Keeping the group just within earshot the elf watched their flank and scouted the surrounding land as they traveled. As they slowed and approached an old farmstead he took the time to make a large perimeter check around the area before joining them.
Walking up to the building he called out. "Well it seems no luck with our quarry. We will keep searching in the morning my friends, my grandfather once told me 'Use the arrows failure throws at you to hunt for success'."
Survival for food:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Pulling a string out of one of the side pouches of his pack Llanofiss yanks out two small rabbits and begins to dress them outside in preparation of a stew. Cutting up some wild carrots and onions he waited for the others to prep the fire before he starts cooking up dinner.

Turning to the brow wrinkling barbarian Llano clasped him on the shoulder and spoke up while chuckling. "Yes my friend you do smell fine, I was just attempting to make a joke. I will try and be more obvious and overt in my shenanigans from now on. Here let me help you and Hans with looking for traces of tracks." With a lightness to his steps the elf moved to Vorts flank to try and aid the group.

As the group moves deeper and deeper into the woods the elf began to move ahead of the group and would search choke points along the paths for any traps wary travelers or their prey might have setup.

The elf smiles and nods at the professor with a knowing look. I will keep them safe old friend.
Picking up his very oversized and heavy pack he checked the rest of his gear then went to join the others on the wolf hunt. "I call marching order anywhere in front of Vort, my delicate nose prefers the smell up there" beaming with a tooth filled smile he winked at Vort as he started moving toward his normal scouting position.
Male Elf Ranger-Trapper/Freebooter 3 | HP: 27/30 |
With a subtle smile Llano ate his breakfast with the others and after absentmindedly observed the buildings of the town in the light of day. Keeping silent he peeled his eyes back at Vorts mention of being followed but kept an uninterrupted pace toward the professors house. As the others greeted the Professor and Doctor he checked his supplies and arranged his oversized pack on his back.

"It appears your conversation with the sheriff last night you got to show your charming side Hans! You must have left some kind of good impression to get so much attention from that deputy."

Llanofiss smiles as Alex enters the room, he passes the glass of wine over after she throws the latch on the door and says with a sly and knowing smile. "Tell people what happened? With that he pulls her into a firm but comforting embrace....
The next morning Llano is one of the first people up and about, stealthily slipping through the hallway and downstairs. After freshening up with a bath and change of clothes he takes a seat at the largest table downstairs and waited to greet his friends with a personalized greeting as they came down as well
Vort:
"Up and at'em my friend" he calls out to Vort as he enters.
Alex:
"What a beautiful morning wouldn't you say?" he calls out to Alex with a very subtle wink, that just she can see.
Hans+Greth:
"The gods have somehow blessed Zokar and made his food edible this morning, please come and try some." he encourages Hans and Grethel as they descend the stairs.
Once everyone is there the tall muscular elf tries to answer any questions they might have over what the professor told him last night about 'The Splatterman'.
Male Elf Ranger-Trapper/Freebooter 3 | HP: 27/30 |
Lifting his glass of wine Llanofiss approached Vort with a nod of understanding. "We will continue the hunt my friend, with skill and tenacity the spirits will find peace. Ahh it's good to take a little break though, no?"
"I do need to speak to you though Vort, I was with the professor earlier and he told me there have been some issues with the Splatterman up at the prison lately. I promised him we would go and check it out in the morning. Be up bright and early. With that said I will take my leave, it has been a long and dusty road."
Smiling at his friend the elf raised his glass of wine briefly and slowly made his way to the bar where he grabbed a cheep bottle of wine while dropping two gold for Zokar.
Slipping upstairs to the rooms he made his way over to Hans and Grethel's room, there he looked around to make sure the coast was clear. Once he was sure there was little motion he knelt down and began to pick at the lock
Disable Device:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
Slipping into the room he dropped a note on the table, a small set of trees sketched on the front and addressed to Hans and Grethel.
Note for Hans and Grethel:
"The professor has asked us to investigate some mad raving from the Splatterman in the prison. Be ready first thing in the morning to go investigate. There is no rest for the wicked."
He turned back out to the hallway and locked the door behind himself.
Moving forward he slid over to Alex's door. There he once again knelt down and began picking at the lock.
Disable Device:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
Slipping inside the room he lit a few candles and dropped a bit of cinnamon oil into them to give a slightly sweet aroma. He opened the bottle of wine after giving himself a thorough spit bath. Turnings he waited, with the two glasses of wine full, for the rooms occupant to return.

