Moriarti seemed to be a thinker, much like himself, Lukasz saw them getting along just fine, or attempting to out scheme one another. "Truth be told, each time I have used this specific spell, I was the one doing the talking, so I could not say for sure. Though once one of them is ensorcelled, I may be able to convince him that one or two of you can be trusted," Lukasz whispered as he looked around once more in the dim light. "Though the jig will be up once they see any of us without our shackles." Thinking for a moment, the former barrister continued, "If we are to do this plan, we need them to be overconfidenet, think that they have us at their mercy. That way, they are likely to approach together."

I am ready to keep going as well. I am just drawing a blank on how to get BOTH guards within range where out group can have an effect (ie. cell door open and guard with the horn within range of my spells at the least).

Happy Holidays! I hope everyone was/is able to enjoy the New Year. I have a good type of busy for the holidays be ready to dive back into it when everyone else is.

Frowning for a moment as he thought, Lukasz said, "We will need to get the guard with the horn within this cell or close to our cell door for my spell to affect him. Mayhaps we can do something to give the guards a false sense of security so they will lower their guard."

His hands and legs now free, Lukasz stretched a moment and frowns at the sorry state of his wardrobe. This will need to be remedied, He thought for a moment before turning back to the task at hand. Looking to the door, he attempted to gauge the distance from their cell to the main door into the room. He had come into his power less than a year ago, but he had become familiar with the limits of the specific spell he would use and wanted to make sure that it could work at the proper range.
How far from their cell to the heavy door that enters into the main cell room? Also, apologies for the lack of posting. Things have been hectic at work. I am back to a more reliable and frequent posting schedule now though.

Hearing the guard approach, Lukasz didn't test the lock, Instead using his weak legs to support his weight a bit as he gazed at the guard, thinking of a way to distract him so that he wouldn't notice the weakened lock. An idea coming to mind, he played along with a ruse of his own. His voice gravelly from his parched throat, he added"Apologies, for the noise, seems the fairer sex has difficulty in controlling their bladder. Shame for us locked in here with her. The smell is rather ripe over here."

Realizing that they were all in a tough spot if they couldn't get free, Lukasz tries to keep focused as he whispered, "Even if we can get our feet free, we won't be any further along to freeing ourselves. It will take some time, but I have a simple spell that works as a week acid. It can probably melt the weaker linking in our manacles...but as I said, I need my hands free to do such. But look through the veil to see if we can free more than just one person with what we have."
As I mentioned in OOC, we might be able to use the window patch to free the arms of another individual. If we free the legs using the acid and the arms using the frame, then Moriarti and another individual will be completely free. We just need to decide who that individual would be.

Sorry for not posting. Forgot to get a message out before leaving for Thanksgiving. I will likely be able to post tomorrow, Sunday. I will be back to a normal posting schedule on Monday. For those that celebrate, I hope you had a great Thankgiving!

Whispering, Lukasz says, "Anything in there that could free my hands? I have abilities to both harm and charm, but I need my hands free to do so."

I got an account. I to will need to learn how to navigate the site. Let me know what you need from me to add me to the game there.
Also, what was your verdict on using acid splash and its effectiveness on the manacle chains? Would the acd damage ignore the metal hardness?
Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
Not sure of your view on this GM Olmek. Would the cantrip acid splash be effective on the chain links? Would it be subject to the chain's Hardness?

The window patch interests me. Not sure how it works, but do you think we can make a hole with it. Say in an area where our hands are held to the wall?

Not possessing strength for the feat that Alucia was attempting, Lukasz glanced to the others to see if anyone else had the skill to finagle locks. Not seeing any positive acknowledgement, he looked back to Maena and whispered, "Looks like those are no use for this group. Anything else your benefactor provided in that veil which we might be able to use?"
Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
Having listened, Lukasz gave a slight smile as he whispered "I am all for contracts. Heck, my life revolved around them. But a verbal deal is only as good as how the words are interpreted, and interpretations can vary. Just know that a betrayal will likely result in recapture, which would lead to likely death. If someone here doesn't dispose of the betrayer first. I aim to get out of here, if possible and working together seems the best way to do that. Unfortunately, anything that I can do to help execute an escape requires the movement of my hands..." Rattling his chains slightly for emphasis, he continued by whispering "...which are bound at the moment."

