I may have gone a bit overboard with my fluff I started writing and didn't stop...

Fluff:
Ogren wasn't always called Ogren in fact he wasn't always a tiefling either. Ogren was originally a man named Mike born under the right alignment of stars to be incredibly lucky. From a very young age he had excelled in everything he did both sports and academic. Everyone who met Mike loved and respected him always helping him and wanting him to succeed in life.

Mike’s only real flaw was that he always had somewhat of a temper but it was something that he learned to control early on and it wasn't as if his having a temper was that different from any other young man. Mike always seemed to be perfect at everything with no real effort and there really wasn't that much effort on his part. While in school something that Mike always loathed because of how boring it was he taught himself to forge his parents signatures to get himself out of going to school.

One day after getting himself and his friends out of class by forging his and his friends parent’s signatures they were out playing in the forest they stumbled upon an old abandoned graveyard. In the graveyard they saw a symbol that was foreign to them on every grave. One that Mike would learn is really the (un)holy symbol of The Dark lord Asmodeus. Mike went home and asked his parents about the grave and the symbol. His parents after hearing the story told Mike to never return to the graveyard as it was a dangerous place.

Naturally being a 16 year old boy Mike returned to the graveyard along with his friends who all received the same warning but none of whom were told why to keep away. After spending time in the graveyard they eventually found a man one day who was looking at one of the graves. Despite being the only time town for miles and a small town where they knew everyone this man was stranger to them.

Mike went up to the man and asked him if he was mourning someone. The man thought for a moment and said “Yes I’m mourning the loss of my Lord...he was a great lord who many respected and revered but unfortunately his time was cut short because of an usurper.” The boys thought this was sad and gave the man his condolences. After talking to him for a bit he told them that he was camping out and would be around for the next couple of days. He said if they would talk to them he would be willing to give them a present as thanks. The boys all liked the idea and would have been willing to spend time with the man just to talk as they didn't meet many travelers.

Over the next 5 or so days they got to know the old man pretty well and the old man got to know them. He also became aware of Mike’s incredible luck hearing of the various near death experiences he’s had and the how things just seemed to fall into place for him. On the last day that the man was to be in the area Mike and his friends went to the graveyard to wish him off and see what this gift was. When they showed up the man somehow looked aged and withered almost as if he’d started to decay. Mike and his friends approached the old man to see what was wrong but that wound up being their mistake. They were all frozen in place once they got near him some sort of spell stopped them in their tracks. The man then went up to each of Mike’s friends and cast a curse upon them transforming them into grotesque creatures that would ravage the lands and village near by killing their friends and family’s. After all of his friends were transformed and sent to destroy their loved ones the old man turned to Mike.

He said “Mike I am what’s known as a Lich and the lord that I am mourning is Asmodeus or as you may know him the dark one. I am doing his work and giving him back the power he deserves. Your friends will be used as mindless puppets but you I will place a stronger curse upon. You shall keep your mind but it will be forever twisted. Your body through normal now will grow deformed and of the lineage of the dark one granting you great power. And your incredible luck I will replace with the power of unlife so you may be closer to what I am in power.” The old man began to cast a curse upon Mike to turn him into a devil-spawn tiefling however in one final burst of luck Mike broke free before the ritual was complete. Mike retained some of his luck and while he was a tiefling he was not of Devil lineage. His mind however was changed forever. The old man left with a smile on his face knowing he had succeeded but there was also sadness in his eyes as he knew it was not what he intended for it to be.

Mike forgot his name and found one in his mind “Ogren” it was the name of a monster in a book he once read, a fitting name given his new body. After that he wandered down the familiar path to his town. Everyone had been killed and the creatures his friends had turned into were feasting on everyone’s remains. Ogren felt no remorse at this loss not even when he saw the corpse of his parents being eaten. Ogren approved of the destruction but knew that this wasn't the way to fight back. He knew that he would have to destroy them from the inside out.

Ogren forged a letter using the skills he knew but he wasn't sure how he knew them. Most of his memories were lost. Ogren forged a letter that looked as if it were sent from the head of house Darius. The letter was to the head’s son and described the ways they made a pact with demons to overthrow Asmodeus and their worship of Mitra was nothing but a ruse to obtain power. This letter was “intercepted” and received by many newspapers some of which ran the letter. Ogren was too prideful in his forgery and left a single discerning mark that was able to identify him in the letter. Though the existence of the letter caused some damage the the house of Darius’s reputation it wasn't enough to truly bother them beyond making a personal statement and convicting Ogren’s guilt. Sentenced to life in the salt mines Ogren’s skin was cut open and a cool sapphire was used to make his brand. Causing him to bear a harsh contrast to his skin that stands out in any situation.