The muscle bound and long limbed elf made his way through the streets of the city after leaving the professor's abode. Looking through the dim blanket of night his elven vision caused the city's silhouette to flicker like a translucent mirage.
Keeping to the center of the streets he whistled while he took a mental note of his surroundings. "Seven years and this city has changed so much, these humans never cease to amaze me with the speed at which they alter their surroundings." Turning toward the Inn he entered the establishment with a beaming smile.
"Hello my friend," he called to Zokar, he made his way to the Innkeeper as he briefly scanned the room for any pleasant looking ladies. Then he continued with a playful jest as he embraced the old acquaintance. "It has not been nearly long enough, I still have the taste of your burned apples in my mouth."
After exchanging pleasantries and a few stories with Zokar, Llanofiss meandered into the patrons drinking and dining around him. Looking around he tried to make a new friend and possibly get a free room for the night while he was at it.
Male Elf Ranger-Trapper/Freebooter 3 | HP: 27/30 |
Llanofiss blushed slightly at the Professor's admonishment. He began to clear away the used plates and cups from the small sitting table they were at.
"Not offense intended Professor. I may joke a bit but I always give you my best work. I will go and tell the others of the current state of things in the prison and we will be there to see for ourselves first thing tomorrow. For now gentlemen I bid you ado."
Cleaning up after his work in the kitchen the elf packed up the leftover food and headed toward the local Inn.
Male Elf Ranger-Trapper/Freebooter 3 | HP: 27/30 |
Listening intently the elf pondered the professors recap of his research. Then became worried when he mentioned the 'friend' in the prison.
"Well Professor put your worries at ease, I will gather the others tomorrow morning and we will go and see your friend in the prison, I am sure one of us will be able to help them. So what do you think is really going on with them? Possession? Trans-dimensional arch-prophecy? Or just a plain old nutter?"
Male Elf Ranger-Trapper/Freebooter 3 | HP: 27/30 |
With an effortless shrug Llanofiss dropped his overstuffed pack on the floor and embraced the Professor in a large but gentle hug.
"So good to see you my friend, it feels like yesterday that I left." With a broad smile he set the old man down and looked around at the once familiar place. "Well I'm sure the Doctor can fill you in on the latest goings on while I rummage us up some food.Go on go on! I'll listen better with a full stomach.
The elf made his way to the kitchens as he left the two colleges to their business for a moment. Soon a pot of oil was simmering over the fire with meat pies sizzling inside. He returned to the old men with a tray full of hot meat pies and ginger seared vegetables over rice, enough even for the others who returned that evening to have plenty.
Llanofiss tried to fill in any details of their years away that the Doctor had not yet covered as the three of them ate. With an satisfied sigh he leaned back in his chair and got to the real issue that tugged at his mind. His search for some kind of shortcut to enlightenment. "Tell me now old teacher, what new secrets of the hidden realm's have you unlocked? Any luck on our research into natural reincarnation in earth worms? Or how about the delve into that encrypted text on transpentigonic runes?"
Male Elf Ranger-Trapper/Freebooter 3 | HP: 27/30 |
Sleeping was difficult for Llanofiss with the images of the Blood Moon still haunting his mind, so he awoke early to make breakfast for everyone. While the others prepared to leave and head back to Renvargo the elf stayed quite as he sometimes does. He tried to pack up as much of the left over supplies into his pack to help carry his weight, then as they traveled he stayed on the flanks and to the sides of the group scouting for threats.
233lbs. light carry load for Llanofiss (slightly better carry capacity than a light horse) so I think I can help out by either carrying the other wagon myself or carrying a lot of the doctors gear
Llanofiss liked the quite time, he could think in peace away from the chattering humans. The events of the day before weighed on him but he knew life carried its ups and downs, he would not be discouraged by the losses they suffered. By the time they had reached the town he rejoined the group from his scouting and tried to cheer them up once more.
"Hoy; we are home and it feels good. I think someone should report the 'sightings' of our escapees to the sheriff if we are to uphold our responsibilities to the town. I for one can not wait to see the professor and discuss his new research."
I will be going almost directly to the professor as long as everyone else is good. Also want to apologies for my absence, there is no excuse and you all deserve better from me, I will continue to try and improve. (BTW Chubbs if you try to kill me in our table game you might have a mutiny on your hands, Finnagan the Storm Eye is loved by his crew)

