Lua noticed the hesitation as the blade momentarily blocked the spirits view of the mirror. She looks around the room for a rug or blanket if she can't find one, she pulls out her own traveling cloak and covers the mirror.

Lua puts away her greatsword and draws her adamantite scimitar. She looks at the door latch and attempts to cut at it.

DM, I don't think Detect Evil is Line of Sight:

Detect Evil Description:

You can sense the presence of evil. The amount of information revealed depends on how long you study a particular area or subject.

1st Round: Presence or absence of evil.

2nd Round: Number of evil auras (creatures, objects, or spells) in the area and the power of the most potent evil aura present.

If you are of good alignment, and the strongest evil aura's power is overwhelming (see below), and the HD or level of the aura's source is at least twice your character level, you are stunned for 1 round and the spell ends.

3rd Round: The power and location of each aura. If an aura is outside your line of sight, then you discern its direction but not its exact location.

However, I could totally be reading the description wrong!

Lua eyes the door with suspicion. Though she hears a weeping woman, the sound might just as well be generated by a malevolent haunt. If there is a key hole, she will try to look through. She will also try once again to detect evil into the room.

Lua looks to the halforc.
"Urga, I know that if tables were turned, you would ldo the same for anyone of us."

Lua agrees to taking the lead. "Team, now that we know that these haunts can control our very action I propose a plan."

She checks to make sure all of the team are listening. "I will enter each room first. I will give a count of five and then say 'check'. This way you know I have control of my faculties. What say you team?"

She will listen intently to any suggestions to her plan and then she will move north to B24 (or B23 I can't really tell from the map which rooms we haven't hit) and enter.

Lua dashes to cut off the half orc, and subdue him if necessary.

Lua activates 'Detect Evil' and begins studying sections of the manor from one side of the front stoop to the other. She checks each section for 3 rounds apiece.
