Sure, I went for “a cage the size of” but than wrong reworded because the small one could in fact contain a medium creature being 5.7x5.7x5.7

I can accept your explanation, but then why don’t say: “Target cube of stone with 10 feets edge or smaller”? My idea is that 1000 cubic feet is not the volume they had in mind.

I agree that the game is about simplicity, but the difference between 1000 and 192 is way large that the difference between 100 and 78.5 and 350 and 314.2.

With the first interpretation I could create a cage around a large creature, while with the second I cannot exceed the measures of a medium creature.

If you says that the screen of your TV is 50 inches across we are referring to the diagonal of your screen, if you think different your are wrong.

How big is this cube?

Someone says that 10 feet across means with 10 feets side, so the volume is 10x10x10, 1000 feet cubic.

But my interpretation is that 10 feet across means that 10 feets is the diagonal of two opposite corners of the cube and so the volume is 192.45 feet cubic as per below calculation:

What do you think is the correct interpretation?

Also, in light of the errata touching on staves, I'm presuming her max castings of True Strike per day has reduced somewhat?

What this errata says?

Thank you.

Streetwise makes you great at Gather Information, which I reckon will come in handy during Age of Ashes.

Both are fine choices for your Level 16 Skill Feat

At level 16 doesn’t come in play too late in the progression, both of character and of AoA, to prove itself useful?

With so few skills that will increase from training the other pick that could take advantage of your skill selection is the Courtly Grace - Connections chain

Other characters are a warpriest with no channeling and a fighter with sky high AC.

Thank you but yes, the wizard side is set as well as the stats.

What I’m looking for is the “best” advancement to pair with a 20 level wizard for a gestalt build, enhancing the possibility of my character in a deadly dungeon delving campaign as Tone of Horrors/Rappan Athuk

Qw3rty

I’m wondering if there is a way to have divine spellcasting on Intelligence.

Hi All,

I’d like to have your recommendations for a gestalt build.

Main class is a Diviner Wizard, and my first thought was to pair it with a base unchained rogue for additional skill point, free Finesse Training and Sneak Attack, even if I’d like to avoid to be engaged in melee.

Some additional information:

Wizard stats are 7,18,12,20,11,7, actually first level, the plan is to go up to the 20th in a Tomb of Horrors/Rappan Athuk adventure.

We are using the Unchained Action Economy and fractional BAB and saves. No hybrid classes are allowed for the gestalt if they share a base class with the other side.

Until now I received a lot of useful recommendation, what I liked the most are the Alchemist (Mindchemist/Internal Alchemist or Metamorph) and the Investigator (Empiricist).

Do you have any other suggestion for a better second class?

Thank you.

Update: fractional BAB and saves and no hybrid classes if they share a base class with the other gestalt side.

Qw3rty

Would you then suggest a Mindchemist over a vanilla Alchemist?

Qw3rty

As said we’ll probably move to gestalt given the lack of players and so what I’m seeking in the gestalt path is how to enhance the power of my wizard and not how to cover multiple roles.

Qw3rty

1st level actually, the plan is to go up to the 20th.

Qw3rty

Actually the PC is only an elf diviner wizard with ability 7,18,12,20,11,7 but due to the lack of players it could became a gestalt.

Adventure is a dungeon crawling kind of Tomb of Horrors/Rappan Athuk.

The idea was to have a battlefield controller wizard.

I’m planning to take Improved Initiative via a +1 Training Weapon and the Craft Wondrous Item as 3rd or 5th feat given the expected downtime available.

Make sure you have a means of running away, always - don't let yourself get encumbered with that 7 Str. You might even get the fleet-footed or long-limbed alt racial traits, a wizard can't really spare a spell for escape at first level.

For feats planning ahead too far is a waste of time. What do you plan to specialise in though - blasting, battlefield control, summoning, debuffs or what?

The plan is to specialize in battlefield control or eventually summoning and conjuring.

Hi Board,

I’ll join soon a Rappan Athuk game.

We’ll start at level 1 and party will be of 4 characters.

As 1st character I decided to do play an elf Diviner Wizard, opposition schools Ench/Necro, abilities 7/18/12/20/11/7.

Could you present to me any interesting and valid build, given the deadly adventure we are going to face.

Thank you.
