Without words, Razif immediately tries to cough the fog out of him.
As concern for Drael starts building up in Razif as well, when he sees Layaali move in, he follows suit.
Razif uses the short break to draw an arrow and set it alight with his powers. Hopefully, the fire will help somewhat. He's not optimistic, but he has to try.
"Exit first, regroup?" Razif shouts to the other escapees behind him.
Razif rushes further into the next room.
Razif rushes forward and keeps an eye out for any potential angry salamanders.
Razif keeps rushing forward. "I don't think we were warned about the evil killer fog!"
Razif continues his flight, .
Razif starts running, but makes sure to cover the spellcaster's backs.
Razif agrees immediately. "I can't imagine my flame arrows alone are gonna cut it, if they'll even do anything. Let's double back."
Razif leads the Gnoll text aloud. "'An offer is made to you, Thratnias, on behalf of the Carrion King. The House of the Beast offers strength. Come and hear.' Looks like the Carrion King tried to form an alliance."
Razif starts panting, both from the heat and pain. "Should we call for Lesaar? I'm sure she'll be happy to know the deed is done."
Once again, Razif strikes!
Razif lunges, trying to make use of the opening created by Kitil's being distracted.
Dancing around the spear, he tries to counter with his own weapon...
...but the attack sadly falls flat.
Razif joins at Layaali's other side, wielding his scimitar.
"You're correct there, we don't know. All we care about now is taking down the Carrion King, this threat to our homes. That said, it does sound quite interesting. Like Drael says, let's talk about it later... For now, we should finish this, before we melt." Razif says, sweating.
"Yeah, I'm good." Razif replies. "Let's get going."
Razif groans in pain and, realizing ranged combat is off the table for now, tosses his bow aside. He draws his scimitar in its stead and strikes.
"Sarenrae, if you're listening, I could use some guidance as well!" Razif mutters to himself as he takes aim himself.
Razif smirks at Yantuk's words. "Poetic as it sounds, I'm afraid we don't have that much time!"
Razif moves up and sets his arrows alight with a frown. Our weapons aren't doing much, and I'm not sure fire is even going to make a difference, but it's worth a try...
Razif follows and turns the corner.
Razif takes up a good position and attacks the salamander furthest north.
"Hey, where are you all-"
Razif moves behind the large pillar, drawing his bow, ready to jump out and shoot when the fighting begins.
"Truth be told, I'm not a fan of this development either, and I don't exactly trust Lesaar, but... I feel bad about Andgronakraks. And, of course, we need to press on." He stretches a bit and takes the opportunity to breathe as much fresh air as he can. "I'm ready to go back in, in any case."
Razif nods.
Razif sighs in frustration. "Andgronakraks, you have my apologies. This happened because you wanted to fulfill our request." He turns to Lesaar. "Let's not dance around the subject further. You've got a plan, don't you?"
Razif looks at Andgronakraks in shock. "Andgronakraks! What happened? Did Thratnias do this?"
Between strained breaths, Razif adds. "Initially, Andgronakraks was looking for you, but unsurprisingly he didn't find you at your quarters. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Razif whispers to the rest.
Razif looks at the salamanders and then whispers to the others. "These guys say we will not pass further into their home. Hence Andgronakraks is bringing Lesaar here instead of us to him. Looks like there might be more trouble getting through here than I expected..."
Razif, stunned at Layaali's confident words, realizes he's still extending the map and puts it back in his bag. He nods at Andgronakraks and says "You have our thanks" in Ignan.
Razif greets the creature. "We are friends... of a sort... of Beshvi. We've helped her out a little while ago, and she offered us this proof of the agreement she and your people settled a while back." He presents the map Beshvi gave them to him. "We're looking to get into the dominion of the Carrion King, and she informed us there might be a back entrance through your terrain. We seek to pass through."
"Careful everyone! The cyclone's probably going to move! Try to spread out!" Razif tries to shout over the wind. He tries one last attempt at dealing an attack before stepping back.
Razif desperately continues his assault.
In a desperate attempt, Razif tries to strike the ghost down before it can achieve this.
Razif rushes to Drael's support, also trying his hardest to turn the monster towards them.
"The Edimmu is bad news! I'll congratulate you later, but for now we need to take this thing down!"
Razif repositions himself a little, and attacks with his scimitar.
The surprise and his shaken state make this decidedly difficult, however.
Razif springs to action and enchants his scimitar with flame. He then calls to the others. "Edimmu's back! We need light in here, fast!"
"Looks like it, I had the same dream, anyway. Honestly, I'm not entirely surprised. The Rough Beast has had its fingerprints all over our enemies. And with every step, we get closer to his influence, his domain." Razif nods towards the others. "Let's camp. There's something to be said about speed, but I don't trust these lands to be safe when most of us can't see."
Razif'll take second watch, then.
Razif listens to Yantuk's story intently. "Sounds like you've had a rough time of it. We'll be happy to have you around! I'm Razif."
Seeing little other option, Razif tries again!
