we'll put Krom at the last action for now until he rolls and he can hop in and roll whenever.

init:

Quinn 21
Tae 14
Bofgar 12
Violant 7
SPiders 6

As you enter the room, as suspected, there are spiders about, three large spiders climb about on the ceiling. shifting in anticipation of their diner being delivered.

round1

Lets go ahead and get an init roll please, I am going to give you guys a certain amount of rounds to make your call.

Hmmm, I suppose I could just post in the ooc about I'm going to try to get the pace at a bit more a brisker rate.

Yeah, I am pretty jealous of your gm skill. I'm a bit hesitant on pacing, I don't like leaving anyone behind.

(Tae I will let you adjust if you'd like after noting what has happend with the stone)

As the lit up stone flyies into the room a pair of webs come flying down at the glowing pebble, Yet nothing further moves. It is fairly obvious that something or someone is in the next room nd racted to the stone apparently it was only temporarily interested in the stone.

The area appears to be fairly devoid of life and traps.Entering from the eastern wall it is almost immediately apparent that the south wing of the tower took the majority of the debris from the collapse but the eastern wing is littered with chunks of stone as well. The Northern wing seems to have the least amount of damage. Thick Gossamer webs hang from the ceiling like tapestries.

ground floor

Whether it was because of the ferocious display you all displayed or a simple lac of other creatures due to the dogs or the centipede, you don't know, however you are certain of one thing, there is nothing left in your path. As you approach the ruined siege castle now being called the Fallen Fortress rises out of the churned earth of the Cairnlands. No doors or
windows mar the otherwise smooth expanse of the tower’s walls. The tower is quatre foil in plan; its eastern wing has largely collapsed, exposing the interior floors to the open air. Only the topmost level seems whole, though its eastern portion hangs precariously over the mountain of rubble left by the collapse. At ground level, the rubble frames a gaping hole in the side of the building that provides access to the tower’s darkened interior.

QUinn and Taecuss throw in their lot with the others spooking the dogs.

Quinn1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Taecuss1d20 ⇒ 14

Quinn leans to the ground and makes an odd low growl just as krom makes his howl. Taecuss shines his blade reflecting the moon light into the dogs eyes as Bofgar and Violant holler at the dogs, as the group makes the effort the dogs bolt away and don't look like they intend on returning anytime soon.

The path before you seems wide open and free of trouble.

If I get two assists, that'll bring you up to the fifteen you need. on that note, is it getting a little slow? anything I can do to help?

give me an intimidate, anybody wanting to assist is more than welcome.

bofgar:
A group of mangy dogs are about a sixty feet off just at the edge of your sight, it looks as if they are trying to make their minds up about whether you all are worth the trouble.

Pepper nudges Violant slightly wagging his whole back end and continues his work another moment or two pass of the dogs nose to the ground and starts looking around as if there is something about.

The terrain looks fairly barren from between you and the tower with little to no movement. The centipede has set a certain mood about the area that makes you want to keep your hands not too far away from your weapons. A chill breeze seems to flow from behind you. The ocean's salty bite easily marked to those of you from the area.

Pepper seems a bit more excited as he sniffs the ground near by the centipede tracking circles curiously.

lol....blade.must be elven thing.

Its ok, that was my bad, I should have taken the charge into account, as is I'll let it stand. there are plenty more where he came from. BWhahahahahaha...erhmmm. nothing.

rolling for Quinn.1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 101d6 ⇒ 6

Another crushing blow by Bofgar signals the end of the centipede, a second bolt smacks against its carapace but ricochets off of the beast. Taecuss slips in a bit of the greenish blood that sprayed out of the bugs left eye. His bland lands but ineffectively. Krom silences the centipedes death wail with a heavy handed smash. Violant's prayers for guidance were obviously answered by the failed monstrous bug.

Pepper sees the big thing fall and as Quinn seems to relax the dog instinctively moves to its side.

