The shift to suddenly ignore the evil of slavery in Golarian and thereby make useless much of the lore and even some character options (who are the Liberators liberating exactly?), all for the sake of cowardly trying to ease the hurt feelings of a few social media people is unacceptable. All it takes for evil to win is for good people to do nothing. If you want to point out that slavery is evil, then have more adventures fighting it, with content warnings for the faint of heart. In the current day, over a billion people suffer under totalitarian regimes, yet no one speaking out against having those. Why? Because without some evil force, the game of heroic fantasy devolves into an episode of Care Bears. But of course pointing out the hypocrisy and cowardice of not minding the larger evil isn’t something you’ll listen to, as pointed out by Tonya Woldridge in the forums, and besides, when your books are printed in China, why would you want to listen to it. I loved pathfinder because it was a wonderfully balanced game that allowed all options and viewpoints, and I found it when I left D&D because WotC began changing the lore and mechanics for purely political reasons. Now it appears that Paizo has taken the same stance, and not only insists that the game must reflect the hypocritical priveleged first-world politics of the real and current world, but must also destroy history and lore to make it happen, no better than right-wing people who want to ignore slavery and keep it out of schoolbooks, so too does Paizo want to ignore evils and keep them out of their books. Since I play RPGs to create stories of heroism against evil, ignoring evil so it may grow and fester, will never be an option. ![]()
I have 4 subscriptions and am considering a 5th. However, sometimes, the 4 alone can cause some budget crunch (especially when they all occasionally hit in the same month, so this is even more of a concern if I add a 5th. Since I intend to maintain the 1st 4 subscriptions, my question is this: can I request to skip items in my 5th subscription if I can't afford them at the time? Whether it would mean asking for the item to not be shipped, or whether it would mean turning off my subscription for a month and then turning it back on afterward, is this possible? Also, I fully understand that if this is possible, and I order the skipped item separately in the future, I would not get the pdf version for free as I would normally with subscription orders. ![]()

I understand that due to shipping issues, a lot of stuff got moved to July, but 3-4 months worth of books at once is extremely expensive. 2 of the books in my side cart should be currently available: Troubles in Otari, and a replacement copy of Extinction Curse: Life’s Long Shadows. Could I please have these sent now, in order to spread out the cost a little bit? ![]()
I ordered a copy of PF 153 because I wanted the Shoony ancestry info. I did not order a used copy. I received my book today, but it has a corner torn off. It was not damaged during shipping because the packaging was pristine. My order number was 36427037. What can be done about this? I keep my books in very good condition, which is why I didn't order a used copy to begin with. ![]()
Luis Loza wrote: Geniekin can absolutely have tails, but I think we did the feat a disservice by not having any of the genieking art depict tails. We'll make sure to make it more obvious in the future, but know you can totally have a tail as a geniekin if you want, with or without the feat. :) That would help. All the art showed characters that had tails due to ancestry, not versatile heritage, so it was a little confusing. Thanks for the clarification. ![]()
On page 99 Geniekin are listed as having the SKillful Tail level 5 feat. This is identical to the Ganzi Skillful Tail feat earlier in the book. SKillful Tail makes sense for the Ganzi and is a prerequisite for other Ganzi feats. Skillful Tail doesn't make any sense for Geniekin. Was this an accidental duplication error? |
