Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

A much more experienced Pathfinder agent walks over to you and explains more. (yes, this is one of the GMs pretty much retired Seeker characters)

“As Aram Zey said, we have identified the six most damaged areas of the tapestry. Unfortunately, each of these areas is populated. In some of them, you’ll find allies who require aid, and in others long-time foes that would thwart our efforts. We must defeat these foes or win them over to our side. Choose your missions carefully! If you have visited the tapestry before, its people are likely to remember you, for good or ill."

“I do have one piece of good news—the tapestry’s attempts to repair itself have caused loose threads from these six locations to connect to each other. What that means for you is that traveling between those locations once you’re inside should be straightforward. Advance scouts tell us these connections look like bridges made of tattered fabric decorated to resemble the two locations in the tapestry that the bridge connects."

“As for getting back home, when you enter, you’ll leave a little blue portal behind you. It’s called an astral eddy, and it’s your personal connection to the Material Plane. Walk back into it, and you’ll reappear in Absalom. Once you’ve come home, though, we won’t be sending you back in."

“You have two days to complete as many missions as you can, but don’t be so hasty that you throw away your lives. Take the time to rest if you find a safe place.”

GM Otha, did we 'liberate one or more slaves, captives, or hostages during an adventure' for a faction card?

Thank you, Otha, this was a lot of fun!

Great game, everyone, thanks.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika stays in the air near her floating friends to encourage them.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika takes a moment to use a scroll to cast fly to be able to safely get off the ship, and then gets off.

Narika continues to move forward.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika rushes to get off the ship.

I did not move my token on the map, because I'm not sure which way is out...

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika nods to Rudzik, ready to comfort any of the humans during their 'surgery.' She also helps explain to them what is happening, and why it is needed.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

"Is everyone OK?" Narika calls out to her friends.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika sends magic missiles slamming into the remaining xill, half into each.

Narika returns the favor and sends some black tentacles to try to wrap up the plant keeper. note SR does not apply

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika places a fireball where it will catch the plant keeper and as many more enemies as possible.

"No one should be locked away unless they have been very bad and hurt lots of people," Narika agrees softly, appearing lost in her memories for a moment.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika calls her companions over and quickly explains what happened and that the Dimension Door spell is involved. She then follows Peribras, waiting for one of the strong ones to go first if they offer to.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Seeing Peribras investigating, Narika comes to look, too. (Detect Magic)

Narika stands near Peribras to provide comfort during the surgery. If she thinks he would appreciate it as a friendly gesture, she holds his hand. If not, she is just close and talks to him.

Afterwards, she takes out her healing wand and asks if any of her companions can use it. If not, she can try to use it herself.

Liberty's Edge

Narika moves away slightly for safety, and then sends more magic pellets at blue.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika carefully examines what has happened using detect magic. Once she knows everything she can, she tries to go through the door in her turn, with scrolls of fly in her hands.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika lets the stronger friends go first, but is happy to detect magic on any doors or other suspicious objects for them.

Sorcerer 16

Narika points at a space between the golems and speaks a strange word. Squiggly black things come up out of the deck and grab at the constructs.

orange circle represents radius. Hits both constructs but no allies due to how Pathfinder counts distance. Black Tentacles does not have spell resistance. CMB for the tentacles is 16.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika places a blue fireball between the enemy combatants, if she can do so without harming the harbor guards or her allies.

"I'd be glad to help investigate something like that." Narika smiles.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

GM Otha, you can use wand charges and spells if you need to bot me. (I know some GMs try not to do so)

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika smiles at Zaarah. "I'm Narika. I'm a librarian and practitioner of the magical arts. I also seek to thwart the schemes of the Thrunies whenever possible." (she makes 'Thrunies' sound like a swear word)

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

A spunky looking little halfling woman slips into the clandestine meeting. She has very little armor or weaponry, but scrolls and wands all over her person.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Can someone please bot me? I've spent a good chunk of the day in the emergency room with family, and can't think clearly. I think Narika would move to the next ice chunk she can repair and also move her flaming sphere, which would be two move actions.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

oops, that's really embarassing; it's the error called 'posting while distracted.' I'll assume that is a fail and try the same square again.

Narika tries again to replace the ice.

Narika uses the wand to try to repair the rune right in front of her.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Hamish is correct that the wand is scorching ray, not burning hands.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika moves to where she is adjacent to damaged rune someone please move me; having map issues but hopefully not too exposed. She then tries to use the wand they were given to make repairs.

She then uses her magic to create a ball of fire on top of the last mummy. flaming sphere, map help needed again.

damage: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 6) = 14 reflex DC 19 negates damage; sphere will last for 9 rounds

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

OK, strategy talk time. I seem to be the best source of fire to toast the mummies, but also I have the wand to fix the seal. I'm guessing there is an endless pile of mummies who will keep coming after us until the seal is fixed. I can hand off my wand of burning hands to anyone who can use it, or hand off the wand to fix the seal (Narika won't be great at that, because she's CHA based.) I'd welcome any thoughts as to how we as a team want to handle this situation.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

computer issues are keeping me from getting to the map and noting the placement for the fireball.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika digs in her pack, and holds out a wand where any of her companions can use it. wand of burning hands, CL1; it's not much, but if it lets someone else do fire damage, you're welcome to it. You'll have to use your own move action to grab it, since Narika used hers to fish it out.

Another flower of fire blossoms at the icky undead from where Narika points.
damage: 9d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 1, 4, 5, 2, 4, 2) = 27

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

I agree that Shirogane appears to have made an honest mistake in interpretation of the text of his vow. I also agree with Kiku's reasoning that this is the sort of situation where a warning/chance to change actions is the proper solution, rather than consequences. This is especially important in PbP, because misunderstandings of the situation arise even more easily with the delays in communications.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika points, and a fireball goes off near the creatures who are threatening the survivors. center is marked with a sun on the map...

damage: 9d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 4, 6, 3, 1, 1, 2, 1) = 22
DC 20 reflex for half damage; I believe I have placed it where the fireball can't damage the seal more or hurt anyone other than bad guys...

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika listens carefully to everything Kiku explains, willingly adding a bit from her rations.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika smiles at the newcomer and tries to hold her hands in a non-threatening manner (remembering he may have seen her cast a spell) as she asks her companions if any have the ability to speak to this creature.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika adjusts her position a little so that she has clear line of sight to the remaining enemy but is still well out of range, and then sends several hard little pellets of magic flying at the bear.

Narika moves forward so she can see to cast spells.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika quietly follows the others, prepared for trouble.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika's eyes light up at the gift of spirits. Her new friends notice that before she drinks, she seems to always pour out a few drops like an offering. If anyone asks questions, she quietly states that it is an act of worship to Cayden Cailean, but does not say more. They also notice that she is drinking very moderatly, but with enjoyment.

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika thinks carefully a moment. "There is risk to a delay, but perhaps the benefits that might be gained with a delay are worth that risk. I agree, let's stop at the shrine."

Liberty's Edge

Sorcerer 16

Narika accepts a drink. Anyone watching her closely notices her go over to a quiet corner and raise her glass, pour out a single sip on the ground, and then take a small sip herself. Then she comes to rejoin the others.

Narika asks one of her companions to use her healing wand, if any are able.
