By this point, Rez has folded his arms, trying to contain his nervous energy.
"That's a pretty heavy load to put on the half-dozen of us. Maybe we hold off, report back to Absalom, see what the First Seeker thinks? I don't know about you guys, but I'm not that comfortable signing off on being the catalyst of another planetary civil war."

Rez sees the drone drop, but keeps his arcaster to the hip, just in case. He walks over, and toes it with his boot, checking to make sure it's down. When he doesn't see any reaction, he tosses the safety on his sidearm and sets it to the mag-lock holster on his thigh, which snaps into place with the faint sound of metal on metal. "Huh... it listened. It stayed down."

Rez saunters over to the generator's console, and looks at the readout. By the time the ysoki can make out what the diagram is trying to convey, Pan already has an access panel off and is diagnosing the problem. Rez looks over Pan's shoulder, and nods. "Uhh, yeah! That's totally what I'd have done. Yup."

Probably should have just left it to him...

Rez reconnects a few wires, and grabs a can of conductive sealant from his toolkit to fill a gap in the connection, hopefully bridging it. "Alright... I think that'll... do it? Well, guess we won't know until we toss the proverbial switch and see if that's enough. Mind hitting the override there?"

"My thanks for this wonderful meal!" Rez takes the aroma of the meal in, then graciously accepts it by taking a heaping spoonful. You can see his eye twitch, and he looks around to his fellow crew-members to gauge their reaction (and whether or not they're experiencing a similar amount of regret).

After spitting the gelatinous globule out, Rez scratches through his chest rig in a hurry for the dark liquid vial that D'Vost handed him from before, downing the contents of it to hopefully wash the taste out of his mouth, only to find the taste of liquorice only mildly more appealing.

Rez hears the a certain word on the feed from the translator. "Husks?" he asks one of his crew-members who can speak the locals' language. "Usually that means "empty"... can you get them to clarify?" The thought of these locals' being soulless or something similar gives Rez the creeps.

Once he's gained his composure (ie. after regaining his stamina) Rez finds his way to the cleared out space. "I'm not much of a dancer, but..."

Rez leans against a nearby wall to catch his breath. "Nice... nice place you have here. A great... honour to be your guest."

Whenever there's a lull, Rez will attempt to rest for the requisite 10 minutes to restore stamina. If he's interrupted for whatever reason, he'll just keep up with the rest of the crew and attempt to do so at the next possible opportunity.

"Don't think these guys eat cat, but looks like they still use it for parts, D'vost."

Rez then slinks back, curious to see what transpires.

Rez clutches at a rather nasty bite wound, cursing the fact that he never replenished his emergency medical equipment before embarking on this sortie. He fumbles to holster his sidearm, then kicks the lifeless body of the laser-reflecting feline.

Rez normally wields a knife in his offhand (MGS3 CQC style!), but hasn't had a chance to draw it. I just remembered that drawing a weapon doesn't incur, so he'll have it going forward. But no AoO. :[

With the sandcat in his face, and unable to risk take another chomp while trying to aim his sidearm, Rez ducks down, draws his knife from his ankle holster, then slashes upwards at the beast. He's not going down without a fight.

Rez feels a sharp crunch, and sees the sand-cat licking its muzzle. C'mon, I can't taste that good, slag off, you no-good... what the hell are you, anyways?

Rez really doesn't know what this cat thing is, assuming it's a mundane local fauna. If it's a magical beast like he fears? That question will forever elude him, as the Mystical mysteries of the galaxy completely elude him (no ranks).

In any case, that ought to provoke an attack of opportunity, but when I was looking over my skills, I remembered that at 3rd level my trick attack bonus damage goes up to a d8, and my copy-paste combat macro had the old d4. Drive fast, take chances, right?

Rez checks the seals on his environmental suit, then brass checks his slug thrower and ensures the battery on his arc-caster reads 100%. "Sure, I'll take point. Stay behind me, and if I stop, keep your distance. Wouldn't want the whole squad getting taken out by a mine or something, right?" I mean, I have to roll a 1 for us to not regen the 7 SP a turn, so my course of action is just to replenish the shield quadrants that need it the most, and if we were took a critical and had a subsystem glitching, I'd look to repair it.

I'm good with running the new few turns as if we were being botted - just let the dice roller do it's thing, and that way everything is above board.

@GM Revvy: Arrows are concise, and totally make sense.

@D'vost: Doesn't hurt the flow of the game to make your intent known, as it happens around the tabletop, actions would just play out in Engineering/Helm/Gunnery phases. With that said, if you know that the result of a gunnery check is going to fail, then it makes no sense to maneuver as a pilot, or give boosts as a Captain or Engineer, so die rolls that are out of order definitely belong behind spoiler tags.

Rez ensures he's strapped into his chair, then slides a sliding button on his console straight to max. "Diverting power to main recce and scanning equipment – let's see what we're up against!"

Rez glances at the main viewscreen, trying to discern if anything's even out there. "That broadcast, it being cast from the planet, or are we getting pinged from something in orbit?" He looks over to the helm, and continues. "Can we scan for anything in the area? PDNs, drones, interceptors, even broadcast satellites?"

He scratches his chin, then makes a helpless gesture. "The other option is just to make full burn and make planetfall, but we don't know where to touch down. I think a scan's our best option."

Select a single weapon with "laser" in its title; +1 bonus to damage rolls with that weapon. A gunner can spend 1 RP to increase that bonus to +4 for one round.

Honorary Spider (Social Boon):
When slotting this boon, select Intimidate or Sense Motive. You gain a circumstance bonus to that skill check equal to your half your current Acquisitives Reputation Tier (rounding up). This bonus increases by +1 for each point of Infamy your character currently has.

For the Starship boon, I'd select the Aft gyrolaser for the Drake, and the forward light laser cannon for the Pegasus.
I'll select Sense Motive for the Social boon, and I'm only Tier 1.

He brushes off his hand, then raises it, hoping everyone in the room sees it. "I'm all for putting up a fight, but you have to know when to book it - my vote is for the Pegasus. It might not be as sturdy as the Drake, but it's faster, handles way better, and it still packs a punch with the coilgun turret."
