Cart become full when ordering, so I split the order into two separate orders. Both orders are checked out and paid. Please optimize the shipping for the orders, as they are now separate. Altogether the shipping was bit of weird, for example sending two copies of the same book as separate packages. Please try to get the shipping price down by optimizing packages if possible. Reimburse my card for any applicable savings gained from optimization. If no savings are possible, that is fine as well even though the shipping cost more than the products combined. The orders in question are 7913853 and 9914897 (as in thread title).

I have seen Skill Focus (Use Magic Device) and could see myself picking it. I agree Perception is the uber skill because it is rolled the most, but I like UMD more, due to subjective fancy towards the skill and the vast expansion of options it brings.
In my city we have a huge demand for Tier 1-5 scenarios, and when a new 1-5 is offered alongside an old non-Tier 1-5 that people haven't played, they go for the new 1-5. This week I had to reschedule The Gauntlet! to 2018 and offer another table of The Shores of Heaven myself to meet the demand, because the veteran players opted for The Shores of Heaven instead of the Gauntlet. Level 6 dump is real. Also, players seem to play characters less and less as they go up in levels, instead opting to create new characters. New players appear constantly so I need to schedule Tier 1-5 scenarios steadily, which leads to having less timeslots available for higher tier games. tl;dr A growing community like mine needs many new Tier 1-5 scenarios.

Yeah, Finland has a very active PFS community in three cities (Helsinki, Tampere and Oulu). Alas the rural areas have next to none PFS, but we host multiple conventions with very affordable prices yearly. I know that many people who can't make it to the PFS events in the large cities play lots of games online as well. In fact, I started my PFS career hosting and playing online with gamers all over the world, before setting up PFS at my FLGS. The online Pathfinder community is still quite active in Finland, and we even had one online table for Legacy of the Stonelords hosted in the Frostbite 2014-miniconvention. Thanks all and congratulations Atte for becoming a VL. You prepare and host games extremely well, and your Bonekeep 1 run was one of my most memorable gaming experiences. Good luck for your 5* marathon :) ((It seems my 5th star doesn't show up yet, but I'm sure it will, in time.))
Hi all! Thank you for the position and the fancy title that comes with the package. I'll try my best in organizing PFS here in Oulu. The playerbase is very small up here, a home game every now and then and Jukka hosting a table or two at the biannual Maracon with questionable success. There's interest for Pathfinder in Oulu, that I know, it's just the matter of organization. I think with some effort two tables worth of eager players could be gathered from various home groups and gaming clubs. Luckily I have some contacts already and don't have to start from a scratch. This will be an interesting Fall for PFS in Oulu! ...I might have to bribe some players with promises of adamantine chainsaws and laser pistols, though. We'll see. I got into Pathfinder Society myself at the start of Season 4, when I played the First Steps trilogy hosted over IRC, Skype and Google Draw. From then on, I ended up GMing PFS online and eventually introduced my home group to it while continuing to host (and sometimes even play!) scenarios online. Eventually we switched from Google Draw to Roll20. There has been a year-long lull in non-online games in my area, but I'm sure season 6 will elicit enough interest to reboot the scene here. As for my RPG background in general, I've been playing for about four years now, starting in late 2010 in the GURPS system, hosting homebrew campaigns for my friends. About a year later I found out about Pathfinder through online games and hosted both GURPS and Pathfinder, both campaigns and oneshots. Funnily enough, I wasn't aware of the existence of Modules back then and wrote everything myself. That was an invaluable experience and through trial and error, improved my GMing to the hopefully not-subpar level it is today. This year I got into the Finnsh PFS community through the annual Ropecon-convention and am glad of that. It was nice to see the people who keep the Society running in Finland by playing and hosting actively. And apparently there was a need for a VL here in the north so I was appointed with blazing speed. In real life I study mathematics and am into books and bicycling. I also like gaming but that's a given. :) |