Seeing Blakerly enter the cell, Lukasz grimaces unconsciously, the pain from the brand still fresh in his mind. However, he decided to play it smart and kept quiet. Especially since he wasn't able to move his hands enough to execute the intricate gestures needed to channel his abilities. Hearing that Maena has a visitor and seeing her led of, he thinks, So there are some who have connections even in this place. It may be a smart moves to stick close to that tiefling.

Turning to the burly woman, Lukasz replied, "Or one that allowed success through merit and strength, not one where second cousins of one House advanced by those more deserving. But that is then and this is now." Looking about again, he continued, "Either way, looks like we are all to pay for working within a system that does not quite match our tastes."

I generally have limited availabilty on Friday an Saturday but can post most Sundays. As for roles, I will be a magic user that dabbles in enchants an summons with some blasting ability. I can play a good back up party face, and as the only male, would be a good one to lead the charge when needed to woo the opposite gender. I plan to take the Diabolist prestige class.

Giving an odd look at Ivy's words, he responds, "That is assuming that I give a wit for Talingarde's laws. It was breaking those laws that landed me here...much the same as the rest of you I assume. Guve me a set of laws I can respect, and I am happy to follw them. The laws that the nobility of Talingarde cling to are a farse, trust me, I know. If getting to know my fellow condemned spits at their rules, all the better."

A small smile crossed Lukasz's face, partly in derision at the dhampir's comment, and partly as he realized that he was surrounded by women. This would be a dream in other circumstances, he thought before saying, "Whatever the reason for them locking us in here, the muscled one has the right of it. Seems our fates will be sealed together. As such, I will not face my demise alone. My name is Lukasz Pavo, and I was a barrister before the chuch saw fit to through me in here and take all my earthly possessions." He said his words calmly and pleasantly, as if he were talking to the women in a tavern, or lighthearted social gathering.
Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
His eye finally adjusting to what dim light there was in the room, Lukasz was able to gaze about, his ice blue eyes taking in the room once more and settling only briefly on the others in the room. Spotting the red haired woman with what Lukasz guessed were horns and the massively muscled woman, he pondered on the potential. Horns suggest something extraplanar. And the other woman seems capable of snapping necks with those arms of hers. I wonder if she holds any skill with a blade? I don't imagine she would be in here otherwise. Deciding it would be prudent to guage the other occupents before he said more, Lukasz remained silent.

It was something that had been eating at him since he had been put in manacles. I was so careful, he thought as he pondered on the events that led to his capture. How did that messenger happen upon my quarters, closed and locked as they were...unless. For those who can see in the darkness of the cell would see realization cross his face. Of course...my blasted cousin and his worrying ways...he must have sent the boy to check on me. I will make him pay for betraying his own blood as he did. I will make him pay as he would have me pay along with that blasted man, what was his name? Balin! That is the one...if only I could escape.
His thought finally turning to his current situation, Lukasz looked about as the rattle of chains marked his attempt to test his bonds, not that it would have done much good. The thin, blond-haired man barely looked like he could barely manage a suit of leather armor, much less strain his manacles. Decked out in the dirty rags of once fine clothing, Lukasz gazed about with human eyes as he attempted to shift to a more comfortable position, impossible with how the guards had arranged them. "Hello?" he whispered.

"A pleasure to be here. I am eager to bring Talingarde to its knees with you all. Just remember, we don't have to like each other, but remember who the true enemy is."
I can't blame you for that. There are indeed some great application in this thread. We will wait and see which ones ultimately strike your fancy. Good luck everyone!
Waiting with bated breath. Good luck everyone.
Here is my submission for an Infernal-blooded Sorcerer. Character details can be found in the profile. Have a great weekend all!
After those roll, I will take 25 point buy please. Here is my submission for Lukasz Pavo, an Infernal Bloodline sorcerer. Details can be found in the profile. Future progression will be in diabolist, once he qualifies. I hope you think he will be a good fit.

Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
Greeting all,
Your new sorcerous teammate checking in. I am working with Big OM now for a good way to tie me in to the game. Look forward to gaming with you all!
Background, personality, description and character information can be found under this profile. My planned progression is straight sorcerer until the character qualifies for the Diabolist prestige class. I decided to keep the crime trait, for though he might not have been caught, he was still charged with the crime.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Hi Big OM,
I have an Infernal Blooded sorcerer that I put together for another WotW game that fell through. With the way the character is set up, I think he would mesh well with your group's tactics. When I played this, the group got to the kitchen in Branderscar before the game ended. I have posted as the character so you can take a look at the profile as most of his background should still work for this game.
A question though, are characters still 1st level? Should I change out the campaign trait since the characters are no longer in Branderscar?

