I also have the worlds largest dungeon. I havent looked at it in over three years but i could take over a group. I would not retire Willow tough, given the nature of the dungeon within 2 or three lvls the storyline will stop overlaping so I wouldnt be spoilered passed a certain point. I worry that a group of 12 for an online game would lead to troublesome combats with way too many actors. I also offer to DM. So both DMs can profit from an unspoilered adventure, we could trade players. I have Willow and Krieger available for WBL.

To be clear I only rolled my attack and damage because i knew i'd be away most of the day. I didnt want my absence to lag the game. Its a readied action vs first orc that rises with weapon in hand. If they dont do that there wont be an attack. Thank you for compiling the damage for me, i have a DM that only counts the bonuses but I think its a house rule. Also total damage would then be 5 (6+1+1-3=5) or 7 if you count the str penalty only once

Critical hit, BOOYAH Leaving for a game IRL wont be able to update for the next 9 hours or so, Willow will retreat to the back but away from Thalrik (15 feet or so)Dont want to offer to juicy a target. Jicix will be further back still. I will keep firing arrows for this fight.
lol no that was good. I love the bit where he goes. Bill: Also, my room mate bought the Skull and Shackles modules [that you are currently using] and says he can host it instead of Savage Tides. He has invited you to play if you don’t give away secrets. He’s letting us play our current characters so that’s pretty cool. That is so dickish.lol. Looks like harmless teasing to me. How often do they do this? Every couple of months? twice a year? As long as its not every week I dont really see a problem. Teasing is a sign of affection (not to be mixed with bullying wich is different). I get the feeling that they go after your brother often tough, that must be really annoying. Dont know how you could convey to them that your brother is off-limit without pointing a big red arrow that says "If you are trying to get a rise out of me this is very effective". Anyway good luck with that
Female Elf Hedge witch 1
i dont know if anyone else here watches Game of thrones but i like to imagine Orcish sounding a bit like their Dothraki language (arabic/german inspiration) , or maybe something more along the lines of russian/farsi. Anyway heres a link with Drogo's powerful and evocative speech and another more intimidating one
Female Elf Hedge witch 1
Willow looks at Gyness with a sour expression on her face. She purses her lips, scowls and even stretch her jaws before saying. She clears her throat and spits a vilainous glob of phlegm on the ground. They wont need your "God's" healing. If they need any, they'll have mine There is something about the way she said the god word, so very filled with scorn.
Female Elf Hedge witch 1
Jicix stay away The goat retreats back towards the door, bleating feebly. Sense Motive 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14 Willow looks at the orcs, seated by the wall. They are not guarding the door thats for sure, they would have jumped us by now. What are they doing here? Master Kowus, before you feather them, do you speak orc? They might know something useful. If they have segregated from Longtail, they might even help us on our quest. I want to speak to them
Female Elf Hedge witch 1
The reality of pbp is that you cant leave anything up to interpretation. Everyone misread Gyness's action and his is not the first post that was misread. Gyness's would not have stopped for Willow (Everyone knows that), but maybe he read someone else's body language telling him to stop or the magical darkness was really intimidating or whatever. For the sake of rp continuity im going to play his action as not obeying Willow. His motivation to stop came from somewhere else, or by the time he walked from the middle of the room to the door the actions of the others have unfolded. Its too bad, i was looking forward to scolding him back for his petty brashness ;-) Let's not be too upset about this Magnitofera, Willow would have loved to sign your message, but shes already stepped through by now (right after Gyness who was in a rush to go after Thalrik and Evandrik is my guess)
Female Elf Hedge witch 1
Willow goes to see Maggie. Girl now is not too late to go back to the village. I would not think less of you. But I know you have the courage to cross. She bends down and kisses the young dwarf on the cheek. She looks back at the tunnel and sets her trembling lips to a grim line I wish i had taken the time to share my secrets with one of the widows. She thinks to herself. Come Jicix, I cant do this without you, you know this. Together the witch and the goat cross the treshold and disapear behind the veil.
Just like a wizard it would behoove a character with use magic device to have a few scrolls available as a contingency. It dosnt cost any xp to the wizard now to write a few scrolls of fly, dimension door (or any other spell really) for the fighter. He dosnt have to sink his WBL into it for it to be worth it. Why must every argument be drawn into extremes? Thats ridiculous. Furthermore, in actual campaing, when was the last time your character actually had exactly the gear you planned on him to have? Wizards almost never have all the spells they crave for (not that theyd be able to memorize half of them) And fighters never have their dream gear either. Its ridiculous to actually bring WBL becauses theres a big difference between optimal built and real play. Of course the fighter isnt a caster and cant be one. You want to play a caster? Take a casting class! A skill is a poor crutch to that. But can he cast the occasional spell using UMD? Yes he can, and if done smartly he can use it to gain incredible advantage in fight. Gaining access to spells with a personal range is extremely useful. The fighter who has flaming shield on is the bane of many an ennemy. Transportation soells too, the fighter who teleports right next to the evil caster and hassles him with his step up and diruptive strike is certainly ruining that guys day and he just did that while the wizard could get his dimensional amnchor out instead of losing the opportunity because he had to buff the fighter. Its a team game, play as a team. Contrary to popular belief there is NO class out there who can fulfill the role of an entire party by himself

