Pyros is no great tracker.
"Rest is not a bad idea" says Pyros, still sowing evidence of some significant cuts and bruises.
Pyros swings harder, trying to put this monstrosity down in a hurry.
Pyros reels, before Ilse heals him. He nods his thanks and then launches back into the fray, albeit with somewhat more caution this time.
Pyros charges forward and slashes at the giant creature.
"Huh? What?" Pyros asks, bolting awake. His sword is in his hand before his eyes are open. He sleeps in his chain shirt (because you never know), so he's basically good to go after he puts his boots on.
I'm hanging around, but so y'all know I recently started a new job, 2 on/2 off 12 hour night shifts, so my schedule is kind of a mess right now. Just realized a couple of hours ago that I hadn't looked at Paizo in several days. I'll get used to it at some point.
"I can take any watch needed."
"I'll leave the experts to it." Pyros says.
"I don't see why we would refuse another traveling companion. Sarenrae is a noble and honorable goddess. A follower of hers is good to have around."
"As she said." Pyros says, with a nod to Dax. "I am Pyros, of the Aldori. Lady Jamandi did send us. Do you know her?"
"Regular fare is fine by me. I'm not that picky."
"Pyros, of the Aldori." Pyros says with a nod.
Pyros nods and heads for the inn as well.
Pyros is just reaching into his pouch for a gold when Cassia beats him to the punch. He nods at her, and crosses with the first group, then, once everyone is together again, heads for the inn.
Geez, y'all are moving quick! (also, had to work thursday & friday night. Catching up now.)
Pyros hands his reins to another in the group and dismounts before approaching the man, cautiously. "Hello there. What is the fee for passage?"
"Hardy folk if they live out here, that's for sure. We should ask if they've seen anything unusual from centaurs. Assuming they care to talk, that is." Pyros adds, hoping that they won't be of a more disagreeable temperment.
"Yes, trying to catch centaurs is never easy, and who knows if they might be trying to lead us into some trap? Let's continue on this way."
They all seem like they'd fill the role, though Dax should probably have some say re: background coordination if we were leaning toward the other Medvyed. The dwarf druid seems like the most interesting just in terms of being an unusual build. Otoh, I wouldn't mind seeing an Oradin in action, seen the build in theory a few times, but never been in a party with one.
"That reminds me..." Pyros says, before digging his sling and bullets out of his pockets and securing them in an easy-to-reach area. "Just in case I need those later."
"I'm ready to get out of Bad Dreams Land, that's for sure."
"Yes, let's not push too hard."
"Yes, I remember that as well, Raok. Not good." Pyros says, with a furrowed brow.
"I've only got a human's nightvision, but I'll cover whatever shift is left."
"That's...strange. They weren't all so badly wounded, some should've been able to be saved. Nothing we can do for them now, though. let's salvage any useful gear we can and move on." Pyros says, before searching the body of one that he'd killed.
"Well." Pyros says after Raok's revelation. "That's...unsettling."
Pyros tries to recall whether or not he's ever seen the symbol before.
+1 BAB, +1 Fort, 9 HP (assuming average, someone tell me if I should be rolling), Combat Feat-Dodge, +1 to the following skills: Acrobatics, Diplomacy, Intimidate, Knowledge Local, Perception. I think that's it for me.
Pyros nods along as Daxiana speaks. "I agree. Knowledge is power. I learned early in my studies as an Aldori swordsman that knowing when and where and how to strike is often more important than the sharpness of your blade or the strength of your arm."
Pyros manages to deflect the centaur's blow, and returns one of his own!
Fighting Defensively, AC 21 (Touch 17, FF 14)
Pyros nimbly dodges the lance of the centaur charging him, then slashes at its unprotected flank.
as one centaur closes, Pyros slashes out with his dueling blade, before dropping back into his pattern of defensive work.

Pyros doesn't bother getting his sling out, concentrating on his defensive stance.
Pyros dismounts and draws his dueling sword, beginning a weaving a network in the air in front of him.
"We have been traveling for some time. A hot meal and a real bed sounds excellent." Pyros says, before looking around at the others. "In the morning, we can meet again and decide on our next steps."
"It could also be that the centaurs believe the men they've had trouble with to be affiliated with Varn's hold, and not independent actors. We should endeavor to clear that up if we have a chance."
Indeed! Just about food-coma time over here.
”We are yes. Here, she gave us these to explain the situation. I am Pyros Aldori, these are Daxiana, Elaina, Gaxi, Ikit, Raok, Cassia, and Maerik.” he says, passing the man Lady Jamandi’s papers and introducing the group in turn.
Pyros steps up next to Daxiana and smiles down at the boy. "We are an odd group, but they are not prisoners. They are allies. Please stable my horse as well." he says, and tosses the boy a gold piece.
