Hey Redeux,
I would be down. I would need to look a bit closer at the exact hero I would play but I would be interested in playing either the Bard (not Lem need a break from him) or the Gunslinger deck depending on needs of the group.
I would also most likely need help with google hangouts because I am not sure how to use that to communicate.
Hi all, I will be playing as Ukuja from the Hunter deck. No add on.
I am currently in the Eastern time zone and will be jumping back and forth between Central and Eastern to visit family. I typically check discord 3-4 times a day so if we are using that I can keep us up to date. This is my first time playing with new rules so may need help during turns.

Because of this, I would recommend that Korundo goes first or second because Leryn will give me the potential to let us know up to the top 3 cards at a location will be.
Examines are good, but the Fog Bank (which we're stuck at to start the game) has a power that makes them moot:
After a character at any location examines cards in this location deck, shuffle it.
Ah missed that. Well still going to stick with leryn because I feel like she will help us after we can move from this location to get ahead.
Displayed: Deck: 11 Discard: 0 Buried: 0

I wanted to know if you had an estimate of when the discord would be set up and everything. (havent used discord before so trying to figure out what i need to do for it.
also as a few questions for the play by forum:
1) when we start a new scenario, how does all the initial setup stuff happen, like determining who gets what loot or where each person is going to be located? Or does player 1 just jump right in and that will be decided once we get started.
2) how do we determine turn order.
Idk of any others off top of my head but I figured I will think of more by march 11.
My group will be hitting this scenario next week and was thinking this sounded to easy as well. Has there ever been an official ruling how we should handle this?
I just got a base set of rise of the ruinlords off a garage sale for cheap. I was thinking of soloing the adventures in the box. I figured I could easily pilot 2 characters at once. Is there any recommendation on which 2 characters work well together?
As a newish player who wants to use this time of transition to really get into the game more, even if i have to play as several players as once to get some games going, I really want them to expand a bit on the subscription service and how old class decks will play into this. Especially if they want me long term.
Currently my thought process is just buy the new core and use my hunter and bard decks and go from there as I want to add more, but I want to know things like are they planning to redo some of the old class decks? New class decks? Adventure books that can use the current cards? Possibility of allowing these adventure books in the core and curse to be counted toward organized play?
Also I personally would like to see a 1-2 month gap between the release of the core and curse to make it easier to buy both money wise as well as string out the enjoyment. The only downside to this is core only contains up to 4 players.
Idk I just want more info about the future vision of this game. I enjoy it because it’s a nice logic puzzle and just want to play more.
Sorry to see you go as well. Hopefully we get a 5th to round out the team. where it looks like we could run into trouble is intelligence and dexterity. really most worried about the intelligence.
Hrm, that is odd. Give it another try and let me know if it's still not working. I tried it while signed out of google and it seemed to work, but better to confirm with someone else.
Morph, your deckhandler works fine for me.
I have 5 deck boxes, so if anyone is missing the once per scenario reroll option I can certainly "share" one.
It is working now.
I do not have a deck box? What is this bonus reroll you are talking about?
You can play cards without limit in-between steps of a turn. During a step of a turn, you cannot play cards unless the step explicitly says that you can (and these usually limit your plays in some way, shape, or form).
Is there anyway that this is normally handled then if I want to play something at the start of someones turn after my turn goes? Just make a note after I reset hand that this card is played the moment the blessing deck advances?
You put your cohort(s) in cells C39/C40 and that will put their text into your hand summary regardless of whether the cohort is displayed or in your deck/discard. Cell C42 will populate the skill bonuses you get from your cohort(s) and include this information in your hand summary when they are displayed. Feel free to make a copy of the excel sheet or follow my formula logic to see how I implemented that.
I plan to use a bit of your stuff but with my deck manager already made, I figured I would just copy and paste stuff as relevant and made a cohort tab seperate. Dont have time to figure out google sheets scripts at moment.
Like I said in an above post, since this is the first time I have used a deck manager, if someone could double check that I did not break anything that would be great.
Secondly I realized about Alias after I started posting and I do not want to break anything to switch over to saying Morph147 Korundo like the rest of you have switched to your characters. This way it will be less confusing on who I am playing later.
As far as characters go, honestly anything will work as long as it's a character you'll enjoy.
That being said, there are a few things that we might want to have as a group to make our lives easier.
This season is based off of SnS, as you seemed to already know, so we are going to want to have some characters that are good at survival, some characters that are good at Craft, and some WIS and/or CON based character. To a minor degree, it would be good to have someone with the Knowledge skill.