As you survey the map from Ilishna and compare it to the point you are a, it is obvious that the tower you are looking for is ahead, but with some distance between you yet. upon close inspection you can tell that the damage done to this previously impenetrable tower is vast for something that was once rumored to be so sturdy. nearly a whole quarter of the round tower's wall is missing.

The moon shines off of the odd stone used to build for it almost beckoning you to your destiny.

The dwarf’s massive axe strikes true, and a cross bow bolt pierces the centipede’s side shortly after compliments of Quin. Violant stands back and bestows guidance on Taecuss. Tae and Krom move forward in unison preparing to take on the Centipede as well.

The centipede attempts to bite the wicked dwarf that has left a massive gash in its shell.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

The centipede gets its mouth around Bofgar and starts to squeeze but doesn't seem to like the way Bofgar fits in his pincers, backing his head up with alien thoughts of trying again.

status:
buggy36-20=16

round2

Nice map btw.

lol, sure. That is good with me. sorry about the off and on my rp has been taking hits do to RL. (throws dice at rl) should be up and running tonight.

thats fine, you can see the heavy construction I am putting it under.

good time to break a streak and a 19 damage attack isn't a bad way to start it.

actually, we are going to call it low light, the moon is full and particularly bright this evening, later on you will be dealing with dark.

lol, I love ms paint. Bofgar is unlike any take you have made before. for he is....BOFGAR THE DESTROYER!

round1

init:
rolling init to get things moving.

Krom 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (11) + 0 = 11
Bofgar1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Quin1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Taecuss1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Violant1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Buggy1d20 + 0 ⇒ (10) + 0 = 10

Bofgar 20
Quin 17
Taecuss 12
Krom 11
Violant 10
Buggy 10

From the rubble of a long forgotten tower a giant centipede runs out you its size making the common bug look alien and wicked, its shiny carapace looking like well polished armor, but by far the most terrible aspect of the thing running toward you is the Large mouth, its pincers clicking at you hungrily.

having net issues, back asap.

even at this distance you can see that the damage to the formerly inmpenertrable tower is vast, it almost appears as if you could enter on multiple levels. While most of you are peering at the tower Violant notices movement in the distance.

Violant:
off to the right of the path you are currently on you see something quite large climbing over the rubble. you can only see a portion of it but it keeps passing buy flowwinfg through the spot over and over like a segmented insect... a centipede perhaps?

(( if you need anything just let me know in the ooc and when can handle it off screen if its ok with you. feel free to fill in the time.))

Roland looks to quin and grins, those meat pies brought the costumers, this is the second batch that has asked me to take them where ever I got the food I was eating, it sounds like a lucrative deal for us both, I'll eat and advertise and the passengers will have no choise but to fall into the sawy of your family's cooking. I'll speak with them about it upon my return. "Let me know if you need to stop anywhere on the way out of town."

With a wave Roland gets you past the guards, that typically like to adventures at least a good talking to before they go out to find their way. but it seems that Roland knows them well enough that he has no qualms with not evening slowing.

As you go you see a two small groups that seem to be heading in the same direction. The disappointment easily painted on their faces as you cover the distance that they can't make on foot.

Roland puts his mind into getting somewhere and as you leave the city the horses seem to pep up at the fact they don't have to worry about other pedestrians and the hustle and bustle of the city. With in an hour you are easily two thirds of the way in and Roland pulls his wagon into a turn, The old man a couple hours back spoke with Quinn about where they were headed and changed his course a bit.

"From what i've heard"he points with a gnarled finger more suited to wrapping itself around a pair of reigns." that is the tower you are looking for." The silhouette of the dark tower is cut by the bright moonlight the cairn lands are a testament to the power of Absalom and its might to stand against the several ruined buildings in this would be ghost town.

Ilishna being one to conveniently forget the presence of other women at times looks up to the young lady and looks a little surprised to see her fast return. Well off with you then, Good luck, don't let them get too out of line! she waves to the last of the adventurers.

they grow up so fast.