Sweat beginning to bead the brow of the otherwise composed man, Lukasz steps out and into the hallway. Moving over to the dead guards as the magical grease coating the ground evaporates, Lukasz whispers, "We had better move quickly, while the guards upstairs are safe form discovery, these will not go unnoticed for long." Looking in the direction of the door that should lead to the kitchen, Lukasz continues, "Let us hide the bodies the best we can and check on Zed and the other one, Rei was it?"
Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
Sweat beginning to form on Pavo's brow as he expels more of his arcane might, muttering, "May the magic of my unknown gift coat the world in grease," as he pointed to the area where the guards stood. The ground beneath their feet suddenly turns slick as grease springs from nonexistence.
Casting Grease. DC 15 Ref save for each guard or they fall prone.

"I believe I have some sorcery still available to me, some of which you have already seen. I can charm someone and lay out a sheet of grease that can hamper movement or coat an item. However, I must get closer before I can use it effectively on those guards." Having listened to the options proposed, Lukasz continues with, "I feel our best bet is to try to draw them from their posts. With a bit of acting, the lovely Angelica here should be able to draw one of them close enough to let Zed or I ensnare him with our magic. Otherwise, with a bit of acting, Angelica might convince them to rush up here, where we will be waiting."
Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
Checking the situation, Lukasz says, "I am unsure what these guards will know that will be of use to us that the other didn't already tell us. If you wish, question one, but don't take too much time, we won't have long before others wonder where the last set of guards went." Lukasz will help get the guards' bodies into the prison cells before meeting up in the guard room once more, ready to advance down the stairs.
Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
Wanting to make sure the guards can't escape, Luaksz steps into the room and incants "Con grasa ibn snare!" as he points in the direction of the two guards, suddenly, the ground becomes slick as a thick layer of grease covers the floor at their feet.
Casting Grease. If possible, I would place the center of the 10 foot square against the wall behind the two guards, so that the spell only covers the ground beneath the guards' feet. Reflex DC 15 or fall prone.

And Merry belated Christmas to you and the others here. I have nothing extra to add in the IC thread, so I am ready to move along when everyone else is.
Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
Looking about as the others scouted and prepared for the ambush on the next set of guards, Lukasz thought As a barrister, my skills are not much use here. Fortunately, I have the magic in my blood to assist. I will escape from this place and I will have my revenge on the damned Balin Karfeld and the thrice-cursed House Darius. Moving over to the interrogation room, Lukasz walks the interior, seeing everything that the group had available to it. "Yes, a good spot for me to stand in the upcoming ambush", He said to himself as he peeked out through the partially open door to see how much of the room he could see.
Stepping back out to the main room and with time to spare, Lukasz says, "A suitable plan I think. What is the possibility of using the chimney as a means of escape should our ambush turn against us?"
Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
Seeing that most seemed to want to wait in ambush, Lukasz nods his head as he says, "Ok. Then, we wait to ambush the next group that comes through. After that though, we should push forward, only so many times we can ambush guard rotations before people start to notice." Looking around the guard room once more, Lukasz continues with, "I am no tactician, but I think this room would be the best to ambush from, two ways of getting in for us with only one way in for them. Grumblejack, you can wait just on the other side of the door that goes to the prison cells. Others can either wait with Grumblejack or in the interrogation room. The question is, how best to draw the guards into the room so we can cut off any attempts to escape?"
Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
Quickly changing out of the prison rags and into a change of the clothes, he breathes a sight of relief as at least now his feet were covered, if not fully protected from the elements. Whispering a few arcane syllables, magic seems to flow over his body, removing the grime, dirt and sweat from his body and hair. His cantrip complete, he said with a whisper, "So wait here to ambush the next shift or forge ahead?"
Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
"We still have the adjoining rooms to search as well." Lukasz commented as he looked over everyone's preparations. "Going forward, it might be best if those clothed as guards take the lead so we can at least feign the image of guards from a distance. I will take a place somewhere in the middle and I recommend that someone capable of fighting in close combat protect our backs when we are in any open area."

Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
Before Jericho gets into formulating next steps, Lukasz puts his hand on the man's shoulder, attempting to stop him from talking long enough to convey the message that the guard should be knocked out before any plans are discussed. Then, turning to the guard, Lukasz says, "Thank you my friend. I know the difficulty in helping us as you have, and despite what is advertised, I am a man of my word. You will live, but in order to hide you hand in helping us, we will lock you in this cell." Motioning to Jericho, Lukasz takes the keys and moves over to the Ogre's cell.
Peering through the bars, Lukasz states, "We plan to escape this place and our best chance to succeed is by working together. If you can not manage that, then you will be left here. But if you can, then you have a place among our ranks. What say you?"
If Grumblejack agrees to cooperate, then Lukasz will find the key that unlocks the door and open it.
Once the guard is dealt with, Lukasz will listen to any plans that people come up with and add "If a ruse is what you would like, then those wearing the armor should also be wearing a guard's uniform and one should be wearing a horn. I can use some magic to mend and clean up the uniforms to better sell the bluff. Let us use the time we have to take a look at the next room and get a better lay of the land.
Lukasz will take a spare dagger.

Standing in front of the cowering guard, Jericho and Rei at his side, Lukasz incants, "May he find solace in his fear and friends in those who simply wish to be free." Once more tapping into the magic of his blood, Lukasz channels that magic into the cowering guard, attempting to ease his fear and make the man his friend. If he is able to do that, he says "Yes, my dear friend. Answer our questions truthfully, and I see no reason for us to leave as enemies. This has all been but a misunderstanding you see. Give us the information we need to know to walk freely as guards and we can meet up later for a game of cards. What do you say?"

Not liking the fact that the guard serving the gruel was directly in front of him, he cast his spell none-the-less, his hands slipping from his manacles, mush to the guard's surprise. Seeing Zed work some magic on the horn wielder and watching Jericho and Rei move in to attack, Lukasz focuses his attention on the guard in front of him, tapping into the magic in his blood as he chanted, "May your fears hamper your movements and your doubt cloud your aim."

Smiling as he listened to the plan that was forming, Lukasz adds with a whisper, "Then it would be a good idea to make sure our ogre comrade here is free and able to reach any guards that might get close to his door, don't you agree? It looks like there are two guards present on shift at any one time. That means half of use can focus on the guard with the horn while the others focus on the other guard. If I can get to within 25 feet of the horn wielder, I have magics that can prevent him from using his horn." Scratching his chin as he stood in his now show manacles, Lukasz continues at a whisper with, "If we can find a way of drawing the horn bearer into our cell without sounding the horn, that would work to our advantage."
Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
Rubbing his wrists now that he was free, Lukasz respond to Jericho's question with, "Though I have an impressive understanding of the workings of Talingarde's legal system, it wasn't able to save my hide as the magic in my blood and my consorting with dark powers is what brought me here." Ignoring Zed's unprofessional comments, for the moment, Lukasz listens to the whispered words of the other inmates before whispering, "As mentioned, I can probably keep the guard from sounding his horn, but I would need to get to within 25 feet of him for my magic to have any effect. If we can determine when the guard change occurs, that would be the best time to make any escape." As Lukasz speaks, he makes sure to stay close to his place on the wall so that he could put on the show of still be shackled if need be.
Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
Now free, Lukasz thinks to how they could escape their cell. Whispering as he spoke so as not to alert the guards, Lukasz rubs his wrists as well as he says, "Seems we have a benefactor that would see us escape. If we have the time, I say we see who is in the walled cell next to ours. No need to leave a fellow convict, not when they could help in our escape. We also need to think about neutralizing the guard with the horn so that he can't alert the others to our escape. I have a trick or two to handle that, but I must get close to be able to do it." Keeping an eye on the door from where they stood, Lukasz continues with, "Also might be a good idea to see what we can learn about shift changes. I am thinking we won't get many shots at escaping so the more we know before we attempt it, the better."
Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
Lukasz also feeling a moment of excitement now that there were resources that might be used in an escape, his brain spins attempting to come up with a plan to get out of the cell. Hearing the clatter of chains as well, Lukasz turns his head to the guards as they come in, noting the distance of the horn bearer from him.
Once the guards have left, Lukasz whispers, "Anyone have anything that can get us out of these manacles?"
Male Human Infernal blooded Sorcerer / 1 HP:7/7 AC: 12 Fort:+1 Ref +2 Will +3 CMD: 11 Init: +2
Seeing Angelica escorted back in an shackled back to the wall, Lukasz looks over and said, "Yes. What entailed any final goodbyes between you and your lady friend?"
