Female Human Vespexer Sheet
Hey everyone. Apologies for my absence, but I assure you I didn't take it lightly. I'm starting to get caught up in my games this week, and hope to be back to regular posting by the start of next week. Hope all is well with you and yours. And thanks for your understanding.

Ray bangs her head on a nearby console, not really caring what that one does, and groans loudly. "Ugh... Whatever -- just stop talking." She grumbles some more, clearly hung over. "Just go..." She burps, groans some more, and settles in to take a nap. Or vomit. Hopefully nap.
Female Human Vespexer Sheet
Yes, it sure was! And thanks! I'm just popping in to let everyone know I'm here, but I'll be another day or two before I can post. Don't wait for me. I might buy something after the fact when I have the time to give it the thought it deserves. Ray's on a bender or something. Back soon!
Female Human Vespexer Sheet
Ray starts to sift through the rubble, slowly making her way to the crater her 'pals' had better not be dumb enough to be in. Finding no sign of them she eyes the crater. "Really?" She clambers down and starts sifting through the rubble, complaining all the time about the intelligence of her crewmates. Soon she's tired and dirty. Shifting some more rubble she grunts with effort. "Ugh! Stupid Byron! Stupid Daneel! You'd better be... Ugh! Alive when I find you... UGH! So I can punch you in your stupid faces!" Ray eventually gets to the crater and hopefully finds her pals without crushing them. Rolling if I need it, but I imagine I find them through time rather than through my totally keen perception...

Ray staggers out of the place, then looks around in confusion, a little dazed. Soon, she takes a head count. Where the heck were the others. ...When she eventually realizes Byron and Daneel are missing, she heads back inside and starts sifting through the rubble. "BYRON!?! DANEEL?! ARE YOU ALIVE?" Ray had no idea where they were and wouldn't have assumed they wouldn't make it out. When she realizes they didn't she'll head inside to find them. If someone else knows and tells her she'd go in sooner.

Ray flies off her feet, crashes to the ground with the rest of the crowd, and cracks her head. Releasing a string of expletives, Ray staggers back to her feet, shakes her head and tries to ignore the ringing in her ears. She looks around dazed, and heroically.... ...staggers toward the exit.

"So we're leaving, right?" Seeing Steph run toward the stands Ray cups her hands over her mouth and calls out louder. "SO WE'RE LEAVING, RIGHT?" "...#@&*." Ray sighs dramatically, stows her big gun, and hustles over to the stands to look for a bomb or... something. ...Whatever the heck the bomb looked like. Recon?: 2d6 + 0 + 0 ⇒ (2, 2) + 0 + 0 = 4
Female Human Vespexer Sheet
Deception: 2d6 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (4, 5) + 1 - 1 = 9 With her giant Sindalian boarding gun in hand, Ray rolls her eyes. "YES. FEMALE. ACCIDENT. I don't want to shoot you, pal, but I will if you attack. I'm a panicked female, after all." She resists the urge to groan loudly. Hearing Steph's gambit -- it was a gambit, wasn't it? -- Ray nods. "Yeah! The assassins hid a bomb under the stands. Didn't you hear? Don't you want to stop it and save your people?"
Female Human Vespexer Sheet
In fluent Trokh, Ray tells the Aslan, "Uh, really? We were stopping an assassin! You should go fight him." Seeing the still approaching Aslan, Ray aims her gun at them. "You should back down and we'll all get to go home. Do it for... honour and stuff. Yeah. That's it. An honourable Aslan wouldn't fight a bunch of innocent females over a misunderstanding." Sorry, was I allowed my big gun here? If so, she'll aim that one at them. Otherwise she's got her snub pistol still.

Ray crosses her arms and raises an eyebrow. She glances down the line at her companions, wondering which sucker would step in the ring for the pompous Aslan. Having nearly died last time she stood up for the guy, she wasn't about to do it again. What are the terms of this duel, again? Is it unarmed or melee? Or are guns allowed?
Female Human Vespexer Sheet
Ray taps her foot in boredom. Why did they have to go through all this pomp and circumstance to execute a guy? Weirdos. Suddenly she realizes they're waiting on her. "Uhhh..." Damn. "So... Hteleitoirl," she says loudly, purposely pronouncing his name properly for the first time. She switches to fluent Trokh. "He held himself with HONOR, even among barbarians like me. Acted for the good of his people and his CLAN." She emphasizes all the words she thinks these folks care about, hoping that helps cover that she's rambling with no real point. "Enforced order and fought BRAVELY. Saved lives. Spread word of your people and your TRADITIONS. Lots about that. Really... important... BRAVE! Definitely brave and... traditional. He valued your ways even when it obviously won't work out for him." Wrap it up before you make it worse... "I'm proud to know Hteleitoirl. Your clan-brother is brave, loyal, and values your ways. He's NOT wasteful. NOT foolish. That's bull - no offence. Don't know about the rest, but," she shrugs. "Killing Hteleitoirl is a waste. But, he's here anyway. You owe him respect for that, at least, even if you blame him for other stuff." Ray tries to recall a way to show respect to the chief, but comes up blank. She tries inclining her head in a crappy sort of bow. Better than nothing. That's right. Nailed it. Master diplomat right here.

