Male Human Inquisitor of Iomedae 1; HP 14/14, AC 16, Init +1, Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +3, Perception +5, Greataxe +4(1d12+6/20x3)

Any word from Katataban?

Initiative:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

Dred springs forward and snaps both doors closed with a clang. He then turns to the bandits and draws his great sword, "You are surrounded. Drop your weapons and we will spare your lives. Resist, and we'll kill every last one of you!"

Intimate:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Dred crouches behind A2 as the bandits enter. Once they have moved through the gate he moves up the side of the building until he is just out of their line of sight. Once Aldarion triggers the spell he will sprint to the gate to shut it. He keeps his sword ready.

Dred will be the gate closer. He will behind A2 and sneak up and close the gate once the trap is sprung. He will then physically block their access to the doors. If any bandits are not trapped he will move in to engage them.

After setting up the trap Dred will retire to his room to meditate and sharpen his sword. "Sleep well my friends, tomorrow we will teach these bandits to fear us."

Dred will help Aldarion set up the trap.

Nodding to Aldarion, "Your plan sounds good. I will be one of the gate closers. We will need to ensure that they don't have anyone who hangs back outside of the gates."

"If we spring the trap while the bandits are entering there may be no need to involve Svetlana and Oleg, or to try to disguise ourselves as them. Presumably the bandits plan to walk up to the tavern door to demand their ransom. Just ensnare them midway across the courtyard, before they get to the door. We need to be ready to quickly dispatch any bandits not caught in the trap."

"Are you proposing that we dig some sort of pit trap Aldarion? That could work, if we have time. I must confess I was envisioned something more simple like sneaking up on them and bashing them into submission, but I'm willing to try the trap idea. The trick will be to locate it in an area where we know they'll walk through, without making it obvious."

Dred bows his head in respect to Svetlana, "All will be well my lady. We will ensure that these miscreants do not bother you again."

Nodding to Egon, he addresses Oleg, "We will prove our mettle to you tomorrow. Perhaps then you will apologize for your insolence."

Once dinner is complete Dred will thank his hosts for the food and will then go outside to inspect the stables and guesthouse. He looks for places to hide that have line of sight to the entrance of the tavern.

Dred nods at Torin. "Yes, I think dealing with them here is best. Enora, they will retaliate against the outpost regardless of where we confront them. If we use the element of surprise we should be able to take at least one of them alive. We then need to quickly track them back to their strong hold and deal with the larger group before they can retaliate against the Oleg and Svetlana."

Dred gives Oleg a scathing look, "Sir, I assure you that we can handle ourselves in combat. These bandits must be taught to respect the law".

To the group, "We must confront these bandits tomorrow."

Dred nods,"Yes food would be good. We will require rooms for the night also."

Dred will walk around the perimeter of the building looking for anything suspicious.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Upon entry he will introduce himself, "Greetings, I am Dred Delgath, humble servant of Iomedae. Anything that you can tell us about the Greenbelt would be appreciated."

Dred rolls up the scroll and turns to the group, "Greetings all, I am Dred Delgath, disciple of Iomedae. I have come to expand the influence of Iomedae into the Greenbelt. I look forward to working with you to cleanse this land of evil. "

Dred closes his eyes and bows his head, "May Iomedae bless our sacred company and give us the power to persevere."

Greetings all, sorry for the delay. Game on!

DM:
Dred is actually indifferent and generally tolerant to other faiths of good alignment. As an inquisitor he is more concerned with keeping the faithful of his religion pure. For the followers of Iomedae, they will find Dred to be a loyal supporter - as long as they maintain the high standards of Iomedae (as interpreted by Dred).

He will of course slay those evil faiths with righteous fury:)

I would like to submit Dred Delgath for your consideration.
