Cleric 5 -> Cleric 6
New Domain ability: Good Fortune (Ex): At 6th level, you can reroll any one roll that you have just made before the results of the roll are revealed. You must take the result of the reroll, even if it’s worse than the original roll. You can use this ability once per day at 6th level, and one additional time per day for every six cleric levels beyond 6th. I'll be re-picking spells as well, so need to update that part of my profile.

Seeing a need to salve Kragnir's hurt, but unwilling to draw too near to the practitioner of dark magics, Mihai holds back and sends forth a wave of warming energy to bolster the dwarf...
Male Human (Varisian) Cleric (Varisian Pilgrim archetype) 6
Apologies, can't see the map so I don't know how legal this is... Mihai skirts the edge of the pit to bring himself closer to Kragnir. Though the mighty dwarf reels with the beast's blows... he remains their best hope in seeing it swiftly ended. He therefore extends the grace of the Walker unto him once again... Move 30ft closer, then Bit o' Luck on Kragnir again
Male Human (Varisian) Cleric (Varisian Pilgrim archetype) 6
Holding his position Mihai sees a quick resolution to the conflict as the best path forward, and extends the will of Sinishakti unto ____ to that effect. Bit o' Luck on whoever makes a successful reflex and stays out of the pit. Priority of target is Kragnir -> Wic -> Nim.

Weary and sorrowful as his tenuous harrowed link had been severed to two of his companions this night Mihai shakes his head at Balani's question "I do not know Balani... it seemed a creature of shadow and death, but I know not it's name." and with that, Mihai moves to continue tending to Tragershen and the two fallen guards. Turning to the other guardsmen he asks "Would they meet their end in the earth or be put to flame to join the air?"
Male Human (Varisian) Cleric (Varisian Pilgrim archetype) 6
As Kragnir's blow makes Mihai's intended sacrifice moot, he is left once again at an impasse. Closing his eyes a moment he casts a mental plea for guidance and feels an intangible pull back towards his companions. Sighing with resigned tone, Mihai sweeps back along the path he took and seeks to sustain Kragnir's belligerence...
Channel Positive to Heal: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 5) = 12 excluding the demon

Huh? - what difficult terrain?
Male Human (Varisian) Cleric (Varisian Pilgrim archetype) 6
Spiritual Hammer? - if you're letting us take 3.5 stuff then I've got a few more tasty things on my list :P Spiritual Weapon on the other hand... would have a 55% chance of outright failure from SR, followed by 50% miss chance on each attack and even after all that would only deal 1d8+1... Sure, worth it... and maybe Mihai could've considered it if he had any idea we'd be facing a demonic shadow. Funnily holy water would be even more useless... if the demon was in melee Mihai would need to hit a natural 20 to even make contact :P

The inherent problem with 'surrounding' the shadow demon is that it's impossible. Given the incorporeal nature and perfect fly speed it would be able to escape through the dirt or through the air any time it wanted. The options really depend on what happens next:
2) It stays and kills everyone else, which potentially results in a live Mihai. The first is really the only one that offers a 'play it out' scenario. Though since Corbius is still booking it as well there's a chance he might not be dead. The thing that annoys me about how I assume it's written into the AP is where's the foreshadowing? How were we to know that we were potentially walking into shadow demon territory? It was a bit of a fluke that it lasted as long as it did, since if Mihai didn't have daylight memorized we would have been in deeper darkness the whole time. Ultimately I'm happy to flow with the group. I've got character concepts that I could fold into whatever, or we can at least play this out and see what's left over.

Demon's got a +12 to Sense Motive, so even with the -4 penalty there's a 40% chance he sees through the ruse... then it's a question of whether it's 14 Int is enough to realise that it can just kill the rest of you now and chase me at it's leisure.
Male Human (Varisian) Cleric (Varisian Pilgrim archetype) 6
If I start now I might just get enough of a lead by the time he finishes off the rest of you to have a chance :P ... though there is one other moronic option... Mihai quickly realises that this creature is far beyond them... to stand would be to die... and with a heavy heart realizes that there was a path that needed to be walked... alone... Calling upon all the grace his patron provides...
30ft as a move action directly away from the critter.

It's a CR7 creature that's incorporeal, with high DR, that casts shadow evocation as a 10th level caster 3 x per day... and has the ability to magic jar... or in other words, not really CR 7 (at least in my book). If you were really playing him 'well' you'd be fireballing from the air where we would have even less chance of returning fire :P

Willpower: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
17+14 = 31/33 HP Feeling the press of the flames despite his ability to disbelieve them, Mihai channels to attempt to salve some of the wounds suffered...
