*swoon*
If only that handsome half-orc was a rodent - and a woman ...

Congratulations, Skallangbiorn, for reaching page 100!

*sniff sniff*
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
I'm a familiar, not a minion! And no, I can't.

Rat hides behind a bush and starts searching for that scary white owl.

Then he remembers he is now the size of a dog - and continues to watch out for the white owl, which suddenly seems a lot less scary.

The continued adventures of Rat the rat:
Rat embarks on his journey through the kobold warrens, towards where he believes those exits would be where the humans are placing their devices.

He snarls at every kobold that gets too close to him (or looks particularly hungry) along the way.

Survival (to find the right way): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Perception (to notice hungry kobolds): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Stealth (to not be seen by humans when stealing the devices they have placed): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

There are unions in witch-ruled Irrisen?

Quote:
The cave doesn't match what the journal described but its obvious someone or something is using it.

Speaking of which - how was the cave we are looking for described?

Oh, sure. Let the rat deal with the goblin ghosts - alone.

I have a better idea: why don't we send Sunfire scouting?

;)

Out of the bushes comes a hairy creature, the size of a dog.

"Whoa, don't shoot me! It's me: Rat. Remember?"

"Your friend Anabella said you would need somebody bigger to look after you. Whats in it for me is, I've got some matters to discuss with the cats of this world, and I'm sure they will appreciate my arguments more with my new size."

Level 5 familiar.

Finally I will be able to tell that self-centered drama-queen what I really think of her!

What happens in our bedroom stays in our bedroom.

Rat climbs out of Ana's coat pocket and scurries along the room's walls, looking for secret doors and people hidden behind curtains.

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

AOO: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Ana Concentration DC: 10 + 1 + 1 = 12
Ana Concentration roll: 1d20 + 4 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 5 = 21

Rat bites Ana while she is distracted, but in her anger she barely notices.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Sorry everyone for waking her up again.

Damage for last round: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Disease onset in days: 1d3 ⇒ 2

Attack of opportunity: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Attack of opportunity: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Rat tries to bite the crazy witch when she stands up - and again when she begins casting - but misses both times.

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Rat tries to bite Anastasiya,

Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

but misses.

What do I need to roll in order to stay on her body? My assumption is, while I'm still on her, I can AOO her whenever she casts a spell.

If animals have to make the save as well:
Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

Rat nimbly jumps out of the affected area.

You don't scare me, dragon! That scary white owl hasn't killed me yet, so you won't kill me either!

From a goblin's point of view, a reading party is much more dangerous than a raiding party.

But everything you say sounds like music to our ears.

I wouldn't. But I'm just a rat. Savol is a brave dragon-slayer. He wouldn't be afraid.

How about political marriage?
If Savol marries Baba Yaga, we might be able to avert this war.
She also seems to be quite fertile.

That's a good pic for Dagmar and Alfdis. :)

Pic of her familiar

Oh hey, I'm on that picture too.

You expect something else from the Queen B~&@* of the North?

Ice trolls maybe

No crossbow cheese for me,
my mistress spends all her time with that Ulfen bear nowadays,
and now you all want to replace me with somebody else.

*sob*
Nobody loves me :(((

Seriously, though: no problem.

Rat would choose Julian over a cat.

As Ana's trusted familiar, let me be the one to break the news to you:

she ordered both of you into her suite as a distraction - so that she could steal Sunfire and ride off into the sunset on her. She did also steal Thorvalds heirloom armor and weapons and traded them for a pair of shoes.

DM (Samuel's house):

Rat is excited. Ever since it started feeling Anastasiya's presence again a couple of hours ago, it's been watching the hallways for signs of her return.

When it hears the voice of its owner on the door, it scurries towards her, across the hallway, through between the legs of the guard, and out through the door.

Meanwhile, rat is still in Samuel's house, watching him, stealing food from his plate when he looks the other way, trying not to get caught by a cat.

I'm not sure how the empathic link between Ana and her familiar works: would the animal be able to understand the general emotional situation in Samuel's household and transmit that to Ana? Or can it only share its own animal emotions? (In other words: can Ana tell through her familiar how samuel feels/acts right now - or can she only sense whether her rat is currently chased by a cat?)

So far, Dagmar's owl hasn't eaten me either.
Even though it is a very scary owl, I think.
But it seems to be well fed and/or well trained by Dagmar.

Rat jumps from Anastasiya's shoulder into the water to swim beside her.
+2 to above perception roll for Alertness from the familiar, if I read the rules correctly.

When Anastasiya is about to fall asleep on her watch, her rat (which she named Rat) nibbles her finger to wake her.
