Male Human Cleric 1

Upon the words of maggie Gyness will slow. and go just eothin view from his light.

I for once agree with old Willow.

Looking at the wizard.

Let them know I can offer healing if they aid us. If they dot speak common that os.

Female Elf Hedge witch 1

Willow looks at Gyness with a sour expression on her face. She purses her lips, scowls and even stretch her jaws before saying. She clears her throat and spits a vilainous glob of phlegm on the ground.

They wont need your "God's" healing. If they need any, they'll have mine

There is something about the way she said the god word, so very filled with scorn.

Male Tiefling Ranger 1

Crone, hold yer tongue, more pressin' concerns be at hand!

He says'crone' much as one would say 'grandma.' Simultaneously respectful and dismissive.

Female Elf Hedge witch 1

I noticed that, its evident in the syntax. No doubt she has been called worst, Willow leaves no one indifferent(except maybe Thaldrik).

half-orc ranger

At the first sign of orcs Kowus raises his bow aiming for their heads waiting for just the right opportunity to release the arrow. At Willows suggestion he grimessed and very reluctantly put his weapon down. Reason ?! With them? That is proposterous ! YOU CANNOT DO THAT! For future cases I will just go on and show you. If I see anyone try to get huggy huggy with them , you will feal the taste of my glaive.

He throws his backpack on the ground and goes towards them angrily with his glaive prepared. Throw your weapons down . We got you surrounded. They will not harm you if you do so... Maybe. he says in orcish.

Intimidate1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

Upon hearing their native tongue, the orcs perk up and listen to Kowus.
[spoiler=Orc (spoken)]Your threats are pointless, death is coming for us as it is. We won't have some human priest or, worse yet, an elf hag giving us aid. You will see what's in here in due time. Only death awaits.[/spoiler

As the orc finishes his last sentence, the other two laugh at the response, the smallest one stifling a cough. They cross their arms and turn away, looking your direction only occasionally, trying indicate a lack of cooperation.

Check the map for A2, let me know if you would like to be moved to a different position. Tried following the descriptions as best I could.

Im fine where I am, those are some mighty large orcs :P

Kowus please ask them to speak Common, surely they speak it...And what did they say?

half-orc ranger

Kowus disregards Thalrik completely and continues in orchish My senses had trully mislead me. I thought I heard orcs but the only thing I see are some scared rabbits. Have you seen your own shadows and ran back to the entrance ? You are not even worth to get my weapon dirty. If you give us the answers we seek we can give you a warrior's death. If not ... you'll have to explain to your god how good you hide under a rock. He switches to Common . What is the creature you ran from? Where is your master?

Magnitofera moves to be next to Kowus, and advancing with him, lending as much "moral support" as she is able.

Thalrik produced an annoyed snort when Kowus ignored him.

I dont have much sense for etiquette, but thats just rude.

He turned away, bringing out the papers to continue reading.

Female Elf Hedge witch 1

Willow takes out her bow, trying to draw as little attention as possible.

Male Tiefling Ranger 1

E9 or E10 please :)

Kowus...my axe is getting anxious. What're they tellin' you?

D13 please

half-orc ranger

Hearing another question related to what they have dscussed, Kowus turned back to the others and replied. These rabbits refused your healing offer. They got content with dieing. Oh, and in case you haven't noticed by now they CAN understand you, but just don't go on and blabber about our escape route, I don't want them fleeing out and terrorizing that village.

C12 please

Female Elf Hedge witch 1

Willow beckons to Kowus and Evandrik to come to her and whispers to them

Anyone huddling to Willow:

Three yellow orcs hardly make a raiding party. But just to be sure, we should take their weapons or break them

Male Tiefling Ranger 1

whispering to Willow:
I am more interested in their rations.

half-orc ranger

Kowus draws closer to the witch to avoid the keen hearing of the orcs.

whispering to Willow and Evandrik:
Why wasn't this our first plan?! Well, I guess that now it's a bit too late, I just told them to use them.
He laughs at the situation they were in.
I guess he would be in D10 now.

Magnitofera stays to keep watch over the orcs. If they try to grab their weapons, she will attack them.

Female Elf Hedge witch 1

whisper:
Boys! Are we so desperate already as to do such a thing? Shame on you Evandrik. No we need them to surrender their weapons, i would have them swear to leave Cleftwood alone but I cannot trust these beasts. Would have been simpler had they just attacked us.

Male Tiefling Ranger 1

whisper:
thought you meant break the orcs not the weapons! Lol
We get information out of them, we disarm them, and we take three quarters of their rations. There are eight of us in this room now.

The orcs notice Willow reaching for her bow, and catch Maggie approaching in a defensive stance. They all seem to turn towards each other, slowly reaching for their weapons. They whisper something in orcish.

Kowus - Perception DC 15:
Grab your weapons and attack the stunted one. No woman is going to stand against orcs.

half-orc ranger

Seams they are in mood of a fight. Stop them from getting their weapons! He rushes for the weapon of the closest orc and hits it hard with his glaive on the side throwing it hard away from the orc in Gyness's direction.

You might want to arm yourself. he says to the Maggie in a calm voice. They seam to like you.

So you finally decided to make your move. Picking on the defenseless, as usual. Should have killed you the moment I set my eyes on your wretched faces. Let's see how you handle one of your own size.

Male Human Cleric 1

Confused at the activity that seems to have sprang forward Gyness pulls his rapier and readies an action to attack any orc that approaches.

what has happened why is this now a battle.

Male Tiefling Ranger 1

Clearly, Kowus has a way with orcs.

Female Elf Hedge witch 1

To be clear I only rolled my attack and damage because i knew i'd be away most of the day. I didnt want my absence to lag the game. Its a readied action vs first orc that rises with weapon in hand. If they dont do that there wont be an attack. Thank you for compiling the damage for me, i have a DM that only counts the bonuses but I think its a house rule. Also total damage would then be 5 (6+1+1-3=5) or 7 if you count the str penalty only once

Male Human Cleric 1

if a minus is done on each roll with a min of 1 pt damage your two 1-1 =1 so it would be 5+1+1= 7. But that is just my thought.

Yep, the fact you rolled two ones practically cancels out 2 points of Str minus...fancy that, rolling low overcoming a penalty -.-

Male Tiefling Ranger 1

Sorry, just assumed the minimum 1 damage was per roll, not grand total attack (otherwise what is the point of most tiny & smaller creatures critting at all?

Evandrik feels like an eternity passes in the space of a moment. Adrenaline courses as the uncertainty solidifies into a course of action. Will the orcs lose spirit? Get lucky and end our quest before it starts? Die needlessly over Kowus' words? Such thoughts flood Evandrik's mind in a flash, and are instantly gone, replaced by the calm of battle and the resolve of protecting Thalrik.

The group commissioned by the people and elders of the town crossed this portal, obeying the quest they where commissioned. If we don't return, please remember us.
