Hehe, Just to realise or give info about Marcus background (although this is ooc and Wynnter does not know it) Marcus did raise with his own power and effort to his position. Also he is coldcharacter from the beginning. It is quite hard to get him to warm-up to people (outside those few who have been living and working with him for a loooong time i.e Ser Manrel, Lucas, Ser Tobin, etc) Also he is quite professionalism and serious about his doing (talk about no humour regarding work) and effectiviness. He does have a reputation, both in good and bad in the Keep but its mostly him being demading of quality & quantity from everyone around him, no mistakes and expection to be made. Plus your disguise attempt did lower your points unfortunately. Worst part is maybe, he tends to be something akin "judge, jury & executioner" from time to time if the situation needs it although he tries to avoid it but... there has been less fortunate people to get him to be like that. Getting on his bad side is definetely a big no-go :D

Thinking about it before answering "I do agree with you about horses and archers being more beneficial in such situation but unfortunately or fortunately, how you might want to see it, we do have one unit of both archers and riders. House Naelareon has always produced more foot soldiers in comparison to others, quite good quality even compared to other Houses, but we do lack severely in other 2 forces. I have been trying to balance the amount of forces in the troops but its only starting to bear fruit recently. House Daerros do provide us with the Horses and I personally try to train the new recruits to be cohesive unit for our cavalry... but House Daerros are a bit reluctant to give horses to us, due to those horses being of good quality and wanted by many other Houses" Marcus mentions but in the end huffs with frustration regarding cavalry situation "Archers in the other hand do take some time to train and Lord Domeric were not so fond of "cowardly shooting from the behind" type person. I do admit that its not maybe the most best way of fighting but it culls the enemy units plus open whole lot of options in the field" A small smirk appears on his face as Marcus mentions with a humour "And most interesting thing with this situation is that even our own sigil has a horse on it" Seeing as Wynnter is approaching and speaking up, Marcus quickly looks her over and nods his head with approval with the new choice of clothing "No and yes Lady Wynnter. Just wanted to give a heads up /information for the possible advantage we have in our lands
@Warlord, So, I went once through my sheet of House Naelareon to just confirm that everything is right and compared it your post There is apparently "1 Land" left but then we do have less Influence (according to yours we have - 12 Influence - but its less actually - only 7) Everything, which is - Red colour -, we do not have as of yet (just to confirm with your markings, which are correct), so we still have a lot of upgrades left in Food Agriculture and so on. Also, we opted to have 2 Hamlets, due to the amount of land we had (which give us possibilites later then upgrade those places) if I recall correctly. Not actually sure what we spoke or agreed but I suppose it was something along those lines
well, Marcus is not a religious man plus worshipper of Olds :D but IC he does recognize the need of faith plus to change the mentality of people. But I admit, its damn expensive (Downloaded my PDF files and started reading again about all the costs... and dayum, it is really a lot)

Standing nearby his lord Marcus eyes rest of the retinue before turning his gaze back towards the doors leading to the hall. Thinking of the recent events and coming months, there was a lot of work to do as well weddings to be participated. Sigh escaped his lips and frowning a bit as Marcus thought about all the costs accompanying coming events. It was though a small price to pay but recent events with Faith Militant somehow made him consider to get new armors and weapons for troops, as well defenses should be shored up. Giving a brief glance at his lord and soon forgetting everything as these were not his worries. It is time for Darne to step up to be Lord of House Naelareon and its my duty to fill these holes. Might as well try to see what I can do about the situation... and not forgetting my own marriage hmm
Marcus would go with Defense and Law as well Population (characterwise) OOC I would also definetely say Influence, Wealth and Defense. Although I would maybe go Month 1: Influence, Month 2: Defense & Influence, Month 3: Defense & Wealth PS. Will start to get fun for Marcus due to all new characters popping out. Now that I think about it, Ser Marcus is quite dangerous here. He does basically has huge influence on Darne plus other important facilities in House Naelareon hohoho. Also the role of General in the army plus leading troops.... damn. Its quite huge boon that Marcus is quite loyal to House Naelareon and Darne (Big influence of recently deceased Lord Naelareon). I was kinda surprised here when I started to think about it. Plus recent increase in fame although I would like to keep Marcus a bit down in the politics (not really fond him being visible target for others, my thoughs)

