forward and attacks one of the creatures. Morningstar w/ PA and Bless: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 151d8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
Iron Sprocket Readies an action to attack anything that comes near him. Readied Morningstar with Power Attack and Bless: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 211d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 With the only seeming threat gone, Iron sprocket prepares to strike anything else that seems threatening.
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
"How do we even know that's what we're after? I say we focus more on the task at hand," Iron Sprocket responds quietly. "Besides, how do we even know it's hostile?
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
Attempting to divert conversation away from the topics regarding himself, Iron Sprocket agrees with Jenya. I don't think many of us are the stealthy type, and anything you did attract, I'm sure we can deal with.
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
Iron Sprocket continues to wail away, moving in position to flank with anyone available. Morningstar w/ Power Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 171d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 Subtract 2 from hit if flank not available.
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
Iron Sprocket will attempt to clear a path through the vines so they can get moving past them. Morningstar w/ Power Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 121d8 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
Iron Sprocket will generally try to protect his allies by casting buffs on himself and putting himself between harm and the less armored allies. He then attempts to power attack with the morningstar, unless the target is incredibly hard to hit, then avoid power attack. All stats should be on his character sheet. Assume he prepares the following every day: Prepared Spells:
Of note, still looking to make use of this lvl 3 feat. Still stuck in this Breastplate :P Have fun while I'm gone guys!
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
Of note, I will be out of the country without my computer from the 7th through the 15th, so posting will be very very sparse if at all during that time. Feel free to DMPC as necessary.
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
Yes, Rheynold is acting as if he is offended at the insinuation, mostly to make them think that he is indeed human but also to gather more information about why they feel he is inhuman to better cover it up in the future.
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
"Well, before we started this journey, I spent much time on an expedition to lands far from the dome. Perhaps this accounts for any discrepencies." Bluff: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
"What are you talking about. Am I not as human as you or Tamayra are? It's true we're all no longer the same humans as our ancestors after being forced underground, but why would you insult me like this, especially now?" Here goes nothing. Bluff: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30 Edit: Woo!
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
Iron Sprocket remains calm as the group travels through this community, knowing the sooner they make it through here, the sooner he will be able to remove this cloth from around his face and finally regain his sense of sight.
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
Iron Sprocket thanks Mal'c for his time and wishes him luck. Afterwards... Once the trio arrives he allows Aak to make the introductions and speak with them as they have already met, though Iron Sprocket is clearly intrigued by the nature of these underground creatures. At the talk of light he speaks to the trio, clearly not recognizing that they probably speak very little common. "I apologize if this offends you as I have no desire to do so, but how will we be able to follow your navigation through the caves without light for us to see? Shall we tie ourselves together or possibly follow the sounds of your footsteps?" Bluff: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19 He then turns to his party members. "Does anyone have any other ideas?"
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
There is nothing you can do to make me uncomfortable with anything. The more "real" the better IMO. Iron Sprocket thinks back to the beasts from below that attack his people's adopted homeland and sighs. "This is nothing compared to some of the beasts in the wilds below. However, how sentient beings could resort to these bestial tactics is beyond me."
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
Iron Sprocket, pleased with how his armor is holding up, takes a mighty swing at the beast. "Are these creatures normally hostile?" Morningstar w/ Power Attack and Aak's Bless: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 231d8 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Male Symbiont (Human) Cleric (Ancestral Priest) 5; HP 30/30; +0 Init; +7 Perception; AC 18 (Flat 18, Touch 10); Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +8
DM:
Soo... I'm going to assume Iron Sprocket "sleeps" in his Medium armor, but since he doesn't actually sleep he doesn't suffer the fatigued penalty for sleeping in heavier than light armor? I'll leave it up to you. Add fatigue penalties if required for these rolls. Assume I prepared the same spells as the last time I prepared. Iron Sprocket's memory crystal begins to glow as he says a small prayer. He then draws his morning star and attempts to intercept the path of the charging beast. Standard: Cast Shield of Faith (AC now 20). Move: Move between the beast and the less armoured party members and draw morningstar.
