Grand Lodge 2/5

Hello, a player told me a GM gains also an experience point for directing a Society scenario. Is that true? I can't find it in the rules.

Grand Lodge

Probably an invader could use the exiled noblemen of Galt to rally unhappy people. Machiavelli said centralized kingdoms were harder to conquer, but easier to keep. Galt is the opposite case!

I always thought bolsheviks were more Lawful. They wanted a new order, but a radicaly diferent order.

I always thought Chaotic Evil defended "strength gives right", especialy when they are the strongest. But probably you're right.

For more Milani info look into Reign of Winter: Shackled Hut

A DM asked me a Riding test of 10 to drive my cavalier's steed to battle. But I think I need only a 5, being a battle-trained animal and having a link with it.

Grand Lodge

Cool idea!

Also I think Gorynychs deserve some space, too!

Grand Lodge

Reading Milani wiki's article I think a good module could work around Courage Heart (Milani's herald) while she was a mortal.

Grand Lodge

My problem is Galt seems so unstable it's surprising it hasn't been conquered by neighbours or ripped by monsters.

A Chaotic Neutral can be a pure anarchist, consider all systems, from paternal monarchies (Lawful Good) to corrupt cleptocracies (Neutral Evil) are inherently evil. I don't think Lenin could be considered Chaotic.

Chaotic Evil revolution is only interested in destroying existing order. So the evil and strong can rule.

Milani seems adecuate, and acording to the wiki is highly popular in Galt. Personaly I see her like a Jeanne of Arc-inspiring deity.

Grand Lodge

what I mean is: can I use a Feat of Legendary Games with a Pathfinder Society character? I suppose no.

Grand Lodge

Continual beheadings and riots doesn't look like a take-it-easy way.

Poland was in state of turmoil in the XVIII century and her rapacious neighbours mostly devored her.

Perhaps the reason is the lack of enemies: the River Kingdoms have enough problems fighting themselves. Kyonin isn't expansionist (AFAIK), and Taldor has the Verduran Forest between and other problems.

Of course, there are polytical movements, ploting cults, etc.

Is there a god of revolution? A Chaotic Neutral one?

Galt is a very interesting country, and I've looking for more info about it at official products, but nothing AFAIK (not even a module setted in Galt). I always ask myself how a country which has spent 60 years in perennial revolution can still survive.

Perhaps the PCs could be real Bonapartes, raising the armies to defend Galt from foreign invaders (Cheliax?), then facing revolutionary turmoil, next taking power (to save the homeland, of course!).

Aux armes, citoyenns!

Hello, I bought Ultimate Battle of Legendary Products. While it's sold here at paizo, I'm not sure it's official stuff.

Grand Lodge

Personaly I would enjoy something about Galt and the revolution.

Grand Lodge

Interesting points, Zoom.

My question is if a Swarm could use the magic of his host. Being divine, it comes from a deity, and perhaps the god/goddess doesn't provide to a possessed cleric/druid.

Grand Lodge

Becouse his god wouldn't allow this use of his divine power?

Grand Lodge

I'm a GM at my current game. One of my players (a druid) has been possessed by a chatterer swarm. Is the swarm abble to use his divine magic? Or directing his animal companion? Personaly I think not, but I wanted to ask the sages. So what's your opinion?

Grand Lodge

In ancient Rome, under the XII tables, fathers could sell their sons as slaves as much as three times.

I stil haven't thinked what the devil gave. But probably was some sort of magical item the forefather used to gain a (linnorm) kingdom.

Winning allies would be a big part of the future campaign.

For the moment the devil has sent an Accuser to spy the PCs.

ASCALAPHUS.

Good points, I need to think about them. Perhaps the devil would like to keep the PC alive until his 32 year, eh?

Grand Lodge

Soon I will send the players to search the original contract of the devil deal. Where can you find that? Is there somewhere in the planes, a register? Perhaps a powerful being Lawful neutral being served as third part?

Grand Lodge

I expect this will be available in my city soon.

Grand Lodge

Brox, good idea.

Robin, this looks like a standar clausule.

I wonder..: Where can you appeal if you disagree with the contract? to a Infernal Court?

I'm thinking about having all the PC becoming "blood brothers" in a sort of barbaric ritual. So all of them become subject to the deal!

Grand Lodge

Wraithstrike: I've already accepted, so "no" is not an option! Now I've to ride the tiger.

So I think they will travel to Absolom to find the original contract. Perhaps it is kept in a crypt in the Abadar temple.

I think 10 levels in six months is too much.

I agree: better an archienemy alive than a dead foe.

Grand Lodge

Thanks everybody.
I think I'll start by make them find the contract. The clausule idea was a good one, but sooner or later they would meet the devil.
I don't like the idea of having players able to snuff a devil. It will be an epic moment.
Also having an angel in the fray could be fun, but only if it isn't a real deus ex machina.

Grand Lodge

Hello, I just started directing a play with 5th level characters. One of the players said his PC had an ancestral curse. Every time a member of his family is 32 years old, a horned devil (cornugon) comes for his soul (and body!). He is currently 30, so his motivation is clear!

For now they are in their first mission: find a sage able to help them (a mothman). But in the long way, I've to think about the final meeting with the devil. I don't think it can wait until they are level 12-13.

SO any idea?
