"Good day to you my lord. May I ask, are you a pious man? Do you follow the tenants of Father Church within your realm?" He waits to see the goat-man's reaction and response.

Medraut offers the woman attentively, trying to understand what may have caused the bruises - a fight? An accident?

Medraut raised an eyebrow in contempt for the half goat men. Somehow he managed to stay silent, and not insult them.

"Lets go then"

"Finally!" - Medraut scowled, making a mental note to remember NOT to tip the innkeeper.

Then his eyes went wide as Raff offered a gold coin to the lad - "Did you just give a gold piece to that boy?"[B] - the wizard chuckled - [b]"I wasn't expecting that"

I think I had asked for tea and porridge some time ago?" - Medraut lift an eyebrow at the innkeeper.

"Seems we have a deal" - the wizard nodded.

"Equal shares?" - Medraut added, matter of fact to Rafferty - "That and maybe you can explain to me what I am doing wrong here, and why the tea and porridge have not arrived at the table yet" - he scowled.

”Hmm… doesn’t sound like that big of a problem…… the knight began to reply when the moss dwarf shouts for Raff. She looks to the rogue wondering what trouble he has gotten into now.

”As far as I know, those are probably night worms” - the wizard looks around in frustration, waiting for his food and tea - ”They are as mindless as any other worms, but their large size and the fact they usually are encountered in groups, makes them of course more dangerous”

Hey everyone.

Wanted to let you know I will be traveling from the 19th December through the 3rd January, visiting family and so forth. I expect to have some time for posting but... It is completely unpredictable :D

Feel free to bot me as needed!

Medraut rolled his eyes as Yennifer invited this Shadwell youngster to sit down, then turned to the woman - "A light meal, and some tea" - he requested.

Medraut has been so quiet (as usual), the others didn't even notice him there standing and scowling (as usual), until he pulled a chair to sit next to them - "What on earth is a pook's pudding?" - he asked Yennifer with his usual bad mood, not to be expected from someone as young as the mage apprentice. Yet this one always seemed mad at the world.

He pulled back the cowl of his traveling cloak, letting the unusually greying hair loose, and setting the backpack next to him in easy reach. In spite of his life being dedicated to scholarly pursuits, Medraut was decently well built and not in bad shape, probably from all the traveling - "And why would they have it here?" - he looked around the inn.

Going with the assumption we already know each other, so you won't simply kick Medraut to the curb :P

Hmmm I was expecting to get a 'tankish' character leading the way, so I could burn them down with Burning Hands ;) As it is:

Moving right and up from Demya and casting Ray of Frost on green bad guy.

It seems the bad guys have changed positions... Shouldn't I have acted before them?

I've got a spell to cast, but the range is short, and I really shouldn't step up in their face, being a level 1 wizard and all :P

GM Bourgeoisx, is there actually any further loot? I was assuming not, but Medraut would search teh bodies of the creatures they fought, and also use Detect Magic to trace magical auras ;)

Medraut wanders for some time midst the remains of their previous combat, stopping momentarily to utter a few arcane words, then continuing, picking up this or that piece of bone and examining it thoroughly.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

"After all the ruckus during last night, who would be calmly cooking just a tad further ahead - I find it all very odd" - the wizard's analytical mind comes to the surface as he listens to the others, and feels the scent himself - "We should proceed carefully"

"I can take the first watch" - the wizard pipes in - "I am Medraut, by the way" - he adds.

Medraut presses on after his companions, trying to find range to make his spells count.

You are right GM Bourgeoisx, I was looking at the wrong one - thanks for updating my icon position in the correct map. I got it now :D

I think we are doing good GM Bourgeoisx - it is normal that both players and GM are still looking for their pace and posting rhythms, but so far so good :D

Don't worry about the story, and don't rush it - there is time to find the ins and outs of what is in store for us. From my perspective, that is one of the most interesting aspects of RPG, that and blowing bad guys into smithereens ;)

I'm gonna assume everyone's position is up to date, and move my icon on the map accordingly. Also, there are no further skeletons close to us, correct? Because I still see one that has not been crossed off?

As the door behind them closes, they spot a robed figure dashing alongside them, and taking a position slightly behind Daz - with arcane gesture, the man conjures a ray of pure cold, sending it towards one of the ambling undead - "Yes, I know I shouldn't be here - I was approaching when you entered the cave. As the entrance closed, I decided to run in after you, and here we are" - he offers an hurried explanation.

Taking a few liberties here in assuming Medraut could know something about it - let me know if we strike this one from the records :D

"Whatever cannot be used by our group, we should find a way to convert into currency that can be applied in further provisioning us" - Medraut adds.

"Now... I am wondering where Ilquis could have gone off to - I don't think we can track him down..."

@Corso: "I have ways to magically outline and reveal invisible creatures - I will be better prepared next time we meet with him" - the wizard comments with a smile.

Medraut calls out to Corso as he finds the interesting objects, to assist him in carrying them outside, describing what he has found to everyone so they perhaps can put them to use.

Don't think Medraut has much use for any of the items ;)

Corso waits for the healers to return: "medraut, any trick up your sleeve to even the odds? He took on all of us without too much trouble..."

Medraut nods at Corso with a smile - "One thing I can guarantee you my friend - Ilquis will not be catching us offguard again. After pondering our last encounter, I would say that he does not present much of a threat, except for his invisibility" - his eyes narrowing, the wizard adds - "I will make sure to deny that advantage the next time we meet..."

Medraut will cast Detect Magic, and while the others are freeing the captives from the wax, he will be scouring the areas and all rooms throughly
