The continued adventures of Rat the rat: Rat embarks on his journey through the kobold warrens, towards where he believes those exits would be where the humans are placing their devices.
He snarls at every kobold that gets too close to him (or looks particularly hungry) along the way. Survival (to find the right way): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Out of the bushes comes a hairy creature, the size of a dog. "Whoa, don't shoot me! It's me: Rat. Remember?" "Your friend Anabella said you would need somebody bigger to look after you. Whats in it for me is, I've got some matters to discuss with the cats of this world, and I'm sure they will appreciate my arguments more with my new size."
Sorry everyone for waking her up again. Damage for last round: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Attack of opportunity: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 Attack of opportunity: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 Rat tries to bite the crazy witch when she stands up - and again when she begins casting - but misses both times.
DM (Samuel's house): Rat is excited. Ever since it started feeling Anastasiya's presence again a couple of hours ago, it's been watching the hallways for signs of her return. When it hears the voice of its owner on the door, it scurries towards her, across the hallway, through between the legs of the guard, and out through the door.
Meanwhile, rat is still in Samuel's house, watching him, stealing food from his plate when he looks the other way, trying not to get caught by a cat. I'm not sure how the empathic link between Ana and her familiar works: would the animal be able to understand the general emotional situation in Samuel's household and transmit that to Ana? Or can it only share its own animal emotions? (In other words: can Ana tell through her familiar how samuel feels/acts right now - or can she only sense whether her rat is currently chased by a cat?) |
