Nar is not a complicated dwarf. He has out his warhammer, shield and glances around the area as well as looks for any sign of passage of the creature. He is also ok with being the bait to draw it out.

Nar feels the haste spell wash over him quickening his attacks. He begins with a swipe with his morning star to set it up for his follow up shield slam. Then after pushing it back he moves with the bat, swinging his morningstar twice more before it can recover.

Idea

Foehammer gives a +2 circumstance bonus to bull rush, overrun, sunder, and trip. Dwarven trait Relentless gives a +2 trait bonus on bull rush and overrun. At 7th level (one away) Nar will be able to do a trip attempt at the end of a bull-rush.

Nar can do a disarm attempt with his main hand using Break Guard feat, then if successful gets a swift action attack with his offhand (shield) which if it hits he gets a free bull rush with Shield Slam(which at 7th turns into a free trip attempt as well). He should get the most of his action economy.

Nar bristles a bit as a reflex when he thinks Miatha is being critical of them, but settles a but when she explains better. "Where can we find this Tammar?" Nar tries to keep his voice from being to harsh as he would around other dwarves.

Nar is slightly uncomfortable, feeling more at ease around his own people. Seeing Ivy tense up he drops back a a little and nudges Stali to be alert since Ivy is being fidgety.

Nar helps rescue the gnomes. Heading in there he didn't really care about their status and was more excited about the treasure found. But as he helped save those gnomes including the one who need magical healing, he discovered that he did care about the fate of these gnomes. Nar thinks to himself that that is the first time he ever cared about a non dwarf in his life.

However looking at the spider creature, he feels no compassion.
