Kerda: its stealth The floor here in this room is slick with seawater, bits of seaweed, and fish blood, the air is thick with the accompanying scent. Wooden catwalks to the north and south seems to allow access to the western part of the fishery, while the floor here is only five feet above the river below. On top of the catwalk, you see a half orc beast of a person barking orders at the children. An open bay to the south allows direct access to the sloppy, muddy water, while to the northwest stands an immense ten-foot-tall wooden vat, its sides caked and waterproofed with tar. To the east are stacked many barrels and crates, each marked in paint with a fish. Working nearby them are nearly 15 children sorting threw what looks like purses, wallets and other valuables, all wearing a hemp bag and nothing more. Walking back and forth behind the children hitting each one on the back with a sap is a small gnome who snickers as he wacks each child. You guess there ages from 8-12. Under that catwalks nearly two dozen small hammocks hang, each occupied with its own child, ratty blanket and pillow.
Female Human
Kerda: As you carefully (but unsuccessfully) attempt to pick the lock, you can hear the sounds of heavy feet on the other side along with the sounds of metal hitting metal. You also someone shout "Work faster you stupid children, i have to go do a patrol" The wood boards protesting, and the sound of water running can be heard
Female Human
Adelita:
The looks like an attempt was made to board it shut. The boards look old and moldy. The look like they where nailed in random places to make the door unusable but there is still room to see threw the boards Kerda:
A fifteen-foot-wide loading dock abuts the side of the
building here. A few fresh carts sit nearby, partially loaded with large tar-caked barrels marked with a fish-shaped splotch of red paint on the side. Double doors to the immediate south of the loading dock’s ramp, while a rickety flight of stairs descends nearly to the river’s surface to the east, where a second door lies [both doors are locked]. however no windows on this side Argil:
Thats your decision lol, if you think you can all fit and ride then lets see While you are talking, it suddenly goes quite. no more thuds or vibrating boards. just a err silence less the faint sounds of whimpering from the dog as it begins to move about and try to stand.
Female Human
Adelita:
It sounds like things are being moved yes (scraping on the floor, thuds on the wall and vibrations of running can be felt and heard. peering threw the door you see a bunch of wood boards criss crossed over the other side of the door. looking threw any small hole or crack will see a wooden desk sits in one corner of this room, fast asleep in a chair behind it is a man (blonde hair, human, wearing a red coat with many vials sticking out of every pocket). the desk is kinda of sideways preventing the western door from opening all the way. The table is heaped
with dozens of slate boards covered with chalk scrawls. Coeran: There is a window there, with 2 board nailed over it. makeing a X shape. Looking threw you will see 5 children (3 human boys and 1 girl, and 1 elf looking girl moving beds, crates, and anything not bolted down to the floor in front of the door. Your judgement you guess they look 10-13 wearing very dirty hemp sacks for clothing.
Female Human
Anyone who can see inside the door sees about 3 little human faces poking out of the inside door on the right, soon as they are seen the door slams shut with a thud (you can clearly see they are children). "The hell with this place, im sleeping in the caravan" Huffs the dwarf in full retreat to the carriage
Female Human
The dog, having taken a heavy blow lays there whispering but completely unconscious. As you open the door fully, A single desk sits in the middle of this room, a moldy chair pushed up against the far side. A small pile of ratty furs and straw is heaped under the table. The smell of fish and wet dog populate this room

Im sorry guys, i wasn't expecting shotaro to attack the dog. Guess i worded the dogs actions incorrectly. to keep the peace and because its my mess up ill say shotaro indeed killed the dog so everyone dont need to be put in init. im sorry this was my bad

Shotaro Kudo wrote: Well it could do a partial charge as a standard action, if it wanted to take a bite at one of us. I'll continue my actions on the normal initiative, since Shotaro at least thinks it's aggressive. So be it Your attack hits the dog and seems to aggravate it, it lunges and trys to bite your arm Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
ouch! bad dog!

Shotaro Kudo wrote: Oh! Jeez I'm sorry it sounded like it was attacking the way you described it! If it's not then I won't hit it. It's just that when an angry animal flings itself at you snarling, it's kinda... a giveaway that it's attacking. Can only make a move or an attack action in a surprise round lol, it made its move action

sorry for late reply, i fell asleep. For those of you by the front door, you can hear the sound of a dog barking as well as a harsh "Shut up you filthy mut!" and it will go silent The side doors you hear a rumbling snore, a dog barking sometimes followed by a loud "Shut up" as well as the protest of the walkway under you. Both of you pick the locks and find different outcomes. Front Door:
As you open the front door, A single desk sits in the middle of this room, a moldy chair pushed up against the far side. A small pile of ratty furs and straw is heaped under the table. As soon as you open the door all the way you see a loud barking dog come charging at the first person it sees barking and showing his nasty colored teeth Side door: This door unlocks, but will not budge at all. Sounds of snoreing can still be heard along with minor references to "Insects, Chitlins, and Giggles". as dog, clearly upset about something can be heard barking

