Rajni's page

Rajni goes to the living room and sits down on the couch with a book.

She nods and calls after her sister, "I think I asked her earlier, I just wanted to let you guys know."

Rajni nods and gives her sister a little smile, "Yeah, he is."

Rajni kind of shrugs, "I'm okay, Toni said she needed a nap before dinner and I was just gonna relax for a bit before dinner. Oh...yeah, Dillon was coming over to have dinner with us tonight. Did I mention that already today?" She asks, seemingly a little distracted and unsure of if she had said anything to anyone about him coming over besides her mama and Toni.

Pausing for a moment she adds, "Well, he asked if he could come by after work and I just sort of invited him to have dinner with us. I hope that's okay?" She hoped that her sister was feeling up to having company, but if she wasn't, she would just let Dillon know that she wasn't feeling well and go with him to have dinner somewhere before going back home.

Rajni looks up at her sister, "Nah, it's just me. Do you need me to find her, or get you something Sis?"

So, I totally forgot that Rajni had taken a bath earlier that day, but we'll just say she's had a lot on her mind. Lol

After putting the cards away, Rajni decides to take a shower and get changed into something clean for dinner. Dillon was coming over for dinner and she didn't want to be all smelly or anything.

Taking a clean top and breeches into the bathroom, Rajni sets them on the little chair before turning the water on in the tub. Her thoughts start to wander as she gets the water to the right temperature, and starts to fill the tub.

For reasons that she can't explain, Rajni starts feeling emotional again as she's washing up in the tub. There was a lot of things going on, and she was starting to feel a little overwhelmed. So many good and happy things had happened to her since coming to Valwick, so she couldn't understand where these feelings were coming from.

Rinsing out the washcloth she uses it to wash her face while taking deep breaths. She didn't want to start crying, she refused to.

Once she feels more in control of herself, she hurries to finish up in the bath in case anyone else wanted to use it. After about fifteen to twenty minutes in the bathroom, Rajni comes out in fresh clothes and puts the dirty ones in a basket in her room. That's something else she would have to learn to do.

Sighing slightly, she returns downstairs.

Nodding she takes the cards from Toni and puts them in the box, "Okay, see you later." She says, before putting the cards away and getting cleaned up for dinner.

"Let's go with something easy going. I'm not very good with strategy." Rajni replies.

Rajni returns a couple minutes later with the cards in her hands, "I just got these a couple days ago. I never really had anything like this before, so I haven't had much practice playing anything. Do you know any games?"

Rajni gives her a nod and enters, "I'll be right back." Turning, she runs up the stairs to her room to get the playing cards.

Nodding she gets up and puts her heavy hooded cloak back on, "Yeah, let's go." Rajni waves to Hadrinn as they head out of the restaurant. She holds the door for Toni and follows her out.

Rajni's a little quiet on their way back to the house, a multitude of things occupying her mind.

Rajni finishes her meal and cider as well. She lets out a little satisfied sigh, "I'm not sure, there's really not much to do in this town. We could go for a walk, or just head back to the house. I have some cards at the house. We could play a game or something? What would you like to do? This is your last day here for a while afterall. Is there anything you would like to do?"

Rajni finishes the bite in her mouth and takes another drink of her cider before giving Toni a smile, "I'm not really that hard to find ya know? I'm either at home, at Dillon's, or at Halfpocket's. Besides, I wouldn't go running off the night before you're supposed to leave. I'm glad we at least get to spend a little time together before you have to go. This food really is good."

Rajni shakes her head, "No...I don't think we had plans to spend tonight together. We ummm....we were together, last night." Rajni takes a few more sips of her hot cider to try and hide the obvious blush on her face, "After breakfast he said something about stopping by the house after work to check on me, so I invited him to stay for dinner. I...I thought it would be better if I was at home tonight, and I don't have to spend every night with him....yet." She says with a slight smirk as she enjoys some more of the succulent goose, taking bites of the vegetables inbetween. She shovels food in at an amazing rate for someone of her size.

Rajni nearly salivates at the smells coming from the pile of delicious looking food that Hadrinn sets in front of her, "Yeah...thank you." Rajni takes a tasting sip of her cider before digging into her food.

She nods, "Yeah, you've been dealing with a lot of crap lately. You totally deserve a chance to just kick back and relax. I know I have a lot of stuff going on right now, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna miss you. You're a really good friend, fun to hang with, and easy to talk to. No one can say for certain what tomorrow might hold, so I will just wish you the best and pray for your safe return." Rajni says with a smile as she looks at her friend.

