Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Garrick takes a brief moment to study the wyrd woman before him as Blackleaf attacks, watching how she moves before quickly enchanting his staff.
Move->Studied Combat; Standard-> Cast Sheillelagh
Blackleaf Bite (Flanking): 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 12 + 2 = 16 For:: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Plus Trip?: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22
Blackleaf Claw (Flanking): 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 12 + 2 = 18 For:: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Blackleaf Claw (Flanking): 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 12 + 2 = 31 For:: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Sorry, just trying to track back - it was a minor confusion, so Nothus is back to normal since the dominate was dispelled, right?
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Right - confusion means I auto-attack whomever attacks me. Well that's better than a staff to the face.
Retcon..
In his haze, Nothus swings his staff at the thing that tried to hurt him...
Quarterstaff: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 9 + 2 = 12 Well, that's not helpful..
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Blackleaf continues to attack, despite his two-legged companion's strange behaviour.
Bite: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32 Threat
Confirm?: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19 Ugh. Regular Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Plus Critical, just in case: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Trip: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Claw: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26 for 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Claw: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29 for 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Nothus... Confusion: 1d100 ⇒ 61 ..whacks himself in the head with his staff trying to clear it... and is surprised when it works. Now, he can go north!
Self-Inflicted: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (4, 1) + 4 = 9 Whew. That could have been much worse
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
AoO (Quarterstaff): 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 9 + 2 = 20
AoO (Bite): 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 12 + 2 = 17
Well, I guess that doesn't matter then..
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Would the inspire be in effect at the time of the AoO?
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
I assume that's lesser confusion and not a dispel?
Will (v. Dominate): 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 2 = 16 Nope.
Will (v. Lesser Confusion): 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 2 = 14 Nope. Though on the plus side, now I'm too confused to go north?
Will (Blackleaf): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Well, that's just a bad day of saves -- though shouldn't the prone spellcaster at least provoke before she crushes my will?
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Sorry, yes - Nothus is following the tactics he suggested. ;)
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus turns, raising his staff and moving forward, while calling out to his small companion, "Pull her down, Blackleaf."
I don't see a map, but I assume the cat can close and bite with his speed (wihtout provoking), and that Nothus can follow and attack as well.
Bite: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 Trip?: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Quarterstaff (2-hands): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12 for 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Oh sure, roll max damage on a miss. That's useful.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Nothus says, "Focus on Zakiyya. The others aren't so... dedicated... and may be more reasonable if she is out of the way."

Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus shrugs, "I thought we were still worried about others reaching our destination first? As much as the hospitality is appreciated, I think we need to keep going."
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20
Ugh, it ate my post!
Nothus feels something pulling at him as he watches the girls, at first thinking it's a bit of embarrassment at their original state of undress, then slowly realizing that it's something about their behaviour... Stop thinking about Ndombe's baudy tales and pay attention..., he chides himself.
Nothus chuckles, "An interesting offer, though I'd be scared at how Bitterleaf would react if you tell us something other than 'cat'.. Speaking of, do you mind if I share some of what you've shared with us with him?"
He stands, and reaches forward to take some meat, whispering in Elven to Shalissa, "There's something not right here, three of the girls are not ... present... Like thralls., then stepping away from the table to find some space that allows him to throw the meat up in the air, calling, "Catch", as his furry companion leaps to capture its meal.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus says, "Other than being unnaturally terrified, we're good."

Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Ok, so the lightning elementals would have attacked once the troll went down - so they should get 4 rounds of attacks before popping back to the elemental plane -- I'll assume with a fly of 100', two of them are always able to flank (plus, they're attacking a blind guy, so he gets bad AC penalties anyway...)
So...
First
Slam (Flanking): 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 2 = 13 for 1d4 ⇒ 1 Plus Electricity: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Slam (Flanking): 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 5 + 2 = 27 Threat
Confirm?: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 2 = 17 Maybe, since he's blind? for 1d4 ⇒ 3 Plus Electricity: 1d3 ⇒ 3 Plus Critical?: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Slam : 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 for 1d4 ⇒ 2 Plus Electricity: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Second
Slam (Flanking): 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 2 = 16 for 1d4 ⇒ 3 Plus Electricity: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Slam (Flanking): 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 2 = 22 for 1d4 ⇒ 3 Plus Electricity: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Slam : 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 for 1d4 ⇒ 3 Plus Electricity: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Third
Slam (Flanking): 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 2 = 16 for 1d4 ⇒ 4 Plus Electricity: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Slam (Flanking): 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 2 = 9 for 1d4 ⇒ 4 Plus Electricity: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Slam : 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 for 1d4 ⇒ 3 Plus Electricity: 1d3 ⇒ 2
..and last
Slam (Flanking): 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 2 = 9 for 1d4 ⇒ 1 Plus Electricity: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Slam (Flanking): 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 2 = 9 for 1d4 ⇒ 1 Plus Electricity: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Slam : 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 for 1d4 ⇒ 3 Plus Electricity: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Technically, the three lightning elementals would keep attacking until the spell expires. They fly 100' perfect, so, there's that.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus finds a place to hide from the man in the mask, dragging his cat with him.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Being blinded wouldn't stop the flight on its own -- I think the Acrobatics check a blinded walker/runner gets replaced by Fly checks, and, of course, they can't see obstacles. Of course, the penalty to Dex skills for being blind would also apply to fly checks, so maneuvering, or even hovering, might be pretty rough.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus completes his spell and the air becomes charges as three lightning elementals appear around the troll and attack. He whistles to Blackleaf, directing the cat use his speed to charge the necromancer instead.