Zadaal after seeing the elf cast some sort of magic but unable to tell what it is casts a magic of his own. He casts detect good on everyone and everything in the room to see what his potential new allies or perhaps enemies radiate. After determining that no one within the group radiates good he lets out a sigh of relief and then introduces himself.

hello I am Zadaal do any of you know why we are here or what that thing in the center of this...room is?

I'm not expecting to use it at all honestly I'm taking the three levels for unholy resistance (cha to saves) and being able to make everything shaken and sickened thanks to enforcer and crulety. I should have my PC up for inspection by Tuesday for you. I've done a lot of high level play and already had Ogren pretty much mapped out so I know what I'm doing with him.

The only other thing I'm thinking about doing is taking 1 level of Master of many styles. Don't worry though I won't be using it with pummeling style.

Just in case, how would the lot of you be interested in starting another campaign? Although, word of warning, it'd be rather high in level and very linear but still with choice.
Honestly? I've never played beyond 10th level. I only ever plan characters out to level 12 or so and most of the games here on the boards are APs that die out before hitting level 2. So I'd be interested if you can sell me on a fun story.

As someone who's done a lot of high level play I just want to let you know that creating a high level character from scratch can be very overwhelming so I'd suggest starting with a very simple concept with a small amount of options rather than choosing something like a caster who has a million and one choices.

I say this because it's very easy to forget what all you can do since you have so many options and if you try to do to many things you end up spending gold on things you don't need to. As an example I had a buddy who created a two weapon fighting guy whoa also had a +3 bow...his main weapons were both +2.

I'm up for a new game run either at the same time or instead of. I prefer High Level stuff personally. And if worse comes to worse I can jump on here to be the GM and I have a buddy who was interested in the Game but wasn't picked who'd probably be interested. He's run through the first book before as GM but he's good at separating Meta knowledge.

All that being said I'd prefer BGGM were to come back because I've enjoyed his DMing style.

I'm heading out to work soon so I'm going to post my round 3 actions.

Assuming that Bill doesn't have anything else in his hand as a move action Ogren picks up the club that Bill dropped on the floor. If Bill does have something in his hand that he can attack Ogren with he doesn't pick it up.

Ogren again attacks using non-lethal damage attempting to knock out Bill.

to hit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Corpus thank-you for helping us with Bill I'm not sure what's wrong with him but we will find out together

Can a Brawler using Pummeling Style use a Trip, Sunder, or Disarm Combat Maneuver while using Pummeling Style?

PRD wrote:

Brawler's Flurry (Ex): Starting at 2nd level, a brawler can make a brawler's flurry as a full-attack action. When doing so, a brawler has the Two-Weapon Fighting feat when attacking with any combination of unarmed strikes, weapons from the close fighter weapon group, or weapons with the "monk" special feature. She does not need to use two different weapons to use this ability.

A brawler applies her full Strength modifier to her damage rolls for all attacks made with brawler's flurry, whether the attacks are made with an off-hand weapon or a weapon wielded in both hands. A brawler can substitute disarm, sunder, and trip combat maneuvers for unarmed attacks as part of brawler's flurry. A brawler with natural weapons can't use such weapons as part of brawler's flurry, nor can she make natural weapon attacks in addition to her brawler's flurry attacks.

At 8th level, the brawler gains use of the Improved Two-Weapon Fighting feat when using brawler's flurry. At 15th level, she gains use of the Greater Two-Weapon Fighting feat when using brawler's flurry.

PRD wrote:
As a full-round action, you can pool all your attack potential in one devastating punch. Make a number of rolls equal to the number of attacks you can make with a full attack or a flurry of blows (your choice) with the normal attack bonus for each attack. For each roll that is a hit, you deal the normal amount of damage, adding it to any damage the attack has already dealt from previous rolls (if any). If any of the attack rolls are critical threats, make one confirmation roll for the entire attack at your highest base attack bonus. If it succeeds, the entire attack is a confirmed critical hit.

