Female Spooky

"We all just gonna leave that thing hanging there?" Sara checks the radio isn't transmitting their conversation to who know's where and listens at it for a moment. There seemed to be someone on it a while ago.

Female Spooky

"If you're shifting around do you think you need backup Jessica? I ain't got the brute force, nor the fancy gadgets to help much out here, and I don't mind a bit of risk if I happen to go missing."
Sara smiles at the girl, even if she wielded a flaming sword she seemed a little young for all this.

Female Spooky

Sarah's not a sniper, her trust shotgun isn't good at long range, she'll be hidden someone fairly close.

Sarah pops up, unloading the shotgun as soon as one's close enough for a reasonable shot.
Kick Some Ass; close; 3 harm; messy: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 4) + 1 = 6
Awesome, how how bad is it?, I get an XP at least

Female Spooky

Sarah unloaded her shotgun and loaded in some 'special' shells her grandfather showed her how to make. Not always reliable, but should hopefully burn these things, or at least hurt them a little more.

Sarah's brand of non-magical looking magic, shotgun shells loaded with a 7 unique herbs and spices Use Magic - enchant a weapon: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 6) + 2 = 14

Female Spooky

Sarah taps on her standard, utilitarian shotgun. "Yeah, yeah, impressive swords and whatever, let's go." Sarah considers tucking the shotgun back under her coat, but it seems somewhat superfluous at this point.

Female Spooky

"Paranoid much?" Sarah swallows down the last forkfull of cheesecake, "Fine, let's go take a stroll."

Female Spooky

Sarah peered at the phone, she had her own ways of 'gathering intel' but she'd just as soon leave that nightmare for another time. She carried on digging into her cheesecake. It took more than a little blood to put her off her food.

Female Spooky

Sarah gives a little wave, "Yeah, go team" I don't even know what Lacrosse is?

Female Spooky

"I'm sure the waitress here isn't really interested in the games we play." Sarah smiled, in her experience normal folk tended to just be relieved someone else was handling it. Still he was probably right. She looked over as the girl returns, she didn't seem human but some mostly dormant vaguely maternal instinct compelled her to speak "You okay darlin'? Looking a little peaky there. Kavax ain't as scary as he looks I can assure you."
That's not quite true... Kavax is plenty as scary as he looks, but he was on our side, so that was probably a good thing

Female Spooky

To the Lady
"Black Coffee, strong as you can, and... uh. A piece of that too." she waves at the cheesecake

Others
She smiled up at Kavax as she recognised his presence. "Whatever powers guide us bringing out the big guns for this one eh?"

Female Spooky

Sarah looks calm, but her hand quietly moves into her jacket while she appraises the newcomer, she ain't attacking or causing trouble and seems to know Carlos.
Fair enough, "Sarah, um, hi yourself."

Female Spooky

Sarah took in the sights, frowning a little as she saw the man entering the diner, he looked familiar. A lot of folks looked familiar from time to time, but there was usually a good reason for it. May as well head on over.
She walked right over and sat down by him, nodding, ... I know you right, were you with me with the zombies a couple of years back?" she spoke loudly enough to be confident, but quiet enough the waitress wasn't likely to overhear.

Female Spooky

Do we only have a vehicle if a playbook says so? It only really seems to give out weapons and armor from scanning through them.

Female Spooky

Well, Sarah just gets self-destructive as she runs out of luck. Wait, does that make me the expendable one?

Okay Jerry that works, Sarah's got a great habit of turning up at just the wrong moment, a while back she walked right into a bloodsucker lair you were staking out. And if you weren't paying attention she'd have a lot more than just the bite marks and scars.

I also like Kavax' suggestion, when the nightmare's on your side it makes everything a little easier. Though she probably thought you were just a hallucination, or some freak manifestation of her abilities when we first met...

Captain Rose. Grand-daddy was involved with the Adelets when he was Sarah's age, she doesn't know why he left or the details of what he did, but they must have kept a watch on him, Rose approached Sarah when she took over his role, but she'd rather not be a hunter on demand, though she's happy to work together.

Thing is, links like this can take minutes to forge in an IRL game, but need a bit of back and forth in this format.

I'll hold off on developing bonds until we have a full spread of characters read though.

Okay, Spinningdice/Sarah O'Callaghan here.
Profile's a bit of a mess, 'cause I suck at formatting but, here I am.

Possible Link's

From others writeups:
Jessica Andrews Sarah is a good person, she spends most of her time on the edge of the Abyss but she still does what's right, a moralistic Fury trying to keep her on the path is probably about right for her screwed up life.

Carlos Luis Garcia We're a similar brand of slightly supernatural screw-ups. Could see a few ways to be linked,
Dark Secrets could be something Sarah's uncovered from her grandfather's journals
Help with an item, Sarah's family specialises in dealing with the dead, a ghosts' veil doesn't sound implausible.
Life saving/getting me out of trouble: Sarah does have a dive-in attitude that lands her in trouble a lot. While she rarely asks she won't turn down help that's offered.

My own Connections:
Blood-Kin: Sara's a mix of Irish and African-American primarily, though as outsiders and pretty dysfunctional they've never been too fussy about the people that tolerate them. While as far as she's aware the gift hasn't manifested on any of her many cousins, it's not unfeasible she's related to some other hunters.

Married/Relationship: If someone can put up with Sarah's issues and mess of a life, then she'd be quite happy to keep them around. She does tend to drive away most of her lovers after a while though. Maybe a recent ex would be more interesting?

Friends before powers - now distant: It's not set in stone, but I envisage Sarah with powers since early teens at the latest. If someone wants to be a childhood friend I've since mostly cut contact with them sounds good.

Someone can help me control my powers?: Sarah wouldn't give up her powers, even if she doesn't think of them as such. She can do too much good in the world to give up the tools to do it. But if someone do something about the nightmares ('specially the waking ones) she'd be in their debt. Or if they could give her an edge, so she might live another day, save another life.

Female Spooky

"Since hikers have been one of the primary targets, perhaps it would be wise to emulate them, and use our God-given feet to move around the area?" O'Callaghan smiles at the others.

Female Spooky

Eh, why not, I've not built towards combat much though.

Female Spooky

"Oh I don't know, it seems alright to me. So we deal with the cases less important than apocalypses, seems like there is still the opportunity to do a great deal of good here."

Female Spooky

O'Calligan smirks a little, "So I take it you're not recruiting, do you just need some additional... contractors then?"

Female Spooky

O'Callaghan smiles warmly and nods as he's introduced to Carol, but is otherwise content to see how the situation unfolds.

Female Spooky

Know:History: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Wild Dice: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Obviously not a war historian

Female Spooky

O'Callaghan's content to listen to the others ask questions, unlike some of the others he is a patient man.

Female Spooky

O'Callaghan takes some of the balloons and follows the lady into the office.
"Not quite the tasks the missive led us to believe we'd be undertaking. But I can't complain."

Female Spooky

"Come now, I suggest we are all here because we try to hold back the darkness, while I will continue the fight regardless, having both money and support is welcome. I am Father O'Callaghan." his voice is rich and friendly.

Female Spooky

Okay, I've posted, still need to check over and get some gear...

Female Spooky

O'Callaghan pulls up, his car non-descript, his long coat covering most of his clothing, though heavy boots can be seen beneath.

He seems at once at ease, yet... aware.

He walks quietly towards the building...