Rajni wills herself to relax and gives Hadrinn a smile, "I'll just have some hot cider for now, thanks."

Looking over at Toni she gives her a smirk, "I better make sure I stay sober in case I have to help you home." She laughs a little nervously before adding, "It's totally fine, I just never really liked that stuff anyways. Was there anyone else you needed to talk to today?" She didn't want Toni thinking she minded her drinking in front of her. She always thought that stuff was gross, but she had plenty of friends who liked it and since Toni was always putting everyone else first, she deserved a chance to kick back and relax.

Nodding she says, "I guess people get excited about having something different sometimes. If you have any left, I'd like to try it too."

Rajni looks up and gives him a smile, "It's okay, I'm glad that business is going so well. So, what do you have today? It must be reallyh good to attract this kindx of attention."

Giving Hadrinn a nod, Rajni picks a smaller table near the fireplace. Sitting down at the table she gives Toni a nod, "That's good, so...I wonder what he's made today. He always seems to come up with the most delicious dishes."

She nods, "I still need to learn how to cook, at least basic stuff, but...Dillon says he's not marrying me for my cooking skills. For now I'm okay with eating out or at mama's. You hot plenty of rations and stuff in case no one cooks right?" She asks as they head to the restaurant.

Rajni nods as they leave the house, "Yeah, there are lots of good cooks in this town, but he just does the most amazing things with food."

Rajni puts on her boots and goes to the door, "So, where do ya wanna go to eat?"

Nodding she goes to grab her boots, "Yeah, I just need to put my boots on and I'll be ready to go."

Rajni dunks herself beneath the water as she tries to regain some semblance of control. Coming up for air, she doused her face with cold water a few times to try and hide thed redness of her eyes before quickly finishing up and getting out of the tub.

Closing her eyes, she takes a few deep breaths and lets them out slowly as she shoves down her feelings. Getting dressed, she dries her hair as much as possible before leaving it loose around her shoulders. She hadn't realized how long it had gotten, going well past her shoulder blades. Using a comb to sweep back her bangs, she leaves the rest loose.

Once dressed, she heads back down to the kitchen.

Rajni steps closer to her sister and wraps her arms around Elena, "I love you so much, and I'll probably never stop worrying about the ones I care so deeply for....but, I'll do my best not to overdo it okay? I just...I want everyone to be safe...and happy." Rajni holds onto Elena gently, but keeps her close. She was afraid that if she let go of her sister too soon, that she wouldn't be able to hold back everything she was feeling.

Rajni takes a few deep breaths to try and steady herself before pulling back from her sister, "I...I should probably get cleaned up from working and everything. Dillon will be coming over later and I don't wanna be all stinky." Rajni retreats from the room, having seen Jin and the others, she knew that Toni would be leaving soon and she didn't know how long she could hide her feelings from her family. They just had a way of getting stuff out of her.

Rajni gathers up some clean clothes and heads to the bathroom to get cleaned up, and calm her nerves while Toni talks to the others. If she hurried, she could take a quick bath and be ready in time to go eat with Toni before she had to leave. As she runs the water in the tub, she washes her face in the sink and tries to keep from crying. She didn't really know what it was she was feeling or why, but she couldn't seem to help it. Rajni muffles the sound coming from her with a washcloth as shed gets in the tub. The warm water is soothing as she concentrates on quickly cleaning herself up.

Sorry that got so long, I still don't know how to convey some things very well.

Rajni nods, "I'm glad to see you looking a little better. I'm sorry if it seems like I worry too much sometimes."

Rajni sighs and gives Toni a nod as she heads to her room. Not wanting to worry her sister at the moment, Rajni tries to keep her feelings off of her face.

Returning her sister's smile, Rajni gives her a gentle hug. "I'm okay, how about you? How are you feeling today?"

As they reach the tailor shop, Rajni hesitates before going inside. Putting a hand on Toni's arm she says, "You're my best friend, of course I'm more comfortable talking to you about some stuff. You and Dillon....you're like the only two people who really understand me and can help me make sense of stuff when it's rattling around in my head. Sometimes...I don't even realize how much something is bothering me till I start talking about it with you. I....I'm really going to miss you while you're gone....and that's not me trying to make you feel guilty, that's just how I feel. You're my friend, and I'm going to support you no matter what....but, I just can't help how I feel sometimes. Especially when it concerns someone I care so much about."