So, the total respective amount of earnings was 182 gd and 290 ss Marcus = 40 gd & 140 ss
(Garne and Matthias also included but as they turned to npcs, each earned 1. 40 gd & 2. 32 gd/80 ss respectively Those calculations also included your losing of armor and horse Darne but I forgot to record now in the end all earnings, but as I went the last couple page through, didnt find anything. That should be the final one

From the personal point of view of Marcus I would consider following list being important 1. Purging of the Faith
As I tend to often think through my characters, Marriage is already quite settled on Marcus (thus being in the last place) or it could be done same time with Clearning Durain's Forest As for Purging of the Faith has drawn the ire of Marcus and he is quite passionate about this group of missfits. The Ruined King's Inheritance could be done same time as Purging the faith, just diving the attention of NPC's (of course, as long as it wont tax Warlord with the information and posting)
Cassandria is already been shipped off to another family so far :P But on that note, Maester or Spider in the court would be great things to have but anyone can bring their own picks on the table. So far we got some bases covered and PS. on that note I will also increasing some of the stats Deception 2 -> 3
Hm, I have no idea which way to with Marcus for now. Game has changed a bit but I still picture him as a commander Might stay with that Warfare a bit but I quess I do need a bit more will. Also either I need more for skill for politics or need to shape up my fighting
"Riverrun Ghost" The shape of old previous Castellan of House Naelareon, always appearing on his vision from time to time, moving just in the edge of his vision, reminding him of something and chasing. The fire raging around him and the blood seeping on the floor, Marcus moves forward while yelling out for troops and other defenders of the castle, only for the dark shape always to keep reminding him of something, hissing on his ears but unable to hear it or understand. Frustrated and getting angry of the whole situation, seeing allt he destruction and war around him gnashes at his mind to remind the bloody side of slaughterfields known as war.
Inclining his head down and giving a small bow towards his new Lord "I thank you for the honor and would like to assure you, that Naelareon and Naelareons will always stay close to my heart, as well to joy and pride to carry the name" as he resumes his posture again and graps the hand of Darne
Keeping his face solemn and looking around Marcus keeps his place and watches around. Congratulating silently in his mind about success of Darne, Marcus wonders what is to become now of House Naelareon but only Gods know that. Sighing silently as the things were surely to change and there was a lot of things in the horizon, something was bound to happen. "Lord Naelareon, as things are now in the air and clear of doubts, I think it will be now time to talk about some of the issues regarding House Naelareon, as well upcoming events in the future." adapting now to new way of addressing Darne as a rightful ruler of House. "Also I do have a question regarding my own current situation, about the marriage with Lady from House Darry, as well me either choosing the surname of Darry or Naelareon"
A bit shocked about the transition of things, Marcus is no sure what to do or say as he has always been loyal to the House Naelareon. But now, the events are starting to take turn, which he did not really expect and is unsure how to react. As the Lady Gwyneth Naelareon has the right to take control of House and being also his Lady for a long time, Marcus would not see a problem but the it is his job to guide and give support to Darne in his time of need, especially in a situation like this. Seeing him to raise in position of his father and trying to take care of it as well sail on the sea of treachery and diplomatics is much needed practise as well necessity. Deciding to keep his mouth shut and observe this critical situation, how would Darne react would determine Marcus own position in this whole ordeal. Darne need to keep his own ground in this moment and claim the head of House Naelareon here. Too much is being risked here... and Marcus isnt anyway in any good relations with Cassandra
Looking around and watching carefully for the expressions of the participants, Marcus is keeping his own thoughs hidden but his lips purse together tighter as he recalls the events but otherwise stay motionless
