Venice by Night - Monday March 31, 1309 AlLa Vigna Inn - Prince Narses, chin dripping with blood, grabs at the Elder Ventrue's chin and raises it looking into his eyes, "Centuries have I longed to have you in my grasp my old foe. And now, you die". Time pauses for a moment, these two Mortal and Immortal enemies, so long to have plotted against one another, may have their rivalry ended in the blink of a Mortal eye.
Venice by Night - Monday, March 31, 1309 Elysium - Franz: Narses looks thoughtful, "The Dogs are generally aligned with the Gangrel, when they are not looking to slay our kind on sight that is.
There are some who are known to frequent large cities but when they do they rarely run alone. They are pack animals after all. Why would the Setites or Talisman be aligned with one of their ilk? I agree with your assessment, the coincidence is too great. Perhaps you would desire to look into this matter yourself? I would see it as a personal favor as I have many issues to deal with at hand already. I would warn you not to approach the Lupine yourself, one handed or not".

Venice by Night - Monday, March 31, 1309 Elysium - "As it turns out, it was a personal matter. He who summoned me has been put on notice and will be duly punished if necessary. The good news is that this entire Mortal conspiracy to overthrow the Doge is man made. Thus, its inception and conclusion shall remain outside of our realm of influence. Soon enough matters shall return to normal. Even better news, the Hunters who have been plaguing the city have been neutralized or slain. We shall be safe to stalk the streets once more. That of course does not mean that we shall be careless in our hunting. It does mean though that the moratorium on hunting restrictions shall now be lifted for all residents, even temporary ones starting immediately. A dark night has turned brighter. With most of our companions gone, I call the meeting of the Camarilla, our first meeting, adjourned until tomorrow night. Monday, March 31, 1309 Elysium - His face is rigid and he appears for the first tie any of you have seen him, angry, very angry. Next to him are a series of black shadow tentacles, struggling within them is the form of a man. He makes muffled sounds and it is difficult to get a sense of exactly what he looks like so grappled but from his gasps he appears to be a Mortal. "So. Some of you remain. I take it the rest voted to reconvene tomorrow?"
Venice by Night - Monday March 31, 1309 Via Orsoline - Narses replies to Michele, "It is good that I believe you in this else you and your Sire would meet the Final Death tonight. Your family though has caused me substantial problems. Your cousin will be dealt with by the authorities. You father may seek to secure his release, I would not see that done. By this time tomorrow night, your father dies. Or you do". He looks past you at Alessandro and moves to approach him but pauses and turns to you nose to nose, eye to eye, "Summon me in my own Domain again and you will wish I killed you". He grins and move on towards Alessandro, "The Silence of the Blood has been risked long enough here tonight. Bring me the heads of these Hunters and you shall have this Teuton, if not, I shall eat him myself". Baldemar struggles against the tenebrous arms Narses summoned to no avail. The Prince approaches the Knight and the shadows gather around them both and they are gone.
Venice by Night - Monday March 31, 1309 Via Orsoline - The Prince nods to Michele, "You assumed that correctly. I take it this mess is the reason then why you and your Sire were not in attendance at the Conclave tonight?" Sadir stands silent still.

If you step foot within it again, I will do all in my power to make sure your next death is truly the Final Death". Gesu merely nods and continues walking.

Sadir appears taken aback by the comment expecting something quite different!

Three more Mortals have retreated into that abandoned building". The Prince points top the building where Wilhelm is likely still on the roof and Brice and Francois entered. "They are claimed by no one and must be silenced. You and your Childe will finish them, now. Fail to do so and I can assure you, I will oppose Mithras' appointment as Justicar of your Clan". He then turns to Michele Querini, "I have not forgotten about you. You, I and your Sire shall speak. Now".

Venice by Night - Monday March 31, 1309 Via Orsoline - The Princes tendrils essentially end combat as he stalks forward and turns to Alessandro, "No". He then looks to the man he arrived with, "Lord Stack, do you sense any taint of the infernal about her?" The man steps forward, great sword in hand and a third eye opens upon his forehead. A light shines forth from that eye and as it strikes Katriana's body, her neck wounds heal. He arrives and stands above her.