Assuming that I can use a Combat Maneuver as part of my Pummeling Style attack. If I were to roll a Natural 20 would I be allowed to confirm that roll to make my entire attack a critical even though I can't technically crit on a Trip or Disarm attempt?

Bill please don't let Corpus kill our friends, our allies they're all I have in this world. I'll just try to knock him out so we can talk some sense into him when he wakes up later

Ogren gets up as a move action provoking an AOO from Corpus then goes in to attack hoping that the stiffness in his muscles has finally left him. Also if Paimon succeeded in his tumble check I would be flanking with him correct?

I'm attacking with Non-lethal damage to go with my ruse.

damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

I just noticed that I should be doing 1d6+3 not 1d6+4. Sorry I forgot to change that when I changed Dex to my focus I guess it was a good thing I missed those times huh?

I attack the guard that was dazed not the one that was charmed

This is the original text from the APG I got it off the PRD which hasn't been updated.

wording:

PRD wrote:
Brass Knuckles: These close combat weapons are designed to fit comfortably around the knuckles, narrowing the contact area and therefore magnifying the amount of force delivered by a punch. They allow you to deal lethal damage with unarmed attacks. You may hold, but not wield, a weapon or other object in a hand wearing brass knuckles. You may cast a spell with a somatic component while wearing brass knuckles if you make a concentration check (DC 10 + the level of the spell you're casting). Monks are proficient with brass knuckles and can use their monk unarmed damage when fighting with them

The problem with using the window now is that we will be putting a hole in the side of the building that is quite obvious. I fear a guard will see it, blow the horn before we can get down, and we will be taken on the spot. I believe we should jump the guards now with the combined strength of us and Grumblejack. If we can surprise them I think we can get them both before they can blow their horn we'll have on of our casters open the door and the rest of us martial fighters will charge in and drop them before they can eve react. Don't use magic unless you have to we should try to preserve it for as long as possible.

Next we should wait for a shift change and drop the next set of guards. I've been keeping track of faces or at least trying to and I don't believe there are that many guards (Can I/we do some sort of check to see if I can recall how many guards I've seen since coming in?).

After we drop those two I think we can take the rest out a couple at a time. I would like to get revenge on the fat guardsman (said with anger this is the first time you've heard anger in Ogren's otherwise monotone voice.) Remember after we escape here we have to travel through the marshes. That is no easy task we need tobe well stocked. This place is also somewhat big and they won't be able to get someone here in the next day or so if we have to spend one day here resting I think we can swing it.

Finally before we do any of that we need to do 2 things first I would like to take 1 hour and I'm sure Zaul would as well to make a mutagen to bolster my strength. Second we must vote on what we will do. we will all cast one vote for each plan and whichever one wins it out is how we will proceed.

Ogren having said his piece gets a smile on his face as he starts to make his mutagen of strength. He looks like a kid who has just discovered the wonders of chemistry still learning and enjoying the concoctions and reactions he can make.

I have a question. BGGM what is your take on Brass knuckles? In the original text they scaled in damage as a monk or in this case brawler's unarmed strike if you had it. However in the errata it doesn't say that it does that amount of damage. If you want I can get you the exact text of the pre errata and the current one

Male Half-Orc Brawler (Mutagenic Mauler) 1 (hp:13/13-8NL) | Initiative:6 | AC:14/14/10 | F:5 R:6 W:2 | Perception:4 {Darkvision 60'}

If we wait for the Guards to come to us only one will come and the pother will wait to blow his horn as we've seen in the past. Also if Grumblejack were to be released that would be cause for a horn alarm as well.

I think our best course of action is to attack the two guards stationed in the room over there (room 20 on the map) That way we have the element of surprise and we can hopefully stop them from blowing the horn on us. After we defeat them we should lay in wait for a shift change and take out those two guards. After that however our escape will be obvious as the previous two guards haven't shown up. After that we should see if there is some way to bottle neck them and force them to come in one at a time into the room so we can destroy them as easily as possible. If there isn't a way to bottle neck them we will have to find an armory, an alchemist's kit or two, and be prepared for a brawl the likes of which not even I have seen. And I've done quite a bit of pit fighting in the past.

Oh and Mr.Grumblejack my name is Ogren it is a pleasure to meet you. I hope we can work well together in our escape.

Did the disable device check on Carnadine work with a 19? And what sort of armor did the guards seem to wearing?

