Raina looks down on the poor mongrelman with a compassionate expression.
"Pain is growth? Who would have a philosophy like that?"
Raina moves over to Pontia and covers the wound with her hand. "The light heal and restore your health."
Looking into Pontia's eyes she asks: "Feel better?"
Whoa ho! I noticed the gameplay thread coming alive again so I will get a post in the morning. Stuff happening right now.
Status update: she successfully had angioplasty and a stint put in. They checked for a stroke and found no signs of such. She sleeps for the most part, though she is not recognizing anyone and is not very coherent. The surgery being a success was most welcome, though there is still more yet to come. We still have to see if her body rejects or accepts said stint, which will come with time. That's about it for now.
My mother-in-law is in the hospital after having suffered a heart attack. I do not know when I will be available to post. I will post updates at varying intervals.
Raina immediately rushes into the room to find Kryax bleeding greatly. Moving to him, she puts her hands on the wound. "Stars mend and heal you. Nature's power restore your health."
Seriously, I have practically no combat skill or weapons that would do enough damage in a short period of time. Zhu, Pontia, or Mirandix, you most likely have more than I do at your disposal.
"You seem intent on one of us fighting you. I see no honor in combat when death is the reward. You seem to be troubled by something. What is it?" she asks the goblin.
"I have little in the way of training and experience with the martial ways." she says to the goblin. "I fear I would not be the worthy opponent you seek." Raina says without guile.
Busy times on my side too. I haven't been online much, and when I have been, it was with little energy to dedicate to the game. I know that feeling. I have to have enough energy to be able to get in the mindset needed to play.
With the door slammed shut, Raina knows she is not the one to try to force it open. She is not strong enough. Looking around, she attempts to find anything that may help in assisting those inside.
As Monday, September 1st is Labor Day (U.S Holiday), I will be generally unavailable until Tuesday the 2nd. The weekends are normally busy for me, so my posting rate is sporadic if I post anything at all. Just a heads up.
Raina shifts her position so she is able to see what is happening in the room. Upon seeing what is inside the room her eyes go wide with horror of the scene. She steps away so she is no longer in sight of the foul creature and the even more foul means being used in such a manner. "Regardless of the creature such acts are performed on, that mindset is evil. I will not partake of it." She says while visibly shaking in anger.
"Don't worry, I am keeping watch on Arma's health. Should she need help I will channel nature's power into her wounds." Raina then follows the party into the passageway while staying alert.
"So what do we do to get this door open? If we can use the solution with no harm to us, let us do so immediately. A woman's life hangs in the balance." Raina says with urgency.
Pretty much the same for me! I'll be away Thursday through Sunday for Gen Con. Like Kyrax, I hope to be able to visit the thread once per day, but any posting will be from my phone and thus brief. I've never been to an event such as Gen Con before. I have wanted to go, but have not had the opportunity present itself. One day it shall.
Reaching up and touching Arma's face with her right hand Raina whispers softly to her. Arma:
"So much pain. You poor girl. If you feel you can make it I will wait. I will keep watch should you require assistance." Raina smiles at her and returns to the group.
Raina leaves the carvings on the door to those with experience in such matters. She moves over to Arma and speaks to her. Whispers for Arma: "Do you need healing? With but a few words I can mend your wounds"
Raina looks sharply at Pontia when she hears the venom in her voice. She remains silent for now and follows the party to the wizard door that was mentioned.
"She fears for her children. Let us move from here immediately. We can get our information as we go." Looking back at the goblin. "Sound fair to you?" Raina puts her dagger away now.
Raina steps forward to help Arma up. She addresses the goblin while holding her dagger in a non-threatening manner. "Fear not, your babies are safe here."

Raina moves to the middle of the group while moving into a defensive posture. Raina examines the tracks to learn who has been coming this way. "It looks as though a goblin and someone human-like came this way. Less than an hour I'd say. As for the older tracks, I'd say it was the Red Debbuls. They probably left about a day ago, give or take a couple hours."
Raina draws her dagger and casts light on it. "Better to have more than one source of light, hmm?" "I think we should go in, albeit cautiously. No need to rush into things"
Level update. Oracle 2
New cantrip: detect magic
Gameplay post incoming. Had a massive headache most of the day. Took some more meds (ugh, too many already) and hopefully it will allow me to rest in peace. I need some unbroken sleep for a change.
That makes two of us. Raina has the light cantrip as well. I should have my 2nd level posted tonight.
I am under the weather right now. Posting will be minimal to non-existent while I recover. I'll try to do at least 1 post a day. I hate being sick. :(
I'll post my level sometime today or tomorrow.
Raina follows the group as they make their way to their destination. She is silent, though the only thing noticeable is the tears that glisten on her cheeks.
Kyrax swallows hard looking at the two men. Your call fellows. Take one for the team? "That depends on what she has you do. I don't want to know everything that can be.....achieved in such an event. And with her it will be an event."
"I agree. Leave my destiny alone please."
Just make sure your boss doesn't catch you, hm? ;) Considering that I need my credentials to do anything it's not a big deal. I work in IT for some local hospitals so my admin login is essential. I cannot do about 95% of the work I normally would. -Posted with Wayfinder
Sorry I haven't been posting much. The weekend is my time to get major errands done and I had a lot to do. Things have been slow for me at work so I will use that time to get up to speed.

My birthday is tomorrow. I am enjoying the recent good turn my life has taken, so I will take that as my present. As in, a well-paying job. :)
"My stars are precious to me, yes. You obviously don't care about them. Just give me what you intend and let me be on my way." she sniffs slightly as she speaks.

As for the ride, thank you. If it is all the same I would like to walk for now. If we have a pressing need I would consider doing so then." "As for the "hippies", that is a reference to people like me who prefer to live in the wild versus the city. Gnomes are just a smaller race, around the same height as goblins are. Much like halflings if you know what they are." She turns her attention to the ground around her. "Those tracks look intriguing. Let's see where they lead, shall we?"
"I do believe you're right." she says to Mirandix. Raina does a cursory check where the mushrooms grow to see if any of them remain. If so, she begins harvesting some, about ten of them. Once finished, she looks at Kyrax. "Oh! You asked me how I could help. I focus on things I like to do when I am stressed." she says with a gesture to the mushrooms. "I am skilled in wilderness survival, and have experience in the ways of both natural and fey healing. Some call it divine, but I see it as from nature. I am guided by the stars when I can see them. They light my way, and give me the means to live in the wilds. I also have skill in dealing with people. It has been most useful with some people, although not all." she says with a glance towards the direction of the sheriff.
Raina stops when she hears the voice call out to her. She turns to the armored figure. "Thank you. I just had to get away from that man. That attitude makes me so mad. Especially when I do all I can to help everyone regardless of race or station." she says. "Your group seems to be searching for something. What is it you look for? And may I be of help?" she asks inquisitively.
Raina gives a brief but cold look at the man before giving a half nod of her head. "I'll leave, but don't ever threaten me again. Your badge doesn't give you more than you are, which is but a bigoted fool who deserves this pit you call a town." Raina turns and walks away at a fast clip. She does not look back until out of sight of the wretched place.
"I am Raina, his niece." she replies. "What sort of information are you looking for?"