If you find a character that you'd like to play that has one or more of those things, then I think it would be a great idea to choose them. Otherwise, choose what you like best and we'll make it work.
To go based off this Korundo has a CON of a D10, and a WISDOM of a d8 with the survival: WISDOM+2. So this character would be useful to cover these gaps based off what I am seeing.
Does someone have the Charisma area covered? Korundo's Divine Skill is under wisdom.
Also do we have a healer of some sort? Korundo can do some based off the cards but not consistently.
Apologize for the double post but just realized about the Alias thing under Characters. Is there a way to update this to show I am using Korundo to make it easier for everyone?
Hi all, I am new to playing by forum so bear with me.
I plan to play with the Hunter Deck and play as Korundo. I am working on building a deck handle sheet and will send it over to make sure I am not missing anything. I do not plan on using an ultimate deck because I like the challenge of not having one at the moment.
He gets one cohort at the beginning of each scenario. Once I know the scenario I will let you know who I will be playing with.
BR skizzerz is there anything else I need to do to set up?
EDIT: Here is the start of my card deck handler, My son woke up before I could get stuff entered in so I need to go deal with him. I will get it taken care of from there. BR skizzerz, the big question I have for you is there any thing that should be added to this?
EDIT 2: Am i suppose to send a picture or something to prove that I do own the hunter class deck to someone? I saw something on this but a little confused by it.
Mmmm intersesting so far. I think I would be able to do this, even though haven’t played on mummy mask before. If I sign up do I need to have my character picked already or can I have time? I need to take a moment and see what class deck I can go get picked up and want to play
You can decide later. I'd still recommend reserving a spot at a table by putting down your Paizo username and filling the rest out as TBD. Then do some research on what class deck you want and just make sure you have it in hand before the start of the event (March 11). Don't forget to update the sign up sheet once you figure out what class deck/character you're using.
If you need help narrowing down the class decks or have any more questions, feel free to ask us in the discussion page. Thanks!
Reservation made. Hopefully joined a group who is willing to show me ropes a bit.
I am interested in Joining in on a play online for the card game. I am a bit confused on how it works though. How do other players play stuff during your turn like blessings? How does exploring work if the cards are not in front of me? Will people be upset in my group if I choose not to play with an ultimate deck?
Also how do dice rolls work? Am I rolling the dic3 and reporting it or what?
All the players at the end of their turn will post what cards are in their hand and will often leave notes of cards that they are willing to have used in certain situations if needed. So you can just use them if those conditions come up. Alternatively, all the games I've been in have made use of a Google Hangout for real time chat, so you can just ask if you need some assistance.
Deck handling is done typically through a google sheet, and many people seem to add card text to their sheets so they can play without the cards as reference. Here's my sheet for reference. Nok-Nok's Sheet I've seen a lot of different versions and I keep iterating on mine as I find things I like. You can probably find a dozen different sheets running around that handle the same idea in different ways.
I've also found PACG Wiki to be really helpful for cards that I don't know or for upgrading on the road.
Ultimate decks do have some nice options, but primarily they exist to provide the player with more options for upgrade and maybe allow them to customize their build in a more unique fashion, but all of the class decks stood on their own prior to the Ultimates being a thing.
Dice rolls are done by a dice function within the paizo board... subbing out what would be an i with 1 so it shows the expression: [d1ce]1d10[/d1ce]
Not sure if you've taken a look at any of the games in progress, but here's a link to the...

Also more thoughts now that I am thinking about it. The core game and curse, if I want to play curse I need to use both the core game and curse and mix the cards together. But then when the next adventure expansion comes out or if I just want to play with the core game story, I will need to separate the cards. On current games there is the name of what deck that belongs to but I do not see this on the new cards. Is there still going to be something to make it easy to separate?
Will the box be designed so we can easily separate out the levels that we are not using?
The more I am thinking about it the more I like the fact basic and elite are going to be eliminated. It is going to make B/C cards interesting though in class decks because some are going to have to become level 0 and some are going to have to be level 1.
One thing that confused me though is vaulting and level like in Society games. The way I read your blog it seems like in a Level 2 adventure, only level 2 cards will be in the game, or will level 0, 1 and 2 cards all be valid.
My other confusion (and this is partially because I have only played society games and never with the stuff in the box), but what is this book that comes with it? Is this existentially the next season of society? If not then will we still be getting new seasons of society? Can I play the adventure book that comes with each game like a season of society, where I choose one hero and just play or does that not work?
Been a while since we got an update on the next base set. When is that coming out? Is the game plan still to make this the base set of all base sets and moving forward the adventure decks will be built around this base?
