Sorry to hear that, Crellan, but totally understand.
I'll be out of town this weekend -- starting tomorrow, and until Monday.
Ravina steps forward, keeping close to the cleric, ready to slash out and try to distract her foes.
Ravin sighs, More of the same... Though I shouldn't be surprised, I guess. I really need a mace or something... At least I can do this... He steps next to Viviana, rapier in hand, and does his best to distract the skeleton.
Aid Another: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
The halfling steps back behind his burlier companions, "Looks safe. Well, the door does. Can't speak to what's behind it."
Ravin whispers the words to a well-rehersed cantrip, "I'll look for magic, while I'm at it."
Perception (take 20): 20 + 6 = 26
Ravin offers, "I'd say the door's worth exploring."
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Ravin nods, "Radvek is right -- this... wait..".. The halfling cocks his head for a moment, then nods to himself, Yup, that's the outline there..., continuing, "...there's a hidden door in the west wall...." He finishes by pointing, "There."
I really need to buy a club or mace or wand of disrupt undead or something...
Ravin whistles at Radavek's strikes, the contrast of his friend's skill in crushing the undead making the halfling's feel even more useless... "Nice," he says encouragingly.
Yay for the "going remarkably well" bit, at least. ;)
Will be out of town and away from Internet until Monday the 31.
Feel free to bot me, as needed.
Apologies for the short notice (I've only known for sure about 20 or 21 hours myself.)
Apologies. Was a phone post -- meant to call out a landing square.
Ravin shrugs, Maybe they're stupid enough to fall for this...., then jumps down the ladder, tumbling into a ball and whispering a cantrip as he springs back to his feet.... bringing the remembered sound of two half-drunk Ulfen arguing and threatening each other into the far corner of the room.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Casting Ghost Sound...
Ravin peers around, looking for a way to use his skills, then sighs, There's no brain in those skulls to irritate with my rapier-sharp wit, and no flesh to poke at with my wit-sharp rapier.... He debates jumping down, then shakes his head, ...and what would you be doing down there? Kicking bone dust in their eyes? He sighs again and slips the bow from his shoulder, Apparently the other halflings were right about their slings...., he chuckles, then carefully aims before releasing an arrow.
Shortbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 threat
Confirm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 Seems likely
Regular: 1d4 ⇒ 1 if crit, add: Plus Critical: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4
Ravin shakes his head, "Not at all... but if you come across any interesting stories, I want to see them."
Ravin looks somewhat bemused, "I don't suppose there's a manifesto explaining all the dark and evil things hidden in the prayer book?"
Ravin says, "Best explore this space to see if there's any sign as to what's going on -- and, for that matter, be absolutely sure about the door."
Ravin can't see the map and has no ranks in Survival. :)
Ravin chuckles again, "Unless you think it'd shrink in the wash, I'm not so fond of it."
Wow... Best wishes, Crellan.
Ravin says, "The weapons are too big for me, but might be helpful against other skeletons."
Ravin offers, "No news is good news?" as he follows to the next door.
Ravin suggests, "Can we put something heavy on the trapdoor and then check the side door? I don't like the idea of having things able to sneak up behind us. "
Aid: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Ravin nods, rapier in hand.
Ravin wonders aloud, "Did that mean this tomb has already been robbed? Or do we think it'd always been empty?"
Ravin renews the light spell on the pebble in his hand, ready to close his hand around it.. or throw the stone.. as needed.
Ravin says, "Probably a good idea if we actually want to save Juriendor rather than recover him."
Ravin says, "That will be most helpful, thank you. "
He looks to the others and then back to the catacombs balancing the end in his hand as if weighing it.
I can't taunt the mindless, so I get it.
Ravin nods, "That may be the wisest course of action."
Ravin shrugs at the comment, "Most cemeteries and catacombs are sanctified, I thought, which is supposed to prevent instead? Between last night's show and the lack of that magic here, I'm thinking zombies may be the least of our problems... ", then whispers a spell to try to bring his Varisian friend back to the land of the ambulatory.
Cure Light: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
I have one level 1 slot left
Did he get hit since the channel? I didn't think he did.
Ravin darts forward and slashes again, hoping his speed and small size keep the zombie's attention away from him.
Dagger: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 for 1d3 ⇒ 1
Having little else to do, Corpses are just too stupid to taunt.., Ravin steps forward and takes another swipe with his dagger, readying himself to step back out of harm's way if the talons start reaching toward him.
Dagger: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 Ooh! Threat!
Dagger: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 Nice. That might work.
Critical: 2d3 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2 Really need to get Arcane strike...
Ravin quickly casts another Cure Light Wounds spell, trying to keep Torrosk on his feet.
CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Ravin shrugs and whispers a spell, giving his hands a warm glow. He reaches foward and whispers, "Healing touch, Torrosk," before touching the paladin and discharging the spell.
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Ravin says, "Done, Torrosk.", and tumbles slashes the zombie with his dagger before diving into a tight roll and tumbling his way back into the hallway, standing next to the cleric.
Dagger: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 for 1d3 ⇒ 2
Acrobatics (Avoid AoO): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Ravin winces as Radavek falls, but smiles as healing energies wash over him, "I'm not the best at this slashy-killy stuff," he reminds the group as he lashes out with his dagger, Let's hope they don't cut me down as easily as they did Radavek...
Dagger: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 Confirm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 Looks good
2d3 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4
Ravin grumbles, "Stupid mindless undead, don't even know when they're being made fun of..", and quickly slashes out with his dagger at his newfound friend.
Dagger: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 for 1d3 ⇒ 1
Updated, following Radavek.
Ravin says, "Given the magic-trap, I'd guess this held something valuable... or this is one of those looks can be deceiving sort of places. I'd say we take the time to give it a thorough search."
Ravin quickly scans the room as he follows, then nods to Radavek.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Ravin chuckles, "Oh, you noticed that too? I thought it was just me."
Ravin mutters, "...better and better still..."
He looks up at the others, "Do we have any particular reason to choose one door over another, or shall I just flip a coin?"
Or that. Should have looked in here first. And it'd be 16 to start with - Ravin increased perception at level 2.
Perception (Aid Another): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Ravin says, dryly, "Our little rest stop just keeps on getting better... "
Fort: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 That's probably less than ideal.
Ravin steps up next to Torrosk with a shudder, "And here I thought goblins were ugly enough while they were still alive.", then slashes with his rapier, giving voice to his sudden thought, "These don't seem the kind of dead the townfolk would be burying, I'd think?"
Rapier: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 Threat
Confirm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 Enh, probably not.
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
