I'm using FGU for this game, but what I did is let the rats prints that were near the body help the players find the places they need to visit. it's in the game that if the players used perception they will see the rat prints around Myron's body in the big tent, going out into the campsite. It's on page 11; above A1. Pond.

Whenever I read "the Hermitage of Blessed Lightning" my mind went to "Greased Lightning" the song from the movie Grease. My first inclination was to just call it that in my game as a minor joke. But then I saw the true potential.

So I wrote and commissioned a parody of Greased Lighting entitled Blessed Lightning and tonight I had the first retainers in the hermitage perform it as a song and dance number to exposit on their hatred of Abberton.

I hope this is alright to share here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ha5EB8R7DQs

Can you add the lyrics in the comment bellow the video?

The whole "one save every 24 hour" is only if a PC gets petrified.

Otherwise the devs have said it's "..if the creature isn’t petrified, the slowed condition ends once 1 minute passes without the creature failing a saving throw against calcification. Please use that!" It's an oversight which haven't been errataed in the Bestiary yet.

Thank you !!!! I was trying to find this answer

Ok, so my player's did not found the Cockatrice on the night of the murder. On the next day of gameplay I told them that they were wake up by the cries of terrorized horses . They began the battle against the Cockatrice, and the Cockatrice manage to slow: 2 one of the PC.

While reading the monster effect it says:
Calcification (incapacitation, primal, transmutation) A peck from a cockatrice hardens the flesh of the creature struck. The target must succeed at a DC 20 Fortitude save or become slowed 1 (or slowed 2 on a critical failure). Further failed saves against calcification increase the slowed condition. Once a creature’s actions are reduced to 0 by calcification, that creature becomes petrified.
Every 24 hours after it was petrified, the victim can attempt a DC 20 Fortitude save to recover. On a success, it becomes flesh again, but is slowed 1 for the next 24 hours. On a critical success, the creature recovers and isn’t slowed. On a failure, the creature remains petrified, but can try again in 24 hours. On a critical failure, the petrification is permanent, and the creature can’t attempt any more saves

Does that mean that the PC must throw a DC every 24 hrs to cure himself of the slow? For example.....
Day 1- was a success it became slow 1 ( the player can now do two actions)
Day 2- failure estay the same
Day 3- success the regains all of his actions

I used Barnum from the Greatest Showman as my dead Myron, and. Used this site for the image of the sideshow of everyday Marvel

mmm 3.5 catfolk(races of the wild) have always call me but I could hardly use it because my favorite class is a druid.
For druids the best class for me, is an Assimar.

Hey, thanks for the response, but a bit too late. Getting a dog was his idea, and I'm not sure why. Sadly, fish-dog, as the rest of the party named him since he was originally a fiendish fish, is no longer with us. The arcane heirophant succumbed to a finger of death from a nightwing, turning fish-dog into a normal dog. He couldn't withstand the barrage of cone of colds that followed.

lol, hahah... Poor fish-dog and the player that played the arcane heirophant.

oh, and nop, sorry that it was to late. I like to see anything animal companion related. the rules of how to get an animal companion in 3.5 mades me dizzy with stupidity. they should just gave us a equation to turn regular animals into animal companions, instead of a list. After reading it for soooo many time I finally got the hidden equation >< just don't ask me to explain, I suck at that.XD

thanks for reading, my brother told me what to do.
I adjusted some soulknife sheets and made it a soulbow here is the link with a prestige that I made a long time ago XD.

I'm running a party through the Savage Tide adventure path and the 18th level Arcane Heirophant has been without an animal companion for some time and is looking to replace it. Unfortunately, they're on Gaping Maw, Demogorgon's level of the Abyss, and there are no regular animals to be found (they're all fiendish, making them magical beasts). The player has come up with a solution that looks good to me, but I wanted to check here to see if anybody knew a reason it didn't follow RAW.

His plan is to find some extremely weak inhabitant of the plane and cast baleful polymorph on it. Assuming it fails both saves, he's left with a normal dog, which he then intends to peform the ceremony ** spoiler omitted **on to make it his companion.

Like I said, it all looks clean to me, but with the heavy changes made to polymorph across 3.5 I thought I'd get some input. Thanks.

I think thats a good idea to get a companion, but why a dog? you can make it into a bird animal like an eagle. then later do the ceremony to advance it up.while I like dogs, I can see birds be more practical. you can make it so that he has a medium eagle or even a dire eagle.

Hi!, I been doing this character for about 4 days and finally I kinda finish it. (still needs the items XD) but some feats which I thought stack with each other does not do so and those feat are the famous Manyshot and Rapid shot. I know, you are probably thinking: "Oh! no, its that stupid dreaded old question that keeps appearing, why don't you just look around for somebody that already answer it?" well the thing is that I got hell of a lot confuse trying to understand the simple meaning of the mathematical equation put on the attack on both damage and attack rolls. well also my character is not a simple ranger.... well its not a ranger at all is a Gestal soulknife/ fighter with the prestige of soulbow.

My character important stats to help solve this mind-crashing equation.
Gestal soulknife/ fighter LV :6
soulbow LV: 3
Base attack bonus:+8/+1
Mind Arrow Bonus: +2
Mind arrow enchantment:+1 (psychokinetic = +1d4,extra on damage)

Dex Mod : +6
Wis: +3
Psychic Strike : 1d8

Feats:
1-Rapid Shot
You can get one extra attack per round with a ranged weapon. The attack is at your highest base attack bonus, but each attack you make in that round (the extra one and the normal ones) takes a –2 penalty. You must use the full attack action to use this feat.

2-Many Shot
As a standard action, you may fire two arrows at a single opponent within 30 feet. Both arrows use the same attack roll (with a -4 penalty) to determine success and deal damage normally (but see Special).

For every five points of base attack bonus you have above +6, you may add one additional arrow to this attack, to a maximum of four arrows at a base attack bonus of +16. However, each arrow after the second adds a cumulative -2 penalty on the attack roll (for a total penalty of -6 for three arrows and -8 for four).

3- greater Many Shot
When you use the Manyshot feat, you can fire each arrow at a different target instead of firing all of them at the same target. You make a separate attack roll for each arrow, regardless of whether you fire them at separate targets or the same target. Your precision-based damage applies to each arrow fired, and, if you score a critical hit with more than one of the arrows, each critical hit deals critical damage.

4- weapon focus (mind Arrow)
You gain a +1 bonus on all attack rolls you make using the selected weapon.

5-weapon specialization(mind Arrow)
You gain a +2 bonus on all damage rolls you make using the selected weapon.
6-Mind strike Focus
If you expend your psionic focus when you imbue your mind blade with a psychic strike, the destructive energy instilled in your blade deals one more die of damage.

How normally the attack is made with out any feats:

Mind Arrow(1d8):

Base Attack:
+8/+1 + 6(dex)+ 2(mind arrow bonus)= +16/+7 (I hope I am correct, the second attack is -2 penalty, right?)

Attack roll:
first arrow:
1d8 + 3(wis)+2 (Mind arrow bonus) + 1d4 (psychokinetic)+ 2d8(psychic strike)

second arrow:
1d8 + 3(wis)+2 (Mind arrow bonus) + 1d4 (psychokinetic)(does the penalty still stand?)

thanks! for reading, I would love it, if someone can help me out... *sigh* that's what I get for wanting to be a awesome archer for once. XD normally I'm just a druid.