-------------------

" My names Roland by the way, and I can get you most of the way there, I'll turn around if I get that itchy feeling but my boys here can cut some time off the road for ya, and if nothing else your feet will thank ya." Roland the Wagoner waits until given the go ahead raising his eyebrows at the lass but keeping his tongue polite in check where her garb is concerned. He will pull off onto the main road of absalom and break into a quick pace.

Ilishna nods to Quinn and the other's I'll send Violant out front when she comes back down. Smiling lightly as Quinn seems like he can't wait to get on the move. Taecuss, Krom, Keep them safe. She says to the remaining pair.

--------------------------------------------------
A familiar Wagoner turns the corner bringing another batch of people around to the pub. "This is the place I got those meat pies, boys! I wish I found this place sooner." he can be heard telling a group of young men, they look like they've been at a long days work.

He pulls to a stop and looks to Drogar and Quin. You Gentlemen don't stay still for long do you?

I figured if we were starting a adventure in a tavern, we better touch on some other old school staples.

Spoiler:
well done! Drogar had a pretty good show as well. looks liek we have a riddle friendly group then.

ok guys, I am going to start stretching your riddle muscles, also I want to see what I am working with. so I don't throw something in that is just too much.

please no looking up answers, if I give you a challenge that is too hard, then a hint will be lurking somewhere.
so I give you the first exercise.

It's always 1 to 6,
it's always 15 to 20,
it's always 5,
but it's never 21,
unless it's flying.

indubitably!

Juicy post, up!

Ok, we'll stick with this thred then as it would just be a sill transition without more of a reason then changing the title.

just posted, do we want to go ahead and stick with the thread that we have? I don't see much sense in trading over now.

Garick-Quin bard half ling
Reyceid- Krom cleric half orc
mastermind -Bofgar Barbarian dwarf
Kal-Taecuss fighter elf
Servayn- Violant cleric

Dathom and Corso(Gwylinth) both passed up the glory that will be had. (we'll miss you guys)

and now on with the show. Looks like we just need word from reyceid that he is ready, in the mean time we will keep the satyr introductions going.

plot hooks soon!

Ok, no worries. Let us know if you change your mind when time settles down for ya! Thanks for the heads up.

On stage the Young male bard from your previous visit looks to the kitchen entrance and seems to finish up his song a bit quick then one might have expected. Bowing to the Female half-elf that has entered through the staff entrance per her usual. He holds up a hand to the applause that he gets for his abrupt ending of his skilled tune. Ladies, gentlemen. he makes a face at the crowd and smirks. Gentleman, I should say he says to a particularly aged halfling in the corner. The name for the rest you males I'd probably do better to not mention. the Crowd laughs, The female half-elf walks toward the stage even as she, removes her cloak and drapes it over the young Mika, who is grinning ear to ear at the woman's arrival. It is my pleasure to introduce, and soon your pleasure to bask in the musical talent of, Ilishna Blackbow! He starts to make his way off stage when Ilishna collars him and reels him back.

Ilishna speaks like a cool breeze in the sun baked desert.Oh, no you don't Brant, you have a lute and two working hands, if I am singing,it won't be with out you playing. she whispers something to him and he nods. She smiles a breath taking smile that you can't help but feel is meant just for you. As her voice pierces the Melody of the lute, you notice most are captivated and paying attention.

She sings and he plays.

*nods* True, there will be a bit for him to chance up on the group, in the pub, and if he doesn't get in right at the start, there is still another opportunity for him to hop in before it gets serious. things will probably really get rolling this weekend, I suspect.

2 for big

1 for split

1 non voter! if your candidate doesn't get elected then you can't complain...wait no, not that kind of non voter.

of course this is assuming that everyone is keeping a close eye on the thread and gives me opinions on to split or not and gets the last glance. everyone has approval and is ready to go except Lukasz, ( not harping on ya or anything, just hoping to see a complete sheet.)

2 for big

1 for split

I am going to get the Module kicked off tonight, I am going to keep it in intro mode until everyone who is going to join, is ready. leaving those who aren't all the way ready as nosey patrons who want to tag a long and will do so as you are given the low down.

