I'd love to see a 110 card monster/barrier expansion pack. I've lost count of the times I've replayed Rise of the Runelords, and on most runs I mix in a class deck or two which gives some new boons every time (current run is Druid & Barbarian class decks). But the banes are always the same!

On one run I did select a few banes from S&S to mix in - pretty much anything that wasn't already in RotR and wasn't reliant on ships, structural damage etc. It added some good variety but a ready-made bane expansion would be great.

we gave rogues Meliski and Wu Shen some new Poison cards

Think you might mean Olenjack there (though I can see how one awesome dwarf is easily confused with another).

If there are too many scenarios where numerous replays are going to be required simply to get the cards in the "right" order to be lucky enough to win...
Don't Toll of the Bell and Bizarre Love Triangle have this aspect in S&S?

I'd actually argue the opposite for Toll of the Bell —because of the way the scenario is set up, you have to work your way through every card to win. That means it's not really possible for luck to go your way; you simply have to make it through all the cards (40 for 4 characters) before the blessings deck runs out.

On the other hand, after losing one attempt at Best Served Cold by running out of time (one more location than normal; villain eats blessings off the deck) it's just about killed my interest in S&S. I expect I'll get back to it eventually but for now I'm having so much fun taking another six characters through RotR that I don't feel the need to spend two hours hopelessly watching the blessings deck run out.

But, seriously, strength check AND int check? Who has both stats?

You have to ask? Flenta has!

Me, I'm hoping there aren't any falling bells in the worldwound.

Here is my tale of cheaters prospering.

Five of us - Seelah (me), Seoni, Valeros, Amiri and Merisiel - were making our first attempt at Scaling Mhar Massif, and we were being butchered.

Minor spoiler for the scenario:

Spoiler:
If you fail to defeat the Leng Spider henchmen, they deal damage to a random character. In this session, the dice decided that tonight's random character would be Seoni.

So not even halfway through the game, Seoni died. This is the only player in the group apart from me who has been in from the beginning, and he's quite miffed about dying so near the end. I have a Raise Dead spell, but it's already in my discard pile, and I spend the remainder of the game trying - and failing - to get it back in hand.

However, on the very last turn, there is hope. Merisiel has explored and found a Hand Chopper.

"Wouldn't it be awesome", I say, "if you defeated the Chopper, chose spell, and drew the one copy of Raise Dead out of the box?"

Seoni's player is away from the table, getting a drink. Amiri and Valeros look at me and speak as one.

"MAKE IT HAPPEN."

So I pick up the spells, and in my first and last instance of deliberate cheating, find the Raise Dead and pop it on top of the deck. When Seoni returns to the table, Merisiel is assembling his dice while I'm carefully shuffling the bottom half of the spells deck.

Merisiel beats the trap, chooses to draw a spell, and what are the odds - it's Raise Dead. Cheers all round. Game over, and we all survived!

(It took us three more attempts to get up that mountain, but at least nobody else died. I think Seoni's player still believes that was a random draw.)

Great to see you here Liz! Incredible Expeditions was the game that persuaded me to sign up for Kickstarter so I could back it. (I found out much later that my friend Stu even has his photo in the game - I kind of wish he hadn't told me, then it would have been a huge surprise.)

As for Press Ganged, it's a kick in the teeth all right.

Alahazra, peeking at what comes next - no it's not.
Lirianne, helping combat at another location - nope.
Seltyiel, playing a weapon and recharging a spell - good luck doing that with one card in hand.
At least Valeros had a good time.

Lirianne - She has been under-performing thus far, but some of that has simply been poor dice luck. In terms of getting better cards she has excelled gaining 2x Pistol+1, a Musket, and a Blunderbuss. However her 4 card hand often means she does the one explore and that's it. Perhaps she should bury a card on every combat.

Or perhaps she could be more generous with adding 1d4 to other people's combat. That's quite useful for cycling through her cards, as it was with Harsk.

My Lirianne has been underperforming too, but I think she started to make up for it last weekend when she went full Pepperbox against the villain.