Jicix paces nervously, braying, as the massive door disapears into the sills at the ceiling. Willow says a few words of powers and the torches she bears explodes splendidly into life. Cast sparks A moment Gyness. While I admire your spirit of adventure, your enthusiasm can land all of us into a heap of trouble. She gives him a quick impatient glare. She throws the torch into the darkness to see what happens. Perception1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Willow looks as Gyness walks right up to the middle of the room. He may lack in wits but he makes up for it in balls Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Kowus, be a dear and go with Mister Stout. He might need your help Willow and Jicix follow Maggie. Willow looks at the door for any glyphs or runes on it
Female Elf Hedge witch 1
Willow does her best to keep up. Jicix, nervous in the darkness, stays close to the witch. Can any of you see the end of the room?, i know just the spell for this but, silly old me, I forgot to prepare for it this morning. Willow takes one of the torches from Jicix's pack but she wont lit it yet.

Master Thaldrik, could this be a Titan? This does not bode well She looks towards Cleftwood Oh i've a feeling I might never see you again if i walk into this cave. But i must Dont take too much Master Zale. It could be nothing more then religious rubish after all Willow recoils at Gyness's outburst. And now we see the true colors. Oh he is a snake indeed, Better be careful around this one I dont recall insulting any of your gods. To do so would bring credence to them. Magic is what kept my folks in good health. Same magic you do Stout, except I dont claim it comes from your so called Gods. I'll try to leave your convictions out of this, if you be so tender about them I hope that Willow's jabs at religion and Gyness wont bother you guys too much, she hates the gods with a passion but i will tone it down if it bothers anyone