At this second suggestion, Narses does speak, "This is indeed a sensible approach. Forcing Princes to relinquish political hunts and focus on... He stops, his eyes go wide. He turns to the Salubri, Brian Stack, "Lord Stack, attend to me, I am summoned in my own City! There shall be hell to pay!" Brian Stack rushes to him and the Prince and the Salubri Elder meld into the shadows at the back of the room and disappear from sight!
Venice by Night - Monday, March 31, 1309 Elysium - A rare look of shock turns to one of relief on the face of Prince Narses as the Ventrue enters the room and opposes the nomination made by Lord Benne, "Certainly the Cappadocian's cannot have the first choice among Ventrue Lord Benne".
Venice by Night - Monday, March 31, 1309 Elysium - Prince Narses shakes his head, "How can a member of a Bloodline be given such a position Lord Benne? I must oppose that vote despite your right to self-determination of the proper Justicar for your Clan. We cannot have members of true Bloodlines defer to quasi Cainites".

Narses turns to Lord Valdemar and nods, the Lasombra elder vanishes into the shadows... The Prince turns to the rest of the assembled Councilors, "Let us begin. Tonight, you may have seen the Mortals restless in the streets. I assure you that my pawns have any such uprising under control. By tomorrow, this bloodletting in the streets will come to a stop and order will once again return to Venice. In the meantime, although a few of our members have not arrived, let us discuss the first order of business. What is the best mechanism through which this Council can project its overt authority over the rest of the Clans? Certainly, based upon participation in elections, it appears that many Elders and Prince's are in agreement that this body is indeed necessary".
Venice by Night - Monday, March 31, 1309 Elysium - The group enters Elysium and the Elders take their seats upon the dais while the Childer take their seats at the table. This room, once filled with Cainite factions vying for control seems large with so much space. The shadows within seem deeper as well even though more lanterns flicker than ever before. Narses scans the room and frowns, "I would have thought that everyone would have assembled by now. It seems that the weather and this conspiracy have perhaps delayed some arrivals. Do any of you present know the current whereabouts of Michele Querini?" The normally impassive face of Narses shows signs of frustration.
Venice by Night - Monday, March 31, 1309 Inside Elysium - Narses nods to you and closes his eyes concentrating for a few moments. He opens his eyes once more. "They are at the Palazzo Abadessa. The current residence of the vising Gangrel having already explored the Al Ponte Mocenigo, and Hotel Danieli. I shall transport you to near their location. Due to the length of travel were I you I would hold still. There are those who have stepped into the shadows never to return..." That said the shadows gather around you and you feel yourself plunged into darkness and terrible biting cold! You feel things paw at the edges of your frame and see darkened images flit across your vision!
Venice by Night - Monday, March 31, 1309 Inside Elysium - "I suspect that my old foe is here to cause problems for me. If they have visited Greetings Inn than they are in league with the Tzimisce Myca Vykos and I have sent one of my own agents into a trap. By now, she is with one of Vykos' own servants. Are you willing to follow my own ally and lie in wait for a time when I can spring mine own trap upon them?"

Venice by Night - Monday, March 31, 1309 Inside Elysium - The Prince's eyes bulge in rage! "Belisarius lives and so does his wench. And they went to Greetings Tavern... Indeed a plot is afoot". The shadows of Elysium roil erratically, in fact the building shakes with the Prince's anger!
Venice by Night - Monday, March 31, 1309 Inside Elysium - The Prince addresses Yeti, "For now, return to the Haven of the Cappadocians. Whether I grant you further rights within the City will be dictated by how good a citizen you can be". Yeti bows and takes his leave. The Prince turns to his Seneschal, "Meet with the Toreador, I shall convene with this Gangrel now..." The Seneschal bows and heads upstairs. The Prince motions for you to approach and as you do a shroud of darkness cuts you off from the rest of the room. Bernardo: "Speak freely Bernardo Morosini of Padua, let us see what my Childe deems so important when so many other matters demand my attention. Then we shall see whether you shall remain or go".