Taking her hand off of her arm, Rajni gives her hug as she tries desperately to keep her emotions in check, "Just be careful okay?" Taking a breath, Rajni lets go of her friend and tries to quickly wipe her eyes before stepping back a bit, "We better get this stuff inside so we can go eat huh?"

She nods, "Yeah, and I guess it's easier for me to talk about it with you, cuz I know you won't call me crazy or anything..and, well....because you're my friend. Anyways, it's easy for me to talk to you, like it's easy to talk to Dillon."

Rajni kind of shrugs, "It's okay, I'm notg sured why I brought all of it up. I guess...part of me is still upset that they were totally fine with Elena running off andc getting married after only knowing Kama for a couple of days, but after knowing Dillion for a couple ofc weeks, I'm crazyh for wanting to marry him? Dillon told me that maybed they weren't as okay with Elena's sudden plans as they seemed to be, and that they were just transferring their feelings to me....but it still hurt." She kind of sighs, "Mama told me she was sorry though, sdo I guess I should just let it go. I don't know....I'm sorry Toni, I don't know why all of this is coming out of me right now. I shouldn't be ruining our time together with all this whining."

Rajni blushes as she shrugs slightly, "I just...I can't explain it really...but I just love him. I know we haven't known each other long...and while things are a bit fuzzy about the night we met...I felt something in here." She says, putting a hand against her chest, "A little funny in my stomach too, but not in a bad way. I don't think I'm crazy for loving someone, or wanting to spend my life with him. He's just about all I think about Toni." Sighing she looks at the ground, "A few weeks feel like forever right now."

"You wanna get something to eat somewhere after we drop that off at the house? Dillon was gonna have dinner with us later, but it's been a while since breakfast and I think I could use a little something too. I'm trying to give mama time to get used to me and Dillon being together....but, it's hard to wait sometimes. It's...it's getting harder and harder to leave him." She says, unable to keep her thoughts to herself. A small smile forms on her lips as she thinks about him.

"Is there anything else you need to get ready for your trip? Is there anything else I can do to help?" She asks, wanting to be as supportive as possible. She knew these last couple of weeks had not been easy on her friend and she wanted her to know that she was there for her.

She looks over at Micheal, "Thanks for this Michael." Looking back at Toni she says, "Well, I guess now we just need to pick up some stuff for you to use. Do you know what kind of bow you would like to use?"

Rajni blinks a couple of times, "Wow...well, that was kind of weird...but not bad really. Here you go Toni." She says, holding out the orb to her friend.

Carefully taking the orb from him, Rajni nods, "Yeah, I'm ready."

Rajni holds out her hands for the orb, "So, you just need me to hold it and that will help Toni?"

Getting a slightly worried expression on her face she asks, "But..that doesn't mean I'll stop being a ranger right? I'll still be able to hunt for the town and stuff right?"

Rajni looks between Toni and Michael, wondering what they were both thinking. Looking up at Michael she asks, "What process?"

As they wait for Michael, Rajni looks over at Toni, "So, you think Michael will have something that will make it easier for you to get used to a different weapon?"

She just nods, "Ohhhh...okay. I just didn't know you already talked to him."

Rajni looks at Toni, "I wonder how he knew we were coming...that's kind of odd isn't it?"

Rajni walks with Toni to the magic school.

Rajni chuckles slightly before looking back at Toni, "I'm all for going to whoever can help you figure this out so you stay as safe as possible."

Rajni nods, "Sure, maybe he might have some ideas."

Rajni looks at Kjell before looking back at Toni, "I'm not sure what all Kjell carries, or what he has that might help you learn to use one faster, but...I will teach you everything I know if it will help."

Rajni puts a hand on her arm, "Crossbows are just another type of projectile weapon, and have a similar trigger mechanism. I can help out with some stuff, if it will mean keeping you as safe as possible. Do you think you could adapt to using a crossbow?" She looks down for a moment as she thinks, "If you're really more comfortable using these gun things, maybe we could go speak with Arista? I'm sure that she would be okay with helping out and between me and her I'm sure we could get you what you need. Sooo...what do you want to do?" She says, trying to give Toni options so that her friend doesn't feel like she has to "settle" on something if she's not comfortable using it.

Rajni's mouth falls open, "Daaaammmnnnn...."
