Geas the door that compels him to turn himself in to the authorities for attempted B&E. Then you can humiliate him.

The pc's are on shore next to a sulfurous spring/water source. they are attacked by a fire breathing drake that snatches the pc. while flying around with her in its mouth it breathes fire on her then drops her body in the caustic water where blind piranhas, that evolved to live there, devour her corpse before her equipment hits the bottom. her equipment dissolves in the pool. drake flies away.

"No precedent"? Right of conquest is a well established precedent. In any case heres a few ideas.

Pick the title for your noble to be and pay some people in the area to start calling her that, hopefully it'll catch on (tell a lie loud enough and long enough and people start to believe)

Whatever noble council that determines eligibility will probably breakdown as 30% for 30% against and 40% pragmatic. Find out what would sway the pragmatists be it bribery, blackmail, or whatever.

Does the parent nation have a king who makes those decisions? Get them on your side, new royal taxes should be welcome.

Explain to your alleged hard nose DM that this is what the group wants.

Close range touch attacks are the incentive I would need to consider a gun. Why? Because they misfire, have low rates of fire, less range, more expensive (initial cost plus logistics), and i can't get a compound gun. Guns are less encumbering so thats a benefit but not enough to use one.

Without the incentive the only way i'd take a gun is if i have a themed character using guns like a swashbuckler. (excluding gunslinger)

I was thinking of going lich with my sorceress witch sometime in the near future.

I was hoping we could make a thread in which we brainstorm creative methods of hiding one's phylactery from one's enemies.

Also, what are the in-game implications of a player character becoming a lich? Unlike D&D, I don't suddenly gain a LA that stalls my level progression. Do I have to wait for the PCs to catch up in some fashion? Or do I resume leveling up as normal?

Try making your phylactery someones soul with a permanent contingent spell of reincarnation. (Maniacal laughter) Will the would-be heroes murder the poor sod, will they destroy his/her soul to kill you?

OR maybe this one.
+2 str, +2 cha
low light vision
know: history +2, intimidate +2
breath weapon 1/d (since the half dragon template is based on racial hd i dont think this is an issue. and pc's can always take dragon feats from races of the dragon if they want to improve it)
energy resistance 5+1/HD max 15

auto language draconic
dragon blooded (for feats, items, etc.)

My idea for Pathfinder Dragonborn.
+2 strength, +2 charisma, -2 wisdom: Dragonborn are strong and charismatic but easily stirred to action.
Low light vision
Knowledge: history +2, Intimidate +2
Energy resistance 10 (as dragon type)
Spit energy (as dragon type) 3/day 1d6+con damage, 20' ranged touch, single target, Ref DC 10+1/2HD+Con modifier for half.