Venice by Night - Monday March 31, 1309 Elysium – The door is not locked, you pad down the stairs silently and find Narses on his throne brooding. Standing next to him is a shadowy figure. As you get closer you realize the figure is indeed an actual shadow! "Good evening my dear. Unfortunately, my spies are of no use as the Mortal world has fallen into greater chaos. Mortal enemies of my pawn have struck against him and even now, my pawns forces seek to suppress the uprising. However, I have summoned a Dark Hunter. This being you see before you now. It shall travel with you hidden within your Cloak. Through it, I shall see all you see and can intervene if needs be. Go first and locate Dragan, let us use the resources that Vykos offers to us instead of seeking a Boon from one of the other Clans to aid in this search. Perhaps the Gangrel's senses may allow him to follow the scent of Bagrat. I have not much hope this night except that perhaps you can begin to eliminate possibilities of where he has been taken. Were I you, I would start with the Inns where the Cainites who have come for the Conclave are staying, any newcomer who may have kidnapped Bagrat as a play against me, may have stashed him in one of those places where no others would stumble upon him by accident..."
Venice by Night - Sunday March 30, 1309 Inside Narses Court - "Accept his help as you would. We should make allies of the Cappadocians as we did of their Giovanni Family. A Cainite responsible eh? Then this complicates matters, I shall send with you a Shadow Hunter as well. That being shall be my eyes and ears that I may come to your aid if needs be my Ward". Narses pauses, "One final matter to discuss. Lord Bajazet has once again asked permission to bring you to the stronghold of his Clan, Alamut. I have instead stated that you should be taken under his wing here in Venice. Have you an objection to spending time with Lord Bajazet?"
Venice by Night - Sunday March 30, 1309 Inside Narses Court - Narses frowns, "Dragan eh? He brought that cur with him and never announced him. It is no wonder that Fiend has not been coming to Elysium, he lost his peace offering to me. Indeed, I approve of you working with Dragan, beware of him, wolf in body he is snake in his soul. Tonight I shall ask the Nosferatu to search for Bagrat, then tomorrow you can search in the places they were not able to go, that should narrow down the places you must go. Did Vykos indicate any Cainites in the city he thought might have an interest in this Ghoul?"
Venice by Night - Sunday March 30, 1309 Inside Narses Court - You step through the front doors and into the inky blackness of the Court, you feel as if you are falling and then you are caught by strong arms. You feel yanked again harshly! If you still had a stomach no doubt your food would have been left behind. Suddenly you find yourself on your feet once more, within the chamber of Elysium. Seated on his throne is Narses alone. "My dear. Have you news?"

Venice by Night - Sunday March 30, 1309 Narses Court - Elysium - Narses nods to Durga Syn, "Indeed. Mistress Fanchon. The votes have been cast. The Inner Circle has been chosen. If you have further business in Court this night, remain. If you do not, I suggest you take your leave and control your temper. The Camarilla has been formed. Tomorrow evening we shall conduct the Inaugural Meeting. The following Heads of Clan shall be in attendance or their duly chosen representatives: Clan Assamite - Lord Bajazet al Nasir. Venice by Night - Sunday March 30, 1309 Narses Court - Elysium - As the Ventrue chat at their table, Narses five minutes for Vykos expires. The Prince turns to the Ventrue. "Proceed Franz Albert. After you vote, Durga Syn shall tally the votes and announce the winners. We shall all then celebrate, that this affair is finally complete. Official business of the Court may then be brough before me. Tomorrow night, the first meeting of the Camarilla will be held, only the Inner Circle and their Chosen Childer are invited to attend. Thereafter, the Camarilla will meet a second night to hear all of the petitions of those who remain in Venice and this Conclave will come to an end".
Venice by Night - Sunday March 30, 1309 Narses Court - Elysium - Narses then speaks, "Vykos has 10 minutes to arrive and vote. If not, his vote will be absentee and we shall move along to the final Clan, Ventrue. Completing the votes and we shall finally have our Circle complete".
Venice by Night - Sunday March 30, 1309 Narses Court - Savio: "Gottsdam? A name I do not know. Germanic perhaps? Much as I am loathe to suggest it, speak with the Ventrue, they may know this name.
The Man with No Name? Speak with Alejandro, I would know who this Childe of his is if we are to take this Xing into the fold". Alejandro is indeed present at the Lasombra table.