With a light smile on his lips the elf allowed Alexandria to lead him around while listening to his companions. Once everyone had said their peace and gotten their complaining out he tried to lighten the mood while trying to give Alex a relaxing shoulder massage.
"How many dwarves does it take to change a lantern mounting? Thirteen, one to hold the lantern and twelve to get so drunk the room spins." chuckling softly to himself the elf hoped spirits would be lifted slightly by his crude attempt at humor.
"Don't feel bad Doctor, at least you know we did the right thing and valued our companions lives over our material possessions, we can all sleep well knowing we are among true friends."

Keeping his hand on Alexandria's shoulder Llano tried to keep up with the others as they wandered. "I knew you three would be safe."
As they arrived back at the camp he was startled by the Doctor's cursing. Keeping close to his guide he remained silent and tried to perk up his ears and find noises indicating what direction the horses went in.

Standing before finding his halberd Llanofiss turned in the general direction of Alexandrias voice and gave an awkward but flirty bow to the wagon beside her.
"ahh the lovely Lady Andria, I am humbled by your offer and grateful for the much more pleasant smell. Please Lead on, oh but first would you be a dear and hand me the large choppy apparatus, I think swinging that wildly will be much more effective than the flail. Or perhaps I should just keep to the crossbow and allow you to call out directions to me. Either way I am sure it will work out smashingly well."
With a dashing smile he gave a blind wink from his wounded and cloudy eye right at the horse over Alexandrias shoulder.

Trying to gain his bearing the elf turns his head to every random sound around him. "Well this should be an interesting new perspective, even if only for awhile!"
Holstering his weapon he tried to slowly move back towards the wagon where he dropped his halberd earlier. "So professor if what's out there is too dangerous to face why are we just leaving Grethel and Cass to their own fates? Hey wait I think I can smell Vort! Vort your pungent and unique odor might be my new guide!" The elf happy proclaims as he looks for the halberd on the ground, right next to a large fresh pile of manuer.

Watching Mard drop his bindings and disappear put a furrow in Llanos brown. Before he knew it the swarm of crows blasted his face in a flurry of feathers. "Ahhh, what the! Yanolaxrixin Baeel"(roughly translated to 'melting soul pig birds')
Swinging blindly into the swarm he tried to take some of the monsters out while starting to move toward the Wolf Mother.

Llanofiss made a gleefull "yesss" as the tanglefoot bag stuck Mardi to the wagon. He then watched in horror as his ally took the head from the skinwalker in his terrifying bear form. Turning he watched the werewolf flee into the woods while threatening the groups allies.
"Not good, but the others know how to take care of themselves, at least I hope they can."
The swarm of ravens quickly engulfed him and Vort
Without hesitating he dropped the halberd and drew forth his flail while moving as much into the warped wagons opening as possible. There he flung the weapon into the flock with a powerful swing.

Holding tight to his weapon Llanofiss looked on in surprise when the beast began casting a spell instead of charging. "Damnit didn't see that one coming." With the twist of his hips the elf reached into his belt, just as the caster twin tried to tempt Hans and cast his spell.

Calling out through the persistant chills down his spine the elf yelled at Mard "Stick around with us for a bit, I feel like we were just getting to know each other."

