Sigh... I mostly wanted to to do this campaign with Vergil. I'm not sure I want to keep up with it myself in this situation. If there's one thing I know, it's not really worth the time to try and keep going in a game you're not really into any more...

I think it's best if I withdraw as well. Sorry.

"Hmm... What is this monument you speak of?"

Piatra kicks at one of the centipedes to make sure it's dead and grunts quietly. "Hardly worth the effort." He looks at his companions, "You all fought well. It was over practically before it began. There is hope for this group yet." He continues to look around the crypt, not particularly interested in the items found.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

Assuming the one near me is still there, I will attack it with Flurry of Blows

"Of course, Vergil" he responds as he strikes at the vermin. "Although a good time... might be bad for them."

Attack 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Damage 1: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Attack 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Damage 2: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Confirm Crit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Extra Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Well, if my first target goes down with that crit, I will attack a second target with the second attack, assuming I can get there with a 5foot step or less.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

I'll be at B8

Piatra moves forward into the room and moves off a bit to the right.

Piatra enters the crypt with the others, trying to be aware of anything that might be waiting for them.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

"Very well, let us go. If some wish to remain behind, we can meet again after."

Piatra eats quietly, listening as the others discuss plans to continue reading books and papers. Eventually he turns to Vergil and speaks in a low voice, "I must admit, friend, all of this talk of libraries and town halls is a bit... well boring. Perhaps I could be of more use going to take a look at this prison, and seeing what might be awaiting us. I can likely sneak in close enought to get a good look without getting into too much trouble"

Piatra mumbles a few words to himself and then says to the rest, "We should examine the site of this accident as I suspect we might find more there."

As will Piatra

"I will leave the books to others. I find bookshelves to be a bit tedious."

I'm fine getting a trap expert of some kind. We were "team brawn" so we might be ok combat-wise. A rogue might add some needed skills too as we go along.

I don't mean to make things difficult, but at this point, Piatra should stay with Kendra unless she wishes him to leave with the group. Of course, ooc I would rather stay with the group in whatever they wish to accomplish, but I'll need a GM reason to do so as she has accepted my protection :). Of course, if she needs it, I have no problem staying with her for protection. It is up to the GM. :)

Piatra observes the reading of the will from a short distance away from the others, arms crossed and feet set apart, his face determined. When the Councilman has left, Piatra approaches Kendra, "Kendra, it appears your father was aware of some danger that may exist towards your person. I offer... in fact I near insist that I be allowed to operate as your personal bodyguard for as long as you wish it, and certainly for the month required of your father. If you would allow me to stay near you, I can assure you no harm will approach you."

As Hasmir reads the journal, Piatra waits patiently for an explanation of its contents, although he has interposed himself between the chest and Kendra, as if to protect her from what it may contain.

Piatra bows to Kendra, and follows the group silently,

I'm still trying to figure out Piatra's voice. he's not much of a talker, obviously, but that may change over time as he gets to know people. he'll speak up when he thinks it's necessary.

No worries. I think that might be more important that a PbP game in any case :) Congrats!

Not sure how you can say it's slow, it's barely even started yet... Weekends are pretty slow no matter what PbP campaign.

Piatra stares after the villagers as they leave, astounded as usual at the elf's ability to handle such situations.

As the funeral progresses, Piatra listens to the others talk, and finally decides he should say something. He stands and mumbles something unintelligible, pauses for a moment and then in a gruff voice says, "The Professor taught me many things. Of all things, we fought an evil undead creature when we first met, together. Had he not befriended me, I doubt I would have ever left the mountains I called home."

He hesitates, perhaps thinking he should say more, but then he sits down, mumbling again.

Piatra moves up next to Kraz and adds his own stern glare to the villagers, although he remains silent.

Thought I'd throw a sense motive in there: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

As the small crowd introduces itself to each other, a stout looking dwarf approaches from the town. He stands at a distance for a few moments, not entirely comfortable among all the strangers. As he notices the thin elf seemingly pop out of thin air he approaches and nods to him. "Hello Vergil, I see you've managed to appear on time."

The dwarf turns to the daughter of the professor, and bows deeply. "The professor taught me a great deal about the world and I regret I was unable to spend more time with him. He will be missed. My name is Piatra, of the Five Kings Mountains, although it has been a long time since I set foot there. If there is anything you require, I am at your service."

Sounds good on the combat. You're free to NPC Piatra any time you like if it's holding things up. If you do anything I dislike, I'll let you know ;)

I'll get going in the game thread in a moment.

If it works, I'll take Big Game Hunter. I could just as easily trained to fight giants and large creatures in the Tanglebriar... as I could have trained for stuff in Varisia.

Let me know if that's ok.

I assume I am in the right place? :)

I am still short one local feat, but wasn't sure what to do as I don't meet any of the "affinity" prerequisites of the local feats I could see in the PRD.

I'm excited! :)

Sorry, he's built with two Archtypes, Flowing Monk and Monk of the Sacred Mountain.

I think my feats are right, get one normal lvl 1 and one bonus as Monk.

For the local feat, can I take the "Stance of the Xorn" feat from Dwarves of Golarian? It requires +3BAB, but I could just not have it kick in until level 4, so I meet the prerequisite.

Updated profile except for local feat.

My brother and I have been wanting to play in a Carrion Crown game for some time as a pair. My Dwarven Monk and his Elvish Wizard. Here's my Monk, which I can obviously tweak to your build rules. I mention his character in my backstory, but I'll get him to post his character tomorrow.
