In the German adventure path, Balckjack is named Schwarzer Fuchs (Black Fox). Fox in Spanish means Zorro. Must…resist…urge…to…channel…Puss in Boots…gaargh :D

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Yesterday I had the epiphany that part 2 and 3 are essentially one big part 2, and that I can sprinkle the smaller events in between the three missions.

Climbing back into the GM saddle after two years isn‘t the easiest of tasks :)

Hi, all,

I just started GM'ing CotCT and my players just finished part 1 of Edge of Anarchy. I have one question about part 2: How the hell am I supposed to shoehorn all those events into the story when the logical sequence is "Have an audience with the Queen, be inducted into the City Guard as factotums, apprehend the deserters, be back in time for tea and medals"?
I had a hiatus GMing after becoming a dad for the second time and the sandbox approach does not sit quite right with me…

Great pointers, a belated thank you from me!

I think I will let them do the horizontal Dance of the Phalanx *ahem* and then use Baron Telus as a slightly warped (that was an understatement) rival suitor. This is quite a good way of pointing the group to his lair...estate...you get the idea.

Poor Sepsinia is going to fall by the wayside for a bit, but I have another idea to marry her off which might benefit the group.

Hmmmmm....ideas, ideas...

Greetings.

I am a bit of a late entrant here, as I only finished Book 1 of the AP, and I have a question.

One of my players has it set into his mind to woo and conquer Baroness Parthena Crabbe, because, as he puts it, he (or his character, I am not sure how much of this is metagaming) has, and I quote verbatim (translated from German): "one hell of a thing for voluptuous MILFs".

That kind threw me for a loop as I really don't know what to do. What could be the possible ramifications of him managing to do what he said he wants his character to do - and he has the stats and abilities to make it, too.

As I am a GM who is very much laissez-faire towards his players, I want to see where this takes us.

Any ideas or pointers? I know that Parthena is supposed to offer to induct any willing character into the family anyway after slaying the Lovelorn and saving Sepsinia. The money and influence available thanks to a marriage or even affair could well throw the campaign out of whack for a bit.

TL; DR: Player/character wants to boink Parthena. Hilarity could ensue. Ideas?

;)

you should have put your stats where they needed to be before entering the prestige class.

And that is where we differ in opinion. Tailoring the character from the outset to a specific goal/prestige class is at least partially min/maxing, IMNSHO. My GM decided to spring the possibility upon me and it is actually more realistic to be surprised by being dragonblooded than having known about it from the outset (HOW?) and negotiatiing the obstacles one has to overcome in adapting to what amounts to a sea change in one's life.

We actually just decided to adapt the rules to our needs a bit. The ability bonuses will be more along the DEX/CHA lines with a bit of CON and one or two points of STR thrown in.

The Character is a Sound Striker, after all, and why shouldn't a Dragon Disciple be a charismatic maniac?

Hey all,

I am a quite recent re-entrant to the P&P hobby, after a hiatus of about twenty years. I kinda stumbled along into Pathfinder, which I like a lot.

Now, one of the more intriguing (potentially) prestige classes is the Dragon Disciple.

Now to my question. Isn't the DD a bit generic to cover all the various kinds and colors of dragons? Has anybody ever thought about the stat-wise differences between, say, a Red DD and a Copper DD, apart from their breath weapon?

Copper Dragons are, for all I know, jokesters/tricksters with a dash of benign madness thrown in who are tailor-made to be played by Bard/Rogue types as DDs (INT, CHR, DEX heavy), while a Red DD is - to me - a Dark Paladin/Berserker type of PC (WIS, STR, CON heavy)...

Why should those vastly different dragons get the same abilities/feats as they progress through the levels? Has anybody ever attempted to put some variety into the DD, according to the color that is adopted?

I am very interested in getting some input on this.