A small shift of the feet sent Llanofiss towards the hulking figure coming out of the woods. Placing himself between the wagon and creature he reeled back slightly at the burst of light from Alexandria. "Let's do this!"
Once again the elf braces his halberd against a charge as he stays close to the group.
Male Elf Ranger-Trapper/Freebooter 3 | HP: 27/30 |
The light of the blood moon and the eerie sounds of the crows washed over Llanofiss like a wave. His will shattered and he knew the group was in trouble.
The sound of the pistol going off briefly startled Llanofiss, he turned toward the wagon and moved closer to see if he could help Hans.
"Who are they droning on about? This is getting out of hand quickly. Could USE SOME HELP OVER HERE!" the elf called out to the three scouting around the camp.
Male Elf Ranger-Trapper/Freebooter 3 | HP: 27/30 |
"Just a little caution is all Doctor, our guest might also just want to stir up troub...." Before he could finish the moon appeared with it's creepy wolf serenade.
The howls sent shivers down Llanos arms, trying to maintain himself the elf moved to the other side of the prisoners wagon. There he secured his flail back in its straps and drew out his Cold Iron halberd and braced it against his foot.
"Best to be cautious I guess, just in case."

The elf washes his mess kit and stores it away in the large backpack he always kept close. He nodded to the rest of his friends as he walked over toward Johannes. There he listened and peaked his interest in hearing what the prisoners had to say.

Smiling with a gentle twist of the lips the centuries old elf blushed awkwardly at Alexandria's mention of his mistake.
"I will surely never forgive myself for that mistake Alexandria, your safety is of my utmost concern. As for the prisoners I do believe 'worst' was the correct wording Sir Grim,-*winking at Grethel as he speaks worst as an elven word*-and I must agree with the always wise lady Crissa, righoutous wrath has its place and time. That time is not now and that place is never in a locked cage."
Male Elf Ranger-Trapper/Freebooter 3 | HP: 27/30 |
With a satisfied sigh Llanofiss packed the last of the clean cooking supplies into the chuck box. With a effortless heave he strapped the large crate onto the back of the Professors wagon before picking up the remaining food stuffs and walking toward the others.
With a graceful slide by the campfire he walked in front of the two ladies on the log and winked playfully at them. Stopping quickly in front of each one he slipped a florally carved wild tomato onto the rims of their stew bowls.
Still remaining silent and listening to the others he made his way across the fire to stand next to Vortigorn. There he tried to subtly pass the warrior a portion of pepper seared rabbit ribs, still dripping with hints of fresh blood inside.
Standing there in his blue and yellow cooks apron with his pink and somewhat stained chefs hat, he listened to the conversastion and began to eat his food. While blowing on the hot bowl of stew in his hands Llanofiss seemed to speak into the air at no one in particular.
"فهو مقياس حقيقي للحضارة في كيفية تعاملها مع تلك التي تعتبرها الأسوأ في حد ذاتها."
Elven speakers:
The true measure of a civilization is in how it treats those it considers the worst of itself.
He took a few bits of the dark broth and meat before speaking again, this time in common.
"So what does everyone think of the stew? I used coriander, mustard fennel and red pepper this time. A little bit of Eastern and Western Inner Sea spices combined, a kind of fusion of flavors!"
Only the elves who feel the need to overcompensate go with the big swords. ")
I disagree, Elves with big swords wield those because it is what they are most experienced with! ;)
Quote:
Hans will hide behind his sister, yell mean things, and throw pellets at the bad guys.
Llanofiss will hide behind Hans and tie his shoes together before leaping in front of his sister at the last min to save her life and be the hero! Then we will all laugh as Hans stumbles, then I get to tell everyone not to laugh because we all make mistakes and were all allies here. Then sister sees my strength of character and falls head over heals.
And that kids is why Uncle Hans always checks his shoe laces!
This is Willshaper, I have my character put together in the profile of this char/avatar, man that took longer than I thought to put together. Still learning how to use the posting stuff here and I don't have the calculated rolls all up yet, but all the choices are made.
