"Surely the poltergeist in there is the thing that scared away in the village. Even I couldn't stand to be near it. It's terrifying. Still, it would be good to try to put it to rest rather than antagonizing it further by attacking it. Someone have to get the body out and give it a proper burial. But I'm not going back there." Neziana says as she looks back at the chapel with trepidation, ready to bolt if she sees the poltergeist coming out.

I generally prefer that the GM rolls passive checks like this to speed things up. Still, I'm surprised to see that only 3 of the 7 of us have posted. I guess people have been busy and/or on vacation. Here it was a holiday on Monday.

I realize that with me planning to pick up at least 3 shield sphere talents besides my tradition, it would be better long term to trade away 5 feats for adept sphere of might progression. That would however mean one less talent at level 1. I would lose bashing shield, effectively putting me down 3 AC whenever I attack with my offhand. Though given I have a defensive stance already, that's probably not too bad... Would this be an ok trade to make, or is it too late? Basically I'll loose bashing shield for now, but gain it back next level.

Sorry to hear you're going through trying times. For me these games is a way to get a break from the rest of the world, but people are affected differently. I hope things get better for you soon and we'll be here when you get back.

Neziana shakes her head in disappointment as they enter the temple to follow after the others. "We managed to chase down one of the goblins, but unfortunately we couldn't get anything more out of it. It just fought us. The other one got away. Did you guys learn anything of value here?"

She looks over at the bow and whistles. "That's an excellent bow. I'll be happy to use it if no one else needs it more. Sarenrae is more dear to my heart, but I'll be happy to take any aid Old Deadeye can lend us. I have a sling as my ranged backup weapon at the moment. Do you have anything better Lalali-Re?" She turns towards the rogue to discuss the usage of the bow as she surveys the rest of the area around the altar.

Neziana's face heats up in embarrassment as all three of her blows goes wide. She ponders her options for a moment, but decides to press the attack. The tiefling stabs out with her estoc, then moves in close so she can bite at the opponent at the same time as she brings her cestus around to connect with it's skull.

Did you account for active defense and aegis for Makanaky? Though I'm not sure if Neziana is close enough for aegis, kinda hard to know with theater of mind.

Seeing that the goblin doesn't listen to her Neziana moves to engage. Her movements are graceful as she carefully picks her way across the battlefield to avoid being struck down. Just as she gets close enough she moves to grab her weapon in two hands and stabs out. Her estoc flies with blinding speed and tries to skewer the goblin, one, two, three times. After striking out she moves her weapon back over to one hand, getting into a more defensive posture to ward off any blows coming her way.

"Sure we will. We can run then down or shoot them from afar. We will beat them, just like we did the other creatures. I'm sure we can do this!" After letting out her encouraging words, she sprints after the goblins. Her lithe form moves in rapid and graceful movements, catching up to the goblins with her weapons at the ready, though not quite able to strike at them yet.

Swift: Encouraging Roar (unsure if this counts for Lalali-Re's attack as well?)
Full round: Run to catch up, at 4x speed Neziana can run 120 feet, so she should be able to catch up, even if that means losing dex to AC for a round. Between the stance and active defense hopefully she'll still be fine.

Neziana translates for the others as the goblin speaks. "Sounds like there was some internal strife among the colonists."

Then she hears a sound. She continues in goblin: "What's this sound in there? And what do you mean by ours, are there more of you? We will leave in peace if you answer our questions, I don't want to be forced to kill you." She moves towards the sound while keeping her weapon pointed towards the goblin.

In some variants of pazio publications, goblins are almost all unrevocably chaotic evil. In other places they span a much wider range of alignments and some GMs pull this wider still. Are you a fan of hard black and white, or can everything we encounter potentially be good or any shade of grey?

Neziana takes the lead in towards the village. "We shouldn't stay too far appart, max hundred feet or so, but we could check like two or three buildings at a time. That will be a decent compromise between safety and speed I think. I do agree with Vigny that we should check out the main building first. For marching order, I can take point. Ah, maybe you're allowed to craft them ahead of us starting the adventure? The DC is fairly low and that would give us 3 times as many flasks for the same price (or the ability to buy something else in addition).

So what do the rest of you think? Am I paranoid for wanting to buy acid flasks and/or alchemist fire? If we buy 12 acid flasks, that's 2 per person (except Gnarok). I would like to finalize purchases as soon as possible. My suggestion is that in addition to the 2 wands Lalali-Re already have gotten we get:

You also get +2 Int and +2 Con.

Our warpriest gets that spell in 3 levels yeah (as does the cleric savant)... But it's a while until then and I'm sure they would like to be able to use spells for other things. Getting a wand of lesser restoration for 375 GP is a super good bargain (it's 4500 to buy one crafted from a cleric). I doubt there are any paladins helping with crafting on the island while there surely were some back in absalom so it makes perfect sense for us to be able to get such a wand.

A wand of burning hands cost 15 GP per charge for 1d4 damage (reflex 11 for half). That's more expensive than acid flasks(10GP for 1d6) or alchemists fire(20GP for 2d6, reflex 15 for half), not to mention that you can't buy it in smaller increments.

I'm not sure how relevant endure elements will be for this campaign, we're neither in a desert nor frozen wastes, though of course I don't know what we face. A wand of Touch of the Sea sounds quite interesting to me if we have healing covered, though Lalali-Re already has a swim speed, so that might not make sense for her to have... That's certainly one of the first spells I'm learning once we get to level 2.

@Lalali-Re: How much gold do you need for us to get a wand of lesser restoration (cl 1 as paladin spell), clw and endure elements (1500 GP total).

Because swarms can be a pain to deal with for a lot of classes and it makes a lot of thematic sense for them to pop up at some point. A lot of swarms are resistant or even immune to normal weapons. The equipment needed to deal with them are rather cheap and you can get it from the start, but if you don't get it, you could end up with a big problem. I don't think you need to change archetypes to deal with them at all. None of us except Gnarok got any way to affect things immune to weapons.

@Lalali-Re: You have two wands listed on your sheet already. Is that correct? Did you buy the CLW wand for half price? If we already bought a CLW wand, I would prefer to buy a paladin-wand of lesser restoration since it'll only cost 375 and I doubt we'll ever be able to acquire a wand like that for anywhere near that price on the island.

With 51 gold from Vigny, 19 gold from Darvan, 195 gold from me and and 220 gold from Lalali-Re we'll be able to afford a wand of Lesser Restoration (or another CLW if Lalali-Re's wand isn't enough?) and 11 flasks of Acid. That's nearly 2 per person, which should help quite a bit against any swarms we might encounter.

I guess I'll downgrade my armor to studded leather and change out my weapons for a normal estoc and a cold iron cestus.

You can look up the rules of the stones yourself on the various srds. The int stones gives a skill point per level to the same skill every level and I'm guessing it has to be a knowledge skill.