Ogren is shocked at the Oger's ability to speak, however he is also pleased to not have a savage bruit to deal with but rather someone that can be reasoned with.

Hello Grumblejack I apologize for my earlier statement I assumed that you weren't going to be able to be reasoned with. I shan't make that mistake again. If you wish to help us it would be most welcomed with all of us fighting together there is nothing we couldn't defeat. Perhaps after we escape this cell I can buy you a drink of ale? I have no money at the moment but I'm sure I can scrape up some cash on our way out. For now though we must all remain as silent as possible good sir as stealth will be of great importance at the moment.

Doctor please free us from these bindings. After that we shall equip ourselves with what we have avalible and defeat those two guards standing post.

Once they are defeated we can save the Oger.I fear if we try to release him now too much noise will be made and the guards will be able to alert the others this will require stealth above all else.

Perhaps after we defeat these two guards we could wait for the next two to show up for a shift change?

Ogren's eagerness to be free is becoming more and more apparent. It appears he is excited for something beyond that. He appears to be excited that he will be able to expose the weakness of this pitiful government by escaping the inescapable prison brandscar.

Were both of the guards in our cell when they were giving us food? If so I'm going to suggest we pretend to be shackled and when they come to feed us again that's when we jump them otherwise we should free the Oger and attack ASAP.

Note this is said in a wisper as to not alert the guards. This is also all said to everyone who will listen the Ogren.

Hah that's quite the lover you have there sir I'm curious as to how she was able to get that item beyond the guard. Blackerly is a bigger fool than I thought I guess maybe he hasn't figured out my beliefs. So now we have a means but no plan. What shall we do?

Assuming we can get out of these shackles with that man's (reffering to paimon) skills how are we going to fight our way out?

I am adept at hand to hand combat can anyone here produce magic? And what of those blades in the scarf can someone use those?

Finally that foul smelling ogre next to us if we were to break free and kill the guards would we want to free him as well? Does anyone think they can convince him to help? I am usually not a fan of Ogers however at the moment beggers can't be choosers now can they?

And finally assuming that we can escape here who can lead us to this fine party we have been invited to? I have spent some time in the wilderness in the past but I am no expert in finding my way I got to a city by mere luck and time.

Ogren who has been trying to get out since the start is even more excited about the idea now that a means has been presented to him. Finally he turns to the diviner and says

this is what being faithful gives you. This is no doubt a gift from my divine lord telling me I am to escape and my quest of changing this land was a holy one indeed I am still of use to him. And at the moment we all still need eachother so I ask again please help in your escape so we may live to do what we please.

And you sir what is your name? I am Ogren.

Also I see no reason why i shouldn't admit my faith what will they do? I am already deemed to die and if they have not figured out who I worship already from my actions they are greater fools than I thought.

Now back to the task at hand what skills do you all have that will allow us to escape? I am formidable with my fists and if I can get my hands on an alchemy kit I am able to bolster my strength.

After saying that Ogren attempts to slip out of his chains with an escape artist check assuming that the guards are still out of the room.

escape artist: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

No problem. I'll have it up around 6 or so tonight when I get off work

Ogren chuckles to himself and gets a look of embarrassment on his face before regaining his stern look. I apologize I intended for us all to escape together. My youth in the Orc encampment has made self preservation a part of who I am at my core.

Then turning he says I do but as I assume you know our lord is to him this is just a test if we can not do what has not been done before what use are we to him?

Male Half-Orc Brawler (Mutagenic Mauler) 1 (hp:13/13-8NL) | Initiative:6 | AC:14/14/10 | F:5 R:6 W:2 | Perception:4 {Darkvision 60'}

Finally regaining consciousness after falling asleep and seeing the food placed in front of him Ogren devours the meal happy to have something in his weary body.

With his mouth still full Ogren says I was caught for High Treason. All I did was try and show the world who their leaders really are and because of that I'm forsaken. I guess The Fal...No I don't have to hide it anymore. I guess Asmodeus the divine is right in his teachings might makes right.

After finishing his meal he pulls on his chains to test the strength casts a sigh of dismay and says I spy with my little eye 5 allies who can help in my/our escape. What do you all say?

