Nute mutters a few words under his breath and Jrahk doubles in sizes. Gru attempts to smash into the wasp that hit him with his huge fists.

Well he has a mask of stony demeanor so that helps out.
The pile of flesh in the corner picks this time to get up and come over. He stand a good 2 1/2 feet taller than the tallest person in the tavern and he has four tree trunk-esque arms. His heavy fists crackle with little jolts of electricity. His face is completely devoid of features except for Three enormous eyes. Two where they should be and the third where a mouth normally goes. "And this, is Gru. Say hello Gru." Gru waves shyly at Ace and tilts his head to the left.

You just need to know when to tell the truth, and when to stretch it. Here, watch. Nute grabs a stool and hops up onto it. He addresses the whole tavern now. "AHEM! Hello ladies and gentlemen, it has come to my attention that you don't realize that you were just saved by a living legend Jrahk the Great! This man here is a pirate lord, he defeated the naga, who it may have slipped your attention were going to kill you all." Nute continues to regal them with the tales of Jrahk and his crew. All lies of course. Bluff: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (19) + 19 = 38 +24 -10 because it is a far-fetched lie +5 because the targets are drunk/impaired. EDIT: ninja-ed by Slick.

As the patrons all turn away and grumble a small man in a tricorn and a worn leather overcoat detaches himself from the group and comes over to Jrahk. "Personally I thought you handled that quite well. I was about send Gru over there but there was no need." He gestures over at a massive ball of flesh in the corner. Upon closer inspection it appears to be a humanoid, one with to many limbs but mostly humanoid looking. "I thought I'd let him sleep, he's had a long day. The names Nute by the way, Nute the Luckless some call me in jest." The tiny halting extends a thin little hand out towards the orc. "And you are? You notice that as the halfling speaks his expression doesn't change at all, it stays in what you can only assume is his straight face, although he still has a sort of half smile. |
