Within my 15 ft aura:

You Raise your Shield, causing ephemeral spirit shields to float within your champion’s aura. The shields last until the start of your next turn or until you’re no longer raising your shield, whichever comes first. While one of your allies is in your champion’s aura, the shields grant them a +1 status bonus to AC, and each time an enemy makes an attack against the ally, the enemy takes 1d4 spirit damage (even if it misses).

The benefit applies only while an ally is in your aura, ending for any ally that leaves and applying to any that enters later. As normal, you don’t count as your own ally and therefore don’t get the benefits of the spirit shields yourself.

"Fear not!" Peri charges into the midst of the fighting. He slashes the larger chupacabra across the hip. "Like Nolly, we'll see these beasts deterred!"

He raises his shield and a swirl of ghostly rabbits bound around the melee.

Additionally, when you succeed at your check to Exploit a Vulnerability, compare the result of your Esoteric Lore check to the DC to Recall Knowledge for that creature; if that number would be a success or a critical success, you gain information as if you had succeeded at the Recall Knowledge check.

Peri hauls himself up the short bluff--a tougher feat than for bigger folk. He considers the bow over his shoulder for a moment but then straps on his shield. He watches the strange creature as he draws a blade from his belt. "You're a scary one."

Peri's eyes grow wide as he points behind Scripio. "Like that one!?"

Whether or not the goblin falls for the prank, Peri slaps his own knee and laughs. "We probably should tell Wilhuff what we found and where we're going."

"I see what you mean," Peri says, nodding to Scripio as he inspects the alpaca corpse.

He lifts an ear, pushes back an eyelid, and examines the mouth. "Something sucked out near all the blood."

"That would be terrible! We can't let either of those things happen!" Peri says confidently. "Show us the your latest loss."

"Apologies! I was overwhelmed by Majesty's glorious, well, majesty," Peri says to the rancher. "My name's Peri Longshadow. Everyone else is too numerous to name. Drandle Dreng sent us to check on this ranch. Do you know him?"

Fortitude (E): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Peri's jaw drops open. "That is an astounding beast!" he says. "I must have one for a mount!"

Shaggy auburn hair and golden eyes mark the halfling named Peri Longshadow. He grins up at the blond elf and slaps her on the lower back good-naturedly. "You're so kind to open the door for little Giggleflame," he says. His hand falls away to leave behind a small parchment with a target drawn on it, stuck to the back of Henaria's armor with a bit of tacky gum.

The Mihrini fingers the wooden charm shaped like a notched sword hanging from the cord at his neck. "I wouldn't mind a bit of warm food before we set out, myself."

The Grandeur reaction generates the standard 2+level Resist All to the triggering attack.

In addition, the triggering enemy is then Dazzled and Off-Guard (due to Brilliant Flash feat) for 1 round. When that 1 round should end is debated. RAW it is the start of Peri's turn, but that could be very short depending on initiative order.

I need to update the profile to remaster champion.
This alias goes with the PFS2 registered placeholder name TDM Ranged Paladin (because I have name indecision).

"Of course," Peri agrees with a cherubic smile. "Sometimes the restless dead tell us something of the past. Sometimes they just strangle you to death. But still, I think I learned a bit about the dwarves of this area."

Briony should be at full HP due to the damage reduction from Retributive Strike last battle.

"Gah! Ow!" Peri yelps as the spectral hands reach for his soul. "Obviously, the dead are restless!"

He steps away from the skeletal hand trying to climb his short self and flings the stone from his slingstaff toward the hand strangling Rosa. He quickly loads another stone into the sling's pouch.

"How long were you in here?" Peri wonders aloud, noting the moss growing on the recovered pack. "But, yeah, before more spiders show up, we go back to the surface."

"I'll stay back here in case that thing summons more spiders or other beasts," Peri says and loads a stone into his slingstaff.

"Let me see the poor soul," Peri says once the spiders are still and no one remains in peril of spider bites. He rests his hand upon the orc and concentrates for a moment. Shadow and light spin around his hand before flowing into the archivist.

Perri whips the stone from his sling staff as the spider attacks Briony. "Oh, no you don't! Take that!" he shouts.

"Oh. Bother. Spiders," Peri laments as he steps forward to get a better view of the oncoming arachnids. He whips his sling staff around to fling a stone at the lead (red) spider and quickly loads another stone into the pouch.

"Be careful. There's bound to be more spiders around," Peri whispers caution and loads a stone into his sling.