Male Half-Orc Brawler (Mutagenic Mauler) 1 (hp:13/13-8NL) | Initiative:6 | AC:14/14/10 | F:5 R:6 W:2 | Perception:4 {Darkvision 60'}

Hey guys I appreciate the vote and can't wait to take over this country of fools. I live in FL, USA so I'm in eastern as well.

I've updated Ogren with Profession (body guard) and craft (armor) along with a sentence explaining why he took up craft armor.

It has to do with him wanting to perfect his own body and defenses without the help of anyone else

Oh and I was wondering are we allowed to use the agile weapon property? It allows you to deal dex damage with a weapon that you have weapon finesse for. It is a 1 enhancement bonus.

Back Story:
Ogren was raised by orcs on the outskirts of a forest he doesn't know the name of. His mother was the Orc's play thing for her entire bleak life, one that Ogren doesn't speak of. Ogren was the runt of the litter for the half orcs which put him on not only the bottom of the totem pole as far as the Orc's were concerned, but also the other Half-Orcs. As a resalt he received regular beatings from not only the Orcs in his tribe but also from his "brothers" as he was someone they could all take his frustrations out on. Ogren normal days were spent mostly unconsious, beaten phiysically, or eating what little scraps he could to survive. The Orcs regularly forced him into unfair fights to the death where he was forced to fight with nothing but his fists while his opponents had weapons made of glass or crudely made daggers. This caused Ogren to learn to fight not only dirty and his fists but also with his mind.

Ogren was a weird kid in the orc tribe always thinking that this chaos was not how it should be but rather there should be some sort of order in place. He was also the only child who cared for his "mother" or at least who he thought was his mother as there were too many of the play things to be sure. His mother was forced to do unspeakable things and he was often forced to watch because it amused the Orcs to see him cry. His mother in a rare moment of clarity and while alone with Ogren said she would help him escape. She instructed Ogren to grab the key off the wall unlock her and she would run out and cause a distraction he was to run North to the closest city and find a monastery to take care of him. As she kissed her son goodbye and ran into the camp letting him escape he ran North as he was instructed. Once he was on top of a hill about a mile out he turned in hopes he would see his mother. Unfortunately he did he saw her head severed and her body being used as if it were still there. Ogren ran crying vowing to get his revenge on these chaotic monsters.

Ogren found a monastery after about a week travailing on the lands. It was in a small town not found on most maps. Once he was let into the monastery and they found he could fight with his fists he was trained in the ways of the monk. However he did not do well Ogren enjoyed the structure he was not familiar with but disagreed with the way everyone acted so honest and friendly it bothered him. A combination of this and not wanting to conform to the style of fighting the monks instructed him in but rather use his own style formed by his pit fights he was kicked out of the monastery. This was when he 14 or so a year after he was admitted into it.

Ogren spent the next couple of years of his life doing work as security at different bars and events to make ends meets using nothing but his fists and wits to control the crowds. However he always felt like an outsider not because of his race which was accepted although weirly he didn't agree with the way people acted they were so honest and good while he believed that deception and manipulation were the only ways to move up in the world.

Ogren wanted to learn more about "The Fallen" and did research on him and found how he would like the world to be one as if it were ruled by this man...no this divine being Asmodeus. Ogren went on to try and change the world to fit this mans ideals. However he knew it would not be easy so he tried to control people with fear to control them. He would use his skills of manipulation both of documents and of his intentions to get information over guards of estates. His goal was to try and show the world of the terrible deeds that the members of the Talingarde government does. This was his downfall one of the guards he thought he was controlling was in fact manipulating him. When he was getting important papers form a nobleman's house he was attacked on all sides and arrested on the spot. His crime High Treason on grounds of attempting to overthrow the crown.

Purpose:
Ogren's purpose is simple revenge, order, and bodily perfection. He wants revenge on those chaotic monsters that attacked and killed his "mother" as well as having the world bent to his whims through manipulation. He wishes not to be the face of the ruler but be in the shadows one of the real rulers of this world that manipulates everything and secretly eradicates those who go against him in any way whether that be through belief or action.

Apperance:
Ogren is surprisingly short standing just at 5ft tall. He has long black hair and a very well maintained beard. On Ogren there are various tattoos on his body that appear to be just random triangles however if anyone takes the time to trace them together these tattoos that are sacred to Ogren make the shape of a pentagram the unholy symbol of his deity Asmodeus.

This is Ogren before allocating the two skill points once my question above has been confirmed they will be placed.