Willow gladly takes Evandrik's help when offered. She takes the opportunity to tell him in a hushed voice
Evandrik:
Dont hold a grudge to Maggie, she was taught by old religious fools. She will come to appreciate you. When Willow sees the dead titan her step falters for just an instant. What in all the hells is this thing She walks up to it and inspects it for signs of Necromancy or unlife, then she tries to recall anything about creatures of this size and discuss them over with Thalrik (aid another) Religion 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 Arcana 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 Nature 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16 Dungeon 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 Planes 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 Lastly she tries remembering when was the last time something like this was seen at all. History 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Willow peers into the cave and after a while the darkness seems to only deepen to her. She listens for a little while Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 If she hears anything, she will suggest going without torches as quietly as possible so as not to reveal the presence of the group, if she dosnt she says. We've got enough armor here to wake up a sleeping dragon. That noise will echo ahead of us and reveal our presence to our foe as much as any light would. Better go in there with the lights on, unless Evan and Kowus want to go see ahead of us.
Between those three, depending on your into and choice of feats Halberd>greatsword>great axe. If you dont take feats to improve your trip attacks and vicious stomp then go for greatsword. Remember that your static damage is much more important then your die damage and the great sword has better critical chance ergo better odds of doubling your static damage. Optimally weapoms with 18-20 will do a lot more damage over the long haul because they do a lot more criticals, especially with keen or improved critical. That dosnt mean you have to take those weapons if you want to have a different flavor.
Female Elf Hedge witch 1
Willow looks at each adventurer for a few second, as if she was weighing their worth with nothing but her eyes. She spits on the ground some foul phlegm and presents herself. Aye, my name be old and forgotten in the winds but here i am know as Willow. I have taken care of Cleftwood and its people since its birth and now I need to protect it. Master Thaldrik your suggestion is wise but precocious. There will be no voting for a leader today. We are strangers still. One of us will no doubt rise to the task but just like with dairy, the cream will float to the top. I'm afraid voting for a leader now will only end in conflict. She looks at Evandrik for a moment. I think he will do, but Maggie isnt ready yet, maybe in time By the feys but you are ugly. She reaches to touch his cheek with a mothers touch Such a pity, such sorrow She goes to replace a stray strand of hair but takes her hand back before. Forgive Maggie, she is young still and knows little of the worth of a man. In a few days im sure she will stop seeing the devil in you. She takes the wand out of her haversack. The elders have been most generous to us this day and have given this wand to us for our quest. It will help heal our wounds. I can use it, who else? She puts the wand in the saddlebag of Jicix This is Jicix, she will be coming with us. If any of you need the wand call her and she will come deliver the wand to you. Willow looks at the buildings around her, the small houses with all of her families inside, the smoke of hearth fire plumeting above. She takes on good last breath, smelling Cleftwood in. Its time for us to go With that said she starts the treck, Jicix bouncing a little ahead of her.
Female Elf Hedge witch 1
Thank you dearie, what is this wand? Curing you say? Well i'll be sure to pass it around, i may not like that fat priest but should something happen to me I trust with this at least he could help me. Willow takes the wand and tucks it into her haversack Where we are going, grim men are needed. Killers are rarely happy men and make no mistake Maggie, that half-orc has killed before but i dont think he would hurt us. I hear he came to hunt the orcs. As for the other two, first impressions are not everything. Best remember that dear. Did I tell you about the fox that has started coming to the house. At first I thought he had rabies but then .... She goes on talking until they reach the caverns
Female Elf Hedge witch 1
Why that little bastard, calling me a fool? i've a half a mind to put him in my knees for a spank Have a good day, young men She says to the elder.
Willow exits the building, calls for Jicix who was grazing nearby and starts trudging her way to destination. If Magnitofera follows her, she bleeds her ears telling her how she wishes she would stop saying Torag so often and how she cant believe that shes going to have to spend so much time with that cleric. It has been a while since Willow has had visit, she talks quite a lot and listens very little.
Female Elf Hedge witch 1
Dont flatter me boy, i'm four hundred and seventy years old she says her age languidly. I know what i look like and i know pretty is not the word for it anymore. Do you think me a blushing maid? As for your drinks, you can keep them for yourself.I dont want them and i dont need them. Willow refuses the glass and gets up and walks to the coughing elder. Take a seat Cassius. Have you been drinking the tea i gave to your wife? Here i got some herbs here, i'll brew you something to soothe yer lungs. Herbalist 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 The secret is a bit of a mix between mint and eucaliptus, you add some long pine needles and you get a good strong drink. There that should help you feel better. If you listen mister Stout you might actualy learn a thing or two about actually helping people She says the last part as snidely as possible

