DM, here is a basic profile of my gnome flame oracle. I have not bought gear yet. I'll do that if chosen.

Any suggestions or comments are appreciated. Thanks for the consideration.

DM, I'll just use my roll from my last post for this round, if that is okay.

Rando will move to F9, and swing at #3...

Rando advances to assist his brother, swing at the foe Garret targeted.

Attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Damage 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 3) + 3 = 10

AOO

Attack 1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 4 = 17
Damage 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 6) + 3 = 15

Rando swings at the downed troll, if it is still moving. If not, he advances and swings at the closest troll.

Attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Damage 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 2) + 3 = 9

Rando swings his sword at the troll.

Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Damage 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (2, 6) + 2 = 10

Rando approaches the cavern, with his great sword in hand. He takes a position next to Torrin, ready to strike against the trolls if they react with violence.

"Let's get to it, then.. Rando pulls his sword, ready to power through the trolls.

"Theo, I don't think we will have to find the trolls. If we head up there near the caves, I bet they smell us and come running. With the layout, I don't see any way to separate them, so we'd better be prepared to fight them all at once.". With that being said, Rando pulls out his magical wand, and applies it to himself, adding to his magical protections.

Use one charge from Mage Armor wand.

"Let me see those wounds, Grendal. I think I can help a little," the paladin offers, knowing he needed the warrior to help against the remaining trolls.

Use two lay on hands ability on Grendal. That leaves two for the rest of the day.

Heal 2d6 ⇒ (5, 6) = 11

Rando observes Grendal's healing technique, while affixing his divine vision on the warrior.

Detect evil on Grendal. That'll determine how much assistance Rando offers the man.

Approaching the corpse, Rando pulls a torch. "I figure we should burn the remains to be safe."

Rando closes on the troll to say within 50', and dismounts from his horse. He wonders if the troll will still be standing after the back to back crushing blows it took from the lances of his brother and the Golem.

Rando urges his horse on, hoping to close as much distance as possible, knowing he'd have to dismount before reaching the troll. Unlike his brother,he was more comfortable fighting with both feet on the ground.

Run action for the horse this round.

"Ive got several torches and flasks of oil, so I'd supply everyone else, Keldar."

He turns to face Sir Garth. "Do you know where Feldar has gone looking for the troll? He'll need help as soon as we can get there."

"Keldan, do you have any extra torches lying around? If Theo says we need fire, we could use all you have, I'd guess."

"Let's go, then. After that troll eats its bacon, it'll probably be looking for something else..."

I knew I should have went troll hunting, Rando thinks to himself. "How close do you think the troll is? Was it following you? We have to deal with this threat now."

"Need more healing, Theo?"

Rando sidles up to his brother, and whispers in her ear. "Brother, do we need to send someone with them? Who knows what they might do to the two once they find them."

Rando stands by red-faced, wishing he could crawl into a hole, figuring he just made the day more complicated for his brother.

"Have you ever stood against a troll? Oops, I mean..." his voice trails off, as he realizes he has spoken too much, without permission of his brother. He, without noticing took a step backwards, expecting correction.

Low wisdom means too much talky sometimes, lol...

"Unfortunately, there is no time for eating. We've got places to go..."

While the others in the group continue the discussions, Rando focuses more closely n his brother, trying to look into his heart, determining the amount of blackness therein.

Detect Evil on Vors.

"Look closer brother...I'm not so little anymore. How did they get the blade? I'd hope you'd try to keep it safe."

"What did these fugitives do, brother? It must have been bad for this many to come looking for them?"

Rando nods, and falls in behind his brother and Golem heading toward the door.

Rando stood silent, gving his brother his due respect to answer the query, but he knew the best way to handle his older brother, Stand up to the bully!"

"Garrett, I don't think I trust Vors' behavior around you. I'd prefer to make sure you are safe, then after we send him off, we can go troll hunting."

"As I told the lady, Atayos...help from Iomedae will be given to any who ask for it. One or one hundred."

Ride 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 4 = 18

Im done harassing them, lol. Let's go...

"Remember ma'am, Iomedae's blessings are always here for those who ask," he says the paladin, clearly wishing he could do more.

"That's your right. But, I'd like to hear that from her before I go."

Rando looks closer at the lady, and notices her blacked eye. "You alright, my lady? I can see your eye is hurt. I can help that, if its okay with you." He carefully starts to get off his horse, so as to not spook the two.

Rando pulls up short behind Torrin, as he got to the duo first. He knew enough to not encroach and frighten them any further, so he simply held his position and let Torrin do the questioning.

I think he means to edit your title, like in this post. Put the information in the race/class line in your profile.

That's fine, DM. Made changes and got my horsey...

I'm not looking for a warhorse, just something to get me from here to there

That's why I asked if it was ok. I don't know how to approach that from the standpoint of what is ours, so to speak.

LOL, I will, assuming I can find a horse! Or I could trot along behind, even more dutifully...

While the others were preparing, Rando came sprinting out of the main area of the keep, carrying his massive sword, with a few other items being grabbed willy nilly, as he was trying to strap them to his person. "Hey Uncle, morning Theo...you two coming along? Sounds like there's trouble out at the Cerwen's."

I didn't save enough cash to afford a horse. Does Father have one I could borrow for the trip? If not, I can easily make some quick accounting adjustments, for the 100 gold roughly that I'd need.

Rando listened intently to the description of the situation. "I'll collect the guardsman and grab my stuff. I'll be ready in ten minutes," he says over his shoulder as he is already in motion. He quickly shouts to the nearest six, advising them to prepare quickly for a ride, then running by his quarters, collecting his items necessary to protect his family's people.

"Young Stirling...what's the hurry this morning?"

"You know I don't get home much...It'd be nice to do something with the family. And friends of course," he adds, nodding to Golem.

Doh! I had looked over dad's first name, so to speak. I adjusted my post. Thanks, Garrett...

Just so you know Torrin, the main gameplay thread is up now.

Having recently arrived back at the keep and taking a short break from his studies at the temple of Iomadae, Rando was relaxed. He leisurely awoke and stretched, rising at a decent hour, bathing, and heading outside to see what was transpiring this morning.

He was dressed in usual basic traveling clothes, displaying his large silver holy symbol. He admired the well crafted armor that they sported. He'd tried the heavy armor before, but it hadn't seemed right. As he exited the keep and saw the gathering, he hurried up his gait. "Morning everyone...father, brother, and you too Golem, he said not being able to keep the smile out of his voice. He actually likes that name Rando reminds himself with a shake of the head. "Looks to be a pretty day. What's everyone's plans? Getting a ride in?"

Sorry for the slow post. Hadn't noticed the game thread was up!

I'll move Rando down in age as well. I'll make my hopefully final additions tomorrow. I'll be using a lot of Garrett's history as my basis, as I was farmed out to the church, and quite enjoyed it.

And traits as well. After that, and just memorializing my background, my sheet will be through.

Posting to get my dot.

If Talomyr is cool with the story, I might be a younger sibling of his. As I stated earlier, I can see Rando being completely uninterested in the machinations of the line of succession. He would have been much more interested in the teachings of Iomedae, rather than the ins and outs of which brother is the rightful heir.

With that being said, Rando would have recognized the part of his family that is good, and would definitely support them. The brother following Gorum would be the 'black sheep' in the family to him. I'd also suspect the bully older brother made things pretty tough on Rando way back when, so he wouldn't be adverse to standing up to him now, if the story played out that way.