Peri nods, not disagreeing with his companions assessment. "Onwards, though!"

"What do you do with such a thing?" Peri asks. "I could try to sneak past it, but I don't know about the rest of you. If it were a snare or something, I'd know what to do..."

"Down we go!" Peri says.

Walking with his staff sling, the halfling slips back to the fringe of the torch light, leather boots stepping lightly.

"Yes!" Peri says. "We can't let the poor adventurer suffer in the dark." He begins to unsling his pack and then pauses with a glance toward the poppet. "Does anyone know that trick to make light with magic?"

EDIT: And still likely to use a halfling sling staff as an improvised melee weapon. d6 2-handed bludgeoning sound fair?

"Thank you!" Peri says as Mik-Mek offers to lead him to the Grand Lodge. "What is the process for joining the Society? How long do you spend in classes? Do you have a mentor? Does the mentor select you or do you select the mentor?" He continues to pile questions upon the kobold as they walk through the streets of Absalom.

Sometime later when fishing out money to pay for his lunch, he pulls out an acorn. "I don't remember picking that up."

"That was a dangerous beast!" Peri says. "It must have been intelligent. It must have made the trap that Rawiri fell into. A shame we couldn't talk with it." The halfling appears introspective while they regather.

Peri dashes through the forest and out into the open. "Hey! You need to get out of here!" He loads his sling staff and whips it overhead to throw the stone at the wide-mouthed beast.

"What? No, no, no! This is a rotten pickle!" Peri curses as his vision finally clears. "Someone take care of Nangu! I'm going to after the beast."

He dashes through the woods, leaping over bushes and ducking under branches with surprising ease. Once he can make out the predatory beast, he whips his sling staff forward and releases the stone toward it. "Go away!"

Peri fumbles onward in the woods, confused by the stomping of big folk feet here and there.

"Where?" Peri fumbles forward, passing right over Maruta as he moves in the direction of the fey's voice. He then thinks he might have gone too far and listens for the sound of battle.

If Peri could have seen what had happened, he might have an idea. Alas. Blindness at level 1 is no fun.

"Oh! Where is everyone going?" Peri cries at the sound of crashing feet on the forest floor, squinting at the shadows of light and dark swirling in his vision.

"Oh bother! This isn't going to work at all!" Peri shouts. "Where is everyone?"

Delay? Not that I think anything would change while blinded.

Peri's retributive strike reaction prevents 3 damage.

Does the damage reduction function of retributive strike work while Blinded? Obviously, the bonus melee Strike is affected.

Does the Sudden Shift reaction--step after being missed--trigger while Blinded?

"Nine rotten apples! I can't see a thing!" Peri moves into the underbrush, getting slapped in the face by twigs and branches that he would normally avoid with ease. He loads his sling staff with a stone and tries to hide in the shadows and brush once again.

Peri slips into the underbrush to sneak closer for a better view of their quarry.

Terrain Stalker: Underbrush

Peri begins looking around with all his outdoors training that he has accrued while sitting outside eating berries out of a bowl and watching the sunset.

"You're welcome. Stay safe! Keep your bellies full!" Peri says once the halflings' wagon is on its wheels and out of the mud. He turns back to his companions and drops his jaw as he witnesses the exchange between Nangu and Squish.

He slowly closes his mouth and turns to someone else. "I can't even right now. So? Are we tracking down the beast that attacked them? Let's go hunting!"

"Oh. That's nine worms in one apple! I'm sorry," Peri says. "Let's see if we can't get your wagon righted. Who's going to help and who's going to keep an eye out for whatever ate the donkey?"

"Pillage? Even the Ulfen raiders would help travelers in need," Peri shakes his head bewilderedly. "My goodness this is an odd catch of fish."

"Friends! Got yourselves in a frog wallow?" Peri shouts, hopping out of the shadows along the road when he spies the fallen wagon. "How can we help you? Besides the obvious need of righting your wagon, of course."

"Oh! Is that a faerie?" Peri asks.

"Food! Here, here. Let me carry the provisions," Peri says. "I wouldn't want anyone to be overburdened. Here, I'll take the pickled fish eggs, too. Did you pack any in these provisions? Just curious."

A short time later, knowing how Nangu feels about fishy smells, he tries to slip the briny parcel into the twice-cursed's pocket. "So... who cursed you how, now? And they left a wayfinder behind?" He stumbles over a rise in the ground and bumps into Nangu. "Oh! Sorry!"