Old Willow has been waiting with the elders for a while now, being a local and feeling incredibly invested in the affair. As they came in she did her best not to judge but when she saw that priest walk in a scowl crept up her face. Oh great, a fat drunk with an imaginary friend, just what we needed. At least he came equipped. But she listens as he asks his question And at least he's got a brain Even so she cant help herself and lashes out Arent you worried of running dry while we are in there? she says pointing at the beer that sits in front of him. She looks at him for an uncomfortable amount of time, hoping to see him squirm. The boy has a point. Anyone of you younglings know your way around the traps that we are certain to find down there?. I can patch up those who are hurt but i dont bring back the dead. As for special equipment I hope the rat slayer brought some silver or killing it is going to be a long time of it. knowledge local 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

I usually stick to playing males but with the role i wanted Willow to have had, i couldnt see her being a man. This kind of selflessness and behavior dosnt lend itself easily (to me) from a man. I think since we are playing using the online medium that i will be easier for me to try to think as a woman since i will have more time to mull my thoughts over before declaring them.
Female Elf Hedge witch 1
Oh wow, i had forgotten that family guy episode. I laughed so hard. Casper, how do you do that stat thing (in gray) underneath your avatar's name? As for tying up background, Willow's background is very much tied to Cleftwood. As such anybody having grown in or around Cleftwood would at least know about her or Willow would know about you. She might have a wrong opinion about someone but thats something we'll just see as the story develop Thalrik has a point about your stat array, its a good advice :-) Lastly I have to say i'm impressed at the international bridge gapping we are doin here. Hi everyone. When i set out to create Willow i was aiming for a standard witch but seing the Hedge-witch archetype inspired me to recreate some kind of mystical medieval old midwife/soothsayer/general practitioner. So there she is as a 470 year old elven woman who takes care of Cleftwood. Willow is old, even for an elf. At 470 years of age you can almost say that you've seen it all, Willow certainly believes she did. Her features show the signs of age. Lines have started to form on her weather worn skiné lines that look like the cracking of dried earth. Her hair once a vibrant green have turned the color of moss and even though she spends a great deal of time outdoors her skin remains the color of clay. She wears many layers of shirt to keep the cold away and a long woolen skirt, covered by a leather apron. Her long hair is usually set in a ball behind her hair with several long strands that reach near her lower back. She smells like moist dirt akin to good earth after a good rain. My name is Olivier, i live in Quebec Canada and am a french Canadian. I am in my late 20's and am a high pressure welder. Been playing for 17 years and even forayed the red box (as a dm). I play RPGs of all kinds and boardgames and like going kayaking with my girlfriend as a means to stay relatively fit (still very doughy unfortunately) statblock::

backstory: Local legend says that before Cleftwood was ever built there was a witch. A witch who had built a shack by a pond underneath the arms of a gigantic willow tree. The legend says that when the founders of Cleftwood came, she showed them where to build so their village could prosper. They say she was there when the first child of Cleftwood was born, that she acted as the midwife. They say that not a child was born without her being present. They say that when the first mayor's son was bit by a snake, that she is the one who saved his life. That she killed the snake and made a strange brew and made him drink it. They say that if you need fortune told, to ask the willow witch. When farmers need to know what to plant this year, Willow knows best, if your cow wont milk or your chicken wont lay, ask Willow. If you cough or you sneeze or your tooth aches, your back ails and your joints swell or just cant get rid of an itch, go see Willow. She wont take a coin, a penny or a shilling but if you want Willow's help you better bring a gift. Sometimes a ham, sometimes a pound of coffee grains or even a good story. They say many a great things about Wise old Willow but they never say her true name for she has never given it. But all know that Willow takes care of Cleftwood and she needs no one's help. Willow has been known to spit on holy symbols and hiss at servants of the faiths. She likes to say that there are no gods and that all who claim to detain powers from above are charlatans and hoaxes. She swears often and tolerates no fools and yet she remains endearing. Willow helps because she can, she helps because its the right thing to do and if she dont help then she just knows they wont do things right. Willow is going after Longtail before he starts infecting her precious Cleftwood with his lycanthropy, she knows she cant bring him down herself so she'll accept to work with those younglings that are going after him. Someone is going to need to patch them up if they run into trouble and she just knows that without her special touch things will just go badly. [/spoiler]
