Supreme Being wrote: You guys kill me wanting to use "The internet" to solve all your issues. You're adventurers. Pretend you're the crew of the Enterprise and need to take a shuttle down to the surface of the planet and look around yourselves. It wouldn't be a fun adventure if you sit in your comfortable chair and watched everything happen on a screen!!!
We've got a simple task here. Go talk to the Dr. and the cook and we can't agree on the order to do that. One wants the cook, one wants the Dr. and one is apparently following you both somehow.
Apparently, I'm doing a terrible job of giving you the information you need to move forward without railroading you.
:-)
Wanting to use the internetsphere to solve all of THE PARTY'S issues, yeah, yet the real life infosphere site that could solve real life problems that has over 250 million active monthly real life users with a real life uptime rating of 99.9% is ... ephemeral.
So maybe the "terrible job" isn't all you SB ;)
Will hang on for dear life in the caboose.
Ready for the railroad!
"Sorry Captain, lost in thought, well and The Sphere, well ... prayer too."
N'than's smile is fairly sheepish, for N'than
"N'than, Techno ... and Chosen of Triune. At your service."
At the moment I am here and it seems like I might be able to post.
I am wildly in favor of moving to Discord ...
or if there is actually a cut we need to distro, then shopping could happen and Dorsheen could get their 2nd gun
Dosheen-45 wrote: "After searching the Absalom weapon vendors, it turns out I can't afford a new weapon. I'm actually rather impoverished," Dosheen-45 says with a resigned tone of voice. He pats the arc pistol in its holster. "I wanted another firearm the next time we encounter trouble. I will stay satisfied with this and my crossbolter." "Listening as carefully as I could, I feel that my takeaway is that you'd feel like more of a badass with another arc pistol, right? Sooooooo let's make that happen. Let's go shopping. 'Cause magic and the love of Triune don't run out, and I can loan you a few credits if it makes you a badass. We can probably afford lunch too. Let's go."
N'than continues to move toward DL3/Malaku in an attempt to close the casting gap.
◆ MOVE
◆◆ CAST: Electric Arc @ DL3 DMG=2d4 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4 (basic REF)
N'than uses his one action to move towards the Drift Leaches on the other side of the hull.
ok, feeling caught up here, on to Gameplay ...
N'than was feeling ... literally not quite all there. He'd 'drifted' before, and it was considered a gift for The Chosen, at the moment though, it didn't feel like a gift. It felt like having been hit by a grav field after falling from a hover bike. He was gald to have drifted back. He knew there were things to do. He'd seen it from the Drift.
◆ SUIT UP I
◆ SUIT UP II
◆ MOVE (Towards ship's exterior)
Dosheen-45 wrote: Please roleplay Dosheen-45 for the next few days. My dad's health took a sharp decline yesterday. Thinking of you Dorsheen :(
"Let me help with that, the boredom I mean ... may I introduce Captain Vegoia Reisora, representing EJ Corp, to discuss the transfer of cargo."
That was totally it ... because it isn't worth anything to normal people if it isn't speced for normal people. Just seemed like a way to make lighter work of what could be a big task too, tooling around finding the place.
"Captain? Did you want to use my hoverbike? To be honest, I could come with you, and look for Ka Imports at the same time as I was looking for a buyer to take it off my hands ..."
You can slot N'than in to D
Tarika's message was, at best, inauspicious.
Certainly not upbeat anyway.
N'than began researching their landing options ...
COMP: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 Infosphere check on Akiton Spaceport Facilities
SOC: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 to recall sociocultural norms 'of concern' on Akiton
Supreme Being wrote: Anybody interested in posting and continuing this game? Hey SB?
I am really sorry; I made the same committment as everyone else, to post every day, and I didn't. I'm sorry. But I had your Akiton post up here on my laptop, and I kept refreshing it thinking the captain or someone would say something about our landing approach. In my head, N'than isn't much more than a stray they picked up at the moment ...
But I'm still sorry I didn't follow through on our posting committment, that's on me.
N'than pours over the control knowing he should be able to jack this bike in no time.
It's a hoverbike ... even if some hyperindustrious gobo actually took the time to mod the control indicators.
PILOT: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
This is crap, these little bastards are turds and I am for sure not going to stand here and polish them ...
N'than looks around, shrugs, hops on the hoverbike he "liberated" and smiles at the rest of the crew, "Let's GO!"