Ray swaggers forward alongside the others, looking for all the world that she's proud and unafraid. When called on she smirks. "I'm Ray. Explorer, Suveryor, Scout, and all around bad-ass. I'm... persistent." Her smirk turns into a wide grin. "You won't like me very much."
Female Human Vespexer Sheet
Ray hobbles across the hall, taking cover with Steph around the corner from the remaining assassins. "Ugh... worst gig ever." She grunts a groans, trying to catch her breath and remain conscious. Loudly, she calls out, "This is your last chance to bugger off! Run and you live! Stick around and you eat lead -- and... lasers and junk. Whatever."
Female Human Vespexer Sheet
"GAH! MOTHER F*$#^&#! This is why being a pirate sucks!" She cusses some more, cursing everyone from the assassins' to Hteleitoirl, her fellow crewmates, the King, and even the fighter that made her lose that last bet... Deciding she'd rather die while causing someone else immense pain -- who shoots someone in the GUT? Honestly! -- she fires her gun at the jerk that shot her. Wait... Which one was that? Stupid psychos. Who wears matching clothes?! She fires her gun at the closest one she has a decent shot at. Gun Combat (slug) + DEX - reaction penalty: 2d6 + 1 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (3, 1) + 1 + 1 - 1 = 5 Then she hustles over behind Hteleitoirl and his grapple-buddy, using them both as cover from the gunmen. If she gets attacked at all she tries to dodge. GM (clarifying question, possible contingencies, etc): If Hteleitoirl is grappling that guy, can he attack Ray for moving as she moved? She tried to circle around with her movement, but she came within the 2 meters in one space on the way. If so, she instead would move... nowhere else good. How long of a drop is it from the upper to lower concourse? Far enough she'd accidentally kill her self if she hopped over the rail? Or manageable? If she can't go there, either, she'll fire her gun as noted and then crouch down behind that garbage can or whatever it is that she was sort of by. And then if she gets shot at she'll dive for cover behind the garbage can.

Oh, yeah, I definitely misunderstood the map. Thanks for the labels. That's super necessary. Yes, I realize dodge is a reaction, and yes, she wants to do it whenever she's attacked. Thanks for correcting. I thought I had to roll a dodge or something. lol. And yes, she just moves with all three actions. I can have a snub pistol even though I don't own one? I'll actually move back a bit then, where I positioned myself. I was going into melee because the only thing she had to fight with was her fists due to the gun laws here.
Female Human Vespexer Sheet
Ray dashes off down the concourse, across the bridge and steps between the Aslan and his attackers. She raises her fists. "Well? Come on then!" She's taking three minor actions to move. Dodge: Dodge (athletics, dexterity): 2d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4, 2) + 1 + 1 = 8 Did I roll this right? And for each extra I need to roll it's a -1? Like so?
Dodge (athletics, dexterity): 2d6 + 1 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (5, 3) + 1 + 1 - 2 = 8 Let me know if I'm wrong and need to make corrections.

Ray opens her mouth to translate for Jerry, but Steph beats her to it. "She's whining at him to be a lord or some sh$%, and now she's offering us food." Social + Diplomat: 2d6 - 1 - 3 + 4 ⇒ (5, 3) - 1 - 3 + 4 = 8 During the speeches, Ray adds in her own translations for Jerry that Steph misses –- being sure nothing good gets left out! Why does Steph always translate the boring junk?

"Fact," Ray remarks with a smirk.

"Whoa! I think you're right!" Ray tells the Aslan female. "Sorry to get your boys claws out. I'll beat my mate's @&& outside. Don't let them gut me on my way out." Ray hurries outside after Byron calling him names as she slaps him repeatedly on the back. "Oh, dang! And sorry about the mess!" she calls out over her shoulder to the Aslan. She then goes back to beating and cussing at her philandering mate.
Female Human Vespexer Sheet
Ray scoffs aloud at Byron. "Didn't mean anything to you? Didn't mean-- That's what you said about me! And Steph! And the chick with the purple skin! AND, AND, AND!" Ray picks up a nearby salt shaker and tosses it at Byron. "You *%#^!" She spits at him (literally). "Leave the aslan alone, you &*#$ed dog! You're scaring her! Must be your ugly face!"