Summon III (# of summons): 1d3 ⇒ 3
Two will flank with each other, the third with Ndombe
Slam (Flanking): 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 2 = 17 for 1d4 ⇒ 2 Plus electricity: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Slam (Flanking): 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 2 = 26 for 1d4 ⇒ 4 Plus electricity: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Slam (Flanking): 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 2 = 16 for 1d4 ⇒ 1 Plus electricity: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Will Save (Nothus): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Will Save (Blackleaf): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Oh goodie. We flee again. I love fear.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus shakes his head, "Why do they need to fly? Blackleaf, get the corpse."
The small cat rushes forward to attack the zombie, trying to bite and pull the creature down.
Bite: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 And trip: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
As his companion attacks, Nothus begins to cast a complex spell.
Stupid 1 round casting times...
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
"If it's only been a few hours, we might be able to find a trail," and begins to look about for just such a thing to follow.
Survival: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus looks for a moment, "Too bad we can't figure out what they might have learned... it'd give us a hint of who did the asking."
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Survival (Nothus): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Nothus shrugs, "I'm less worried about our ability to fight as our ability to resist magics that take us out of the fight. Still, I do think sneaking in is good."
(No healing prepped here.)
Stealth (Blackleaf): 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23
Stealth (Nothus): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus says, "I could send an animal, but not today."
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Yes - so I guess I should map out line of sight to know when Nothus can stop running- though he can't remove fear, so it won't really change much.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus and his companion continue their excellent plan of running away.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Does Nothus save each round? Or just keep fleeing?
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Will (Nothus): 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 2 = 12
Will (Blackleaf): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Druid and cat both run away from the ape.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus releases his breath, "Well done, Ndombe."
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
That sounds like fun! Enjoy!
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
If Ndombe's handling water breathing, Nothus can try a few other ways to keep the critter away - like Aversion, which would make it want to keep away from the wreck for a day/level (or, if it makes its will, be sickened and uncomfortable if it approaches). Could also summon hippocampi as water-mounts (since I can't Freedom of Movement or grant swim speeds to everyone).
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus says, "I don't have a speak with animals to ask the dolphins to do that, but could do it tomorrow morning."
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus can summon some aquatic creatures to distract/help. Dolphins are on the 1 list; frogs, octopi, squid and water elementals on 2; crabs, eels, crocs and sharks on 3. They won't last long, but could engage and keep the beastie busy.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Nothus keeps a neutral expression and an even tone as he says to the group, "Your little friend seems to love us a lot, Neltji. Enough that she's following us."
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus says, "As much fun as it would be to warp their ships or call lightning to blast them.... I'm thinking we'd best move on quickly without attracting even more attention to ourselves."
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Neltji wrote: Wife and family got into a car accident and just getting back to normal life. Will be posting here this weekend Wow, sorry to hear that.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus sighs, "The name of a ship is something, anyway. Guessing that folks who know what we're up to are trying to grab our information and details and beat us there.... wonder if we would have been better off telling everyone we were accepting their offer - if only to keep them from getting in our way, now."
Nothus nods, "Agreed, let's hand him over. He, and his companions, were clearly meant to be disposable cat's paws. There's no gain to holding on to him."
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus shakes his head, muttering, "Aye, how'd that work out for you..." He says, "Got more than 'pirate looking'? Size of the group? Ages? Race? Hair? Eyes?"
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus chuckles, then realizes the bard is serious. Apparently I've given too much credit to 'assassins'
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus completes his spell, and there's a sudden ruffle of wind and smell of mountain air as an eagle appears in the window, behind the agent attacking Cevill.
Beak (Flanking): 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 2 = 25 Threat
Confirm?: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 2 = 16 Doubtful, but maybe? Normal Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3 Plus Critical?: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Talon (Flanking): 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 = 6 for: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Talon (Flanking): 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 2 = 15 for: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus comes out of his room, Blackleaf on his heels, and his quarterstaff in hand. Unsure of anything other than the group being attacked, he begins to cast a spell to call for help.
Because of the move to get here, standard to start the full-round spell, will finish with a move action next round.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Sorry guys, I didn't see the post saying I was up.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Probably worth poking him, then? And also botting?
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Shalissa wrote: It looks like we are unnecessarily stuck at this point.
Can we just roll to randomly determine where is who and who does what shift GM Rich? :)
Seconded. Only thing is that Nothus will certainly not want to be separated from Blackleaf.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
The rooms seems pretty small to share - so I'm thinking some of us might end up on the floor in the common area.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus says. "I'd be fine taking the first, so I have time to rest before communing with nature... And Blackleaf's eyes and nose are quite useful in the dark."
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus pauses, then whispers in Elven, "No, I imagine she's hoping to sell information about us. Assuming she's not already been hired to spy."
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
I'm going to be offline until the 11th. Feel free to bot Nothus as needed.
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus nods, then passes the child a goodberry, "In addition to some coin, let me fill your belly as well."
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Nothus shakes his head, "Another skilled blade is welcome, as long as it doesn't end up in our backs."
Male Half-Elven (Chelish) Druid (Nature Fang) 5
Will (Nothus): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Will (Blackleaf): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Nothus shakes off the effect of the creature's roar, directing Blackleaf to attack as he steps forward, staff in had.
Free to direct the shaken cat, 5' step in, move to studied combat and attack.
Bite: 1d20 + 12 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 12 - 2 = 28 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 ..and trip?: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Quarterstaff (Studied): 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 2 = 10