Supreme Being wrote: So N'than and Dosheen... Anything before the rig pulls away????
N'than is trying to decide if he's leaving.
Well actually, I just decided.
Leaving, as I implied above, is the wrong thing to do.
Leaving puts the company at greater risk.
Leaving means that the company will have no official recourse related to the lost value of the cargo, which means it's way way way more likely that said value would go against the workers who lost it, since it's their word against no one's and the only facts that will be factual are late delivery of less product than expected.
If I made a decision to nullify any possibility of an insurance claim on an incident which was not in any way the company's fault and could clearly be tied to corporate espionage, I would expect the disciplinary action to be my termination ...
N'than also killed someone in the middle of the street and isn't going to walk away from that just because that person was a goblin who was stealing from the party. So everyone should go ahead, he'll stay there.
Vegoia Reisora wrote: Vegoia is fuming, but doesn't challenge COOK13's assesment. He had a point. She begins gathering the unspoiled fruit and returning it to the back of the rig, before hopping on the back herself.
"Let's move! We've already probably lost the bonus, I don't want any of us losing our jobs along with it!"
"Sure don't ... you guys go ahead, I'll stay right here and take care of saving everyone's jobs."
Yep, absolutely ... except for the OTHER disciplinary action, exactly.
aye aye captain!
Are we running from the police for some reason?
*** FB@SG1: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (1, 1, 1) + 3 = 6
N'than is not happy
mostly about three 1s
N'than's look is one the team hasn't seen before. It's quite possible N'than is angry. This is confirmed as he scowls, walks forward, taps on his wristpad, and fires at one of the goblins (1).
* MOVE25
** Force Barrage @ SG1
FB: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (2, 3) + 2 = 7
Thanks though, I appreciate the thought. Next time.
REF: 1d20 ⇒ 1
i'm not going to look up my modifier ...
"Enough!"
N'than's eyes sparkle as he casts Electric Arc
**CAST (bot need Basic REF) dmg: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6
*Step Back

”One day, which will probably not be today because we do not know each other well enough, you will know how much I appreciate that. There is so much to the All Code, and in no way do I simply mean divinity. Or technology for that matter. Sometimes I just wish I could share the basics with everyone, like that Triune’s history on old Golarion extends thousands of years prior to the Gap. But really, thank you, it would mean a lot to me to share the experience of being Chosen.”

It's like a can of gas, right? How much does it weigh?

Qabarat Starport
Heavy load? Dosheen-45 thinks. Is Maka being sarcastic? I consider this a heavy load. If he is serious what is heavy in his opinion? Maybe it varies with the effort to move it...oh what is the max weight capacity for the rig?
Dosheen-45 stops watching the old woman and accesses the infosphere to compare the hauling capabilities of various rigs.
"I say that I am blessed, but I'm not making a jest, I am. Triune is with me every day; that said, it was a truly blessed morning, because that datapad hacking was meant to slow things down ... a lot. I'm glad to have sliced thru it so quickly. Glad to join you all too!"
Supreme Being wrote: Still need Cook15, Makaleku, and N'than's default Exploration activities.
@ Dosheen: Were you going to make your own character sheet in DemiPlane? I made one... but you won't be able to do anything with it. You can go to the campaign, and create the character there. If you can see the copy I made, you might be able to "Save a Copy" then Import it into the campaign.
Will be Detect Magic ... and I can get the other updates done today as well (now that I have demiplane where I want it.)
"Still N'than, Captain-Person ... and yours? Nice to meet you."
"Let's keep at it then."
Silently, the young man prays, thinking, why would the All Code have chosen me, and set me to this if I wasn't up to the task. He thinks back to "the incident" when Triune appeared to him, and he was Chosen, and he Became ... yet in this moment, it all seems for naught.

"Let's have you add that thumbprint to this again sir."
"Oddly enough, some of us are a great deal more reliable than the standing expectation ... may I see that?"
A young man walks in, and he bristles with energy. Energy energy, a lot of energy, social energy too. A wavefront of it. Anyone's best guess would be he's Prismeni, but differnet somehow than others.
He takes the datapad, looks at it, looks at Prat, looks at it again, and closes his eyes. It shimmers. He hands it back to the man with a smile. A curt smile.
Prat looks up, "What did you do?"
"I'm almost sure you don't mean the part about racing across the city ... I cleaned the glass." Now his smile is quite genuine, if a touch mocking. "With your thumbprint confirming biometrics, you account should actually unlock itself, why don't we give that a try, yes?"
To the assembled the young man says, "Hi, I'm N'than. This should be settled in a jiff, sorry about that. Where are you all headed? Need a systems check before you shove off? Seems a great deal of my day just freed up ..."
I nominate that people nominate themselves; to not nominate yourself is like you don't love yourself ;)