You guys where talking about no payment and some upfront, the guard over heard and said he heard there was a large stash of sails at this fishery but has no prove because the queen only takes her loyal guards

Kerda the Rogue wrote: "So we're just here for the sails, right? Let's get them and get out," Kerda says, gesturing toward the front doors. "I'm going to a look around back." Kerda begins to head toward the walkway around the right side of the building. As you begin to walk on the walkway, you begin to hear it creak in protest, to the right looks like a run down old warehouse, in front you see the rear end of a large boat. A little ahead on the left is a door The dwarf shakes the door. "sealed shut tighter then a tuna can, just my luck" To Adelita: "Young lady, you do know what a sail is eh? sails are gold my love, coin, heck maybe some crowns will be in there" To Roman in dwarven: "Top of carriage is my old fishing kit if you think you have any luck hahaha"

alas, for you you percep takers. The building has to large wooden doors on the front, as well as two planked walkways leading around each corner. The path its self is a dead end with a couple carts parked with large barrels on them with a crudely shaped fish head seemly stamped on the barrels. In front of the building lays thick vegetation and trees. Fresh tracks are clearly visible on the ground, both humanoid and cart. sounds of waves crashing along the short and creaking wood are heard abundantly
Female Human
As night begins to fall, the dwarf hits the side of the carriage. "wake up you old lazy humans, we made it to the fishery" The reek of brine and the stink of week-dead fish hang thickly in the air here. The old double doors in the side of this weathered building are tightly closed, with a drooping signpost hanging above. The sign it once displayed is long gone, leaving behind only a single short length of rusted chain. map of fishery posted

As the guards finish loading, they wish you good luck. "As the royal doctor is unsure how long the king has left, please make haste. No one here wants to see queen Ileosa rise to the thrown, this poor city will never be the same." he points to the an X on the map, then a little away from it. "Here, an old fishery still remains. Queen Ileosa spends a lot of time here, she only takes her most loyal and elite guards. I hear there is a stash of sails here. Might be worth looking into, but please hurry."
Female Human
Couple guards are by a very run down looking horse drawn carriage loading supply's on the roof. They whistle when the group is spotted and guided to the carriage. You each are handed a map of the route as well as explained the supply's given. (2 horses, a crate of rations (roughly 3 weeks worth), shovel, 10 torches, a fishing kit, 2 hemp ropes and 3 weeks worth of horse feed). Looking at the map, several X's marked at random areas along the route. if asked about, they are explained as "safe houses" to rest if needed.

Couple minutes pass before 3 guards enter 2 carrying horns and proceed to announce "Presenting, Her royal majesty, Queen Ileosa Arabasti, Queen of Korvosa" A beautiful, yet bitter young woman walks from behind the curtain, wearing a long green and gold royal robe and a beautiful gem encrusted crown atop her long beautiful red hair, her blue eyes striking fear into the guards she glaces at The queen takes here seat on the throne and glances at the group before turning to the 3ed guard and whispers something before turning back to the group. "Hello my subjects, i know you where called here expecting the king however the king is gravely ill. You where summoned because your fame has followed you into my lands, and i need your help." with that she shouts "Guards, seal the chamber". The guards close and bar the door before standing in front of it swords at the ready. The queen rises and approaches the group "i need you to travel to Cheliax and retrieve some.. medicine." walking slowly by each person, her bright blue eyes looking like tiny icicles. "you will be compensated for your efforts once returning with what i ask." The queen returns to her throne "Tell no one of your mission here, not even the king himself. A carriage waits for you outside, since i cant spare any guards, you must travel alone." The queen snaps her fingers and one of the guards approaches the nearest person "Use this letter once you reach Egorian should you land yourself in any trouble. Once you arrive seek out the local royal alchemist and bring back what he has. That is all, now be gone from my sight before i have your head."
Female Human
As everyone begins to funnel in is where everyone sees each other. Several guards stand around outside Castle Korvosa. Anyone who approaches is stopped by the guards "Stop right there! The royal family isn't seeing commoners" Presenting your letters earns you a quick snatch of the scroll, a harsh glare and a semi meaningful apology. "Let me see that... My apology's favored one. Follow me" After following the guard which seems like forever, your are lead into the throne room. "Stay here and do not wander around, caught outside these doors without a reason will be treated as an attack on the crown. Once the others arrive, someone will be with you" With that, the guards close the massive doors with a slam and return to post