It is simplistic to lead in from the Saytr(yay!)

Set Violant looks awesome! which gives us seven.

Garick-Quin bard half ling
Reyceid- Krom cleric half orc
mastermind -Bofgar Barbarian dwarf
Kal-Taecuss fighter elf
Corso –Gwlyinth witch elf
Servayn- Violant

Lukasz- is still working.
------

the module is looking fun so far!

lol,

Ok so voting time, do we go with two groups? or stick with what we got and go with one?

I'm going to dig in to the module and should have the opener up tonight!

The wagoner laughs as they take the same path they took on the way. He points to the still unconcious thug from before, He is now wearing only his pants and the vagabond children are no where to be found.

"Master dwarf, this ride will cost you very little, most of the fee will be paid in meat pies not to mention a good conversation and a better purpose, I could stare at the cathedral all day long."

The wagon pulls up to the front of the pub and he lets you all out, when he does another grouop walks out of the pub as you get out. He will wait for the meat pies and then he's off into town once more.

Now that my friend, sounds like an offer I would be foolish to turn down. The old man grins. Bofgar just got this ride for a whole lot cheaper the wagoner thinks to himself. the old waits patiently for the rest to decide if they are ready, the patience comes easy in the splendor of the view.

yup, That was my thinking. right now, if it sticks with 6, I think that is a pretty comfortable fit. but two fours work just as well, I suppose if it comes up we will take a vote on splitting the party, already having a 1 for the split *points at Scip*

Gylwinth of the crimson moon, you look good to go, I love the back ground and the traits and feats work for me. you are ready for the prelude if you like. If you have trouble we'll manage something no biggy.

Dathom, you still have a bit of time if you are working on something.

yup, Late on the 21st, I'm hoping to work the singing saytr into the intro, but I don't know if it'll work, I think I should be able to make it work, but if not the pathfinder may just prefer their tavern. just incase there are preset hijinks or some such.

so lets see we have.

Garick-Quin bard half ling
Reyceid- Krom cleric half orc
mastermind -Bofgar Barbarian dwarf
Kal-Taecuss fighter elf
Corso –Gwlyinth witch elf

Lukasz- is still working.
------

which leaves Janku and Servayn snubbing us. lol, j/k, I might throw it out there to them one more time. or maybe just go reread and double check that I invited them.

I appreciate the offer young Thinwhistle, but if I am to be prepared for when the world needs a god of wagons, well I better keep at it. he smirks. Not to mention the misses holds me to that statement about bringing home coin every day.

The wagoner shrugs. I dunno this is where Cayden got in, if they let him in I don't think there are too many that they could say are worse. his eyes widen and he pulls out a flask and takes a swig No, offense intended, merely that you adventuring types live us sensible men, with a lot of catch up work with the ladies. No, I haven't fought a ogre, no I haven't thrown a mad wizard from his tower, no woman i haven't dived into the sea to slay a serpent, I do bring home coin day after day though. he chuckles to himself. You never know it might be a single step towards the cathedral could have you commanding temple need building. Sounds like a lot of responsibility, and a whole lot more risk to find out if you are worthy though.

For me it starts with a name. I name the character and then realize what race they are, how their name and race effects who they became. roll some stats and fit it as best I can to the name race and attitude, I then move on to see that that person most likely became this class. and then I mix a couple drops of over the top caricature and I hit the ground running.

I warn you Mastermind/Bofgar, if Ox ever goes Rip(knocks on wood) you have an elven paladin/sorceror of Apsu coming your way. he will head towards dragon disciple.(if its approved of course. he is Lg to the max)

Dathom, we'd be glad to have you! make up what you like, I have since the first posts, allowed two sets of rules, and I am pretty sure you must have caught me saying it somewhere, but it bares repeating, free feat for a good background, just tie it in and its all yours.( really I am just looking for it to make a bit of sense.)
