Quiet as a mouse, Navi flutters back up the stairs to warn the party, "It was horrible! Down the stairs to the right, there's a large room with a table piled high with bloodied torture devices. I think something just died down there, the air's so thick with blood and pain. There where two figures, sharpening the tools, speaking in abyssal! Oh the room itself was dank and echoed with remembered screams. There where doors on the long wall to the south and to the east and west."

Assuming the cell is undamaged. Navi considers what to do next, "As intriguing as the fate of this most unlikely follwer of the dreamer is. We came here for a reason. We'd best push on before the warding fails on Ser Konny." I'm betting we'll find out more by pushing on deeper into the dungeon.

Navi flutters about inspecting the cell and the scratched prayer, and remarks to Konny, "This cell. It feels different, very different. I can sense no evil here, yet outside the very air is so thick with it I could almost cut it with a knife." She ponders and continues, "They say if somebody spends long enough in a place, an impression of them rubs off. Blending into the woodwork so to speak. Still who could possibly have been strong enough to leave such an impression? And how did they survived long enough to do so? And where are they now? Perhaps this is what Staunton wrote about."

Navi returns, and informs the group, "There are two doors north and south, which appear to be cells. There's also an open area behind bars with another door to the east. There was something lurking there, something horrid. I don't think it saw me. This place is cursed, I hope the gods give us the courage to cleanse it."

Like a tiny meteor, Navi streaks up from the gloom. Even when distressed, her voice is musical, her tears hit the ground with a feint tinkle. Pressing her hands to her head, as if not wanting to hear something awful she warns the party that, "The spirits below are twisted and cursed. They mutter things, horrible things into your mind. They brought foul lichens from the dark heart of the worldwound for lighting! The stench of evil is pervasive down there!" She takes a deep shuddering breath and carries on, "It appears to be some sort of prison, with mean foetid cells and a great iron cage with a door blocking the vault. I didn't see anything moving, but the thought of being trapped down there. Uh! I'd go mad with the torment."

Yes HP us updated. Navi says, "I'm pretty sure we need to go down. Kaladin can you protect me from evil?" He replies, "Sure lass, I'll ask Pulura ta watch over ya." and then he casts a spell! Kaladin casts protection from evil on her and Resistance. She then flies up to the ceiling and heads over to the stairs down and scouts out the first room below.
She is cautious, watching out for magical or evil auras.
Once she has had a look, she immediately returns to the party.

Navi returns in a swirl of colour and a soft sound like a bell ringing. Sounding relieved she tells everyone, "Well there's a first, the powers that be are watching intently and know a thing or two. Firstly the Nahindrian crystal is below us, with Chorussina and is well guarded. Apparently we probably have time for rest, and there supplies near by that will help us. They were emphatic about the last question. I take that to mean we should search for these supplies and rest for maybe four hours at most."

Navi nods and asks her final three questions, "4. Is the Nahindrian crystal below us? 5. Do we have time to rest before it is used? 6. Are there any supplies nearby that can help us?" Trying to ask the questions that will be most useful. The other thing I thought about was asking if it was North and if it was East. We'd then know which quadrant to look in.

Navi nods sagely and then dissolves into a whirlwind of glowing motes, reminiscent of stars. There is a strange curtain of light left as she departs, that shifts and flows majestically with colors of deep red and blue. In anther place entirely, Navi finds herself in a formless room from which she can see a galaxy of stars. A multi-hued servitor formed out of ribbons of winking lights approaches her and it dutifully notes down her questions. Navi clearly and staidly states, "1. We seek the Nahindrian crystal. Is that in Chorussina's possession? 2. Is the Nahindrian crystal well guarded? 3. Is the Nahindrian crystal on this floor?" She awaits the answers to these before asking the remaining three questions she is entitled to. Navi casts Commune. She is planning on using the remaining three questions to try an narrow down where the Nahindrian crystal is, assuming the entity answering has knowledge of it's location..

Navi pipes up, "I could ask the powers that be for guidance. They don't appreciate being pestered so I'd only get perhaps 4 or 5, maybe 6 questions if I'm pushing my luck. I was thinking to ask after we'd figured out what that Glaive is but maybe I should ask for help now. What do you think?" She awaits the opinions of the group.

Navi flutters from somewhere up above to hover near the party. The diminutive woman bows to Barundar and says something to him. Her sing song voice is musical and light, and reminds you of summer meaddows and happier days. What she tells him is this, "A noble intention Ser Barundar, I believe I may be able to offer some slight help with that. Once we know what this weapon is, I'm allowed on occasion to petition the higher powers with a question. I believe they would approve of this foul things destruction and will help us understand how that may be achieved." Navi can cast commune 1/week and can ask 6 questions.

Navi flys back and tells everyone, "The room to the south looks to be clear of monsters, although the southern part is full of debris. According to the map we need to go through that, if we want to go to the secret room where the sword of valor was kept. Alternatively the commander's quarters are through the door to the west."

White dragon anybody? Navi doesn't touch any of the loot but tries to have a good look at it without getting too close.
Before departing (to report her findings), she looks to see if there are any magical or evil auras in the area. If she spots any magical auras she trys to understand what they are.
On the way back she tries to puzzle out what type of creature may be lairing there.

She flies a short distance ahead and keeping well up in the air, she searches for a suitable entrance. If there's an unbarred entrance for one of her small stature, she'll have a peek inside before returning. If engaged she'll use total defense / withdraw. Stealth: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (12) + 18 = 30

With Kaladin ensconsed in prayer, Navi finds herself bored and worried. She heads back to the meeting and studies the map. To others, much of the time she appears as a floating puff of light. This morning she is in her natural form, a tiny slender woman, with gossamer wings, almond shaped eyes and aubern hair. In a musical voice, she asks a series of questions, "There are two, no three rooms labelled as 'garrison'. Do we know how big the enemy force is? What's their morale like? Will they all fight to the last? And what's the best way to enter the keep? It seems the keep was designed to force the attacked to come in via the gatehouse under withering enemy fire but that section of wall north of the western garrison looks to be breached. They will be expecting us to come that way, right?"

Navi buzzed by his ear and told him excitedly! "Kaladin! Get up you've got to see this!" Kaladin merely grunted, exhausted beyond measure. "They've found hundreds perhaps even thousands of suits of armour, still shiny after all this time. There are racks and racks of weaponry too, its seriously impressive." Kaladin, never one to be interested in such things, muttered sleepily, "Tell meh in da morning lass. I'm all drained..." Navi shrugged, 'I suppose after what was it, three battles? Yeah its little wonder he's tired.' Curious about the cathedral, Navi flutters off to explore. After all being small and able to fly, she can find areas that others can't reach. She flutters round the rafters, marvelling at the craft work where every surface is carved with religious iconography. Here and there the runes of long dead stonemasons. Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20

Navi gasps as the Incubus flies in to strike Kaladin powerfully in the chest. Concern turns to horror as a gout of artieral blood, shockingly red pulses out! Doing what she can Navi strokes his feverish brow and hums an innate healing charm!

How long since the previous battle? Kaladin defiantly has Air Barrier up, and Life Link on Konny, Vic, Brud and Belledonna. Navi keeps her eyes open but waits for the others to move first.

Navi returns to warn the party, "There's three Brimoraks and an Incubus up there. The Brimoraks have fiery blood, flaming swords and sickeningly awful breath. The Incubus seems to be some kind of sorcerer, I think it's more dangerous than the others. Don't let it summon something or it will become harder to kill."