As you approach your Sire you see that your Siblings, Alejandro and Valdemar nod in your direction. Alejandro from the Lasombra table and Valdemar from the left upon the dais several paces behind Narses. No doubt others watch you approach but what concern have you with the lesser Clans in this seat of power? Savio: "Childe. Did you find this Xing? Have you discovered something of her heritage?"
Venice by Night - Sunday March 30, 1309 Narses Court - Elysium - Prince Narses speaks, "This is the final night of the Conclave. ONce the votes are cast for Clans Malkavian, Tremere, and Nosferatu, only members of the Inner Circle and their Childer shall be invited back tomorrow night for our first official organized meeting. If you are not a resident of this city or a member of the Inner Circle, you have by the end of the night to petition with my Seneschal Lord Valdemar to be granted leave to remain. If you fail to do so then I will conclude that you have no intention of staying and that you will return to your own Domains no later than Wednesday. I trust this is clear?" The Prince scans the room and no one responds. "As I see no reason to waste much time in making our final decisions, I invited Durga Syn to Elysium early tonight. She will once more ascend the stairs of Elysium to take the final votes of those assembled. Vote for all of the remaining Clans at the same time to speed up the process. That will allow more time for the Seneschal to receive and for myself to consider any petitions for residency. Any other matters outside of the final vote should wait until all votes are cast".
Venice by Night - Sunday March 30, 1309 Sequestered in Darkness - The Prince's Blood is potent indeed! It is as if drinking sludge not Blood. A fire runs through you before you can drink more deeply he removes his wrist despite your best efforts to retain your grasp. Fragile though his frame may be, he is powerful indeed.
"Good. Last night, a Ghoul who serves Lord Vykos who I find favorable failed to visit with me. Go to Greetings Inn and retrieve him for me, his name is Bagrat Kamsarakan. See that no harm comes to him. Have you any questions before I send you along?"
Venice by Night - Sunday March 30, 1309 Sequestered in Darkness - "Do you require sustenance my dear? You seem a bit more pale than last night". He holds up his wrist, "Drink. My Blood shall fortify you for the task I have in mind".
Venice by Night - Sunday March 30, 1309 Sequestered in Darkness - The dark becomes softened once more creating shadows in the room. From those shadows, the Prince emerges. "Good evening my dear. I trust you slept well? I will need you outside of Elysium this night".
Venice by Night – Saturday March 29, 1309 Prince Narses Shadow Court - Narses and Savio:
"Brexiano overextended himself attempting to destroy the target of a Blood Hunt, the Amici Noctis have been notified. I will let them seek to take vengeance if they so choose as this Cainite is now out of my Domain".
Narses smiles, "Machinations? This new organization is the culmination of centuries of work come to fruition. Through it, we shall wield more power than our Clan has quite possibly ever. The entire City is Elysium if you need a Cainite to be sanctioned come to me first and I shall declare a Blood Hunt. Indeed, the utmost discretion. Have you begun developing your powers over the Shadows yet?" Perception+Empathy DC 9 - 2 Successes Required: Narses is being vague about Brexiano, likely because he was never thrilled with the Seneschal to begin with but Brexiano was forced upon him when the Cainite Heresy fell apart and Narses was weakened from that fall out.
Venice by Night – Saturday March 29, 1309 Prince Narses Shadow Court - Narses and Savio: "I am aware of your failure. The task I assigned become more, complicated, by I believe Ventrue machinations.
It is no matter, soon enough I shall control this Camarilla and that piece shall be swept from the board as a danger to us all. Thereafter, I shall send you to the city of Ferrara once more to be installed as Prince. For now, stay here and witness my triumph. I have circumvented the power of the Amici Noctis with a small favor and curried favor with the Eldest as a result of this scheme. Whence I gain more power so shall you my Childe. I do have one task for you now that you have returned. Alejandro has claimed a Grandchilde, I would know who her Sire is and how she came to be here. You no doubt saw her at the Lasombra table, an eastern girl. Seek her out, find out her secrets, if you believe it prudent, report them back to me. If you deem them unworthy, I shall know by your lack of report that I need not trouble myself further by thinking more upon the matter. I am considering Alejandro as the Prince of Rome to replace the swept away piece, if what you find troubles me, I may have to change my mind on this. Alejandro from the Lasombra table where he is seated next to an exotic looking female you have never seen before and Valdemar from the dais, it seems that he is serving in Brexiano's role. But whare is your Sire's former Seneschal?

He has not released this Childe and is therefore free to discipline him as he sees fit. I frown upon this outburst but I will neither change him in violation of Elysium nor shall I hold him for a Camarilla lynching. It is clear you will not win this seat Leeland. I suggest you take leave of my Court as within the week we will indeed seek out those criminals who the Camarilla deems too dangerous to roam free, you may well be numbered among them..."
Venice by Night – Saturday March 29, 1309 Prince Narses Court - As the chatter moves about the room, the door opens once more and this time Durga Syn does enter with the Fledgling Veronica Acqua and Vasantasena the Malkavian. Narses looks at her, "I am glad to see you are well, Grandmother. Where is my Seneschal?"
