Lilt nods eagerly in agreement with Caleb, playing a tune on his lute for all the tavernfolk and the party. Hardcore Metal: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16 I love how even a 2 for me considered an enjoyable performance. Anyways, the song will be Fear of the Dark by Iron Maiden

Lilt bows to the captain once of the ship and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors. "I believe that we should rest the night after those long days on the water, and then continue our mission as we see fit. We will observe, take notes, and hopefully not get into too much trouble with law enforcement while we are at it."

Lilt, being last to act again, only just managed to get out a misfortune before he turns to the Second Privateer and strumming his lute, casting a murderous command with his other hand. Rocking Out: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20 20? Let's go with Dystopia by Iced Earth He then begins to sing along with the rhythm:
And since it's my turn, I get my immediate action again. He has to reroll if he gets above a... 18 on his roll. Dear Nethys, I love this revelation.

Well, I warned them. Now I'm going to make them start attacking each other, and have to potentially kill all of them... Hehehe I was going to just set an example by performing a coup de gras with on the first one that dropped... with burning hands... unfortunately I have to do it with a melee weapon. Still, my original idea would probably be horrifying enough to make the others NOT want to continue.
Male Aasimar Sorcerer/Oracle 2 HP: 15/15 AC:14 F/R/W = 1/3/2
"Hold! I want to see what they are up to. Only attack on my mark!" As soon as I can, I want to cast message on what looks like the captain, and start speaking with him/her, ready to cast another spell at a moment's notice. If they look hostile, I say this:
Bluff: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24 I'm sure the +10 from the mask only works if they can see me. Besides the bonus is only for emergencies ;)
If they look amiable, I say this:

At this point, if Farg hasn't killed the last one, Lilt has seen the ghouls so five foot steps to the left, strums once more on the lute and casts command on the ghoul. "Approach, foul beast." String: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19 Again, just for show. Still DC 19, though I'm not sure if it's going to try and acro over the PCs to get to me, since the wording of the spell says it will move quickly or directly to me, or around the PCs seeing as it can't do anything BUT move.

And guess who's going to cast another spell when Lilt goes again?
Male Aasimar Sorcerer/Oracle 2 HP: 15/15 AC:14 F/R/W = 1/3/2
Lilt takes a look at this sudden situation with a look of surprise, five foot stepping to the right in order to get a better view at the lacedons. He quickly swears under his breath and casts murderous command on lacedon 3, strumming is lute gently with the other hand. Perform String: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25 This is purely for show He completes the spell and points at lacedon three. "No one touch that one! It will attack it's allies!" I have the undead sorcerer bloodline, so if thing is corporeal and was once a humanoid (Two things I could figure out by looking at it) then it should work on them. The DC is 19 and I will misfortune it if it rolls above a 16 (before modifiers since I can't know those)
Male Aasimar Sorcerer/Oracle 2 HP: 15/15 AC:14 F/R/W = 1/3/2
Lilt intently watches the man's lips as he speaks -as he is unable to hear anything- and gives a small frown at the mention of potential humanoid enemies. He responds, somewhat louder than it takes for everyone to hear him. [b]"Then hopefully it will be a pleasant trip. If not, then I have a few spells that can enchant the mind, hopefully warding off our foes. Though I am curious, what

Lilt gives Farg a small smile, that was for the most part concealed by his hood. Regarding the large figure with a degree of respect he says, "As Pathfinders, we may not always get the most exciting jobs. Sometimes we must simply, observe, report, and cooperate. This seems like one of those jobs."

Ah, good catch. I may have been looking over two different sheets when putting in the stats. The corrected HP is 14, and I took two points out of my skills. And no, I don't have a weapon as... well, a -7 to attack rolls means I shouldn't even really try. As for the cape, I'm pretty sure since the RAW does not specifically say you can add the bonus... well, you can't add the bonus. Unless there has been a FAQ...

Lilt nods in Kiyoshi's direction. "A fellow holy man, hm? Your god, Qi Zhong, also revers magic to an extent, am I correct? Nethys shares this in common." He ponders for a moment with his head cocked. "Yes, I think that I will stick by you for the time being. There may be much that I can learn through the powers of observation."

Lilt frowns slightly, keeping his own masked face fairly well hidden underneath his hood. "I've never been fond of Razmir. It seems like he has tried to style himself as a false god, and I find that to be an abomination... nevertheless, I will put my personal feelings aside for this. Perhaps there is something going on, perhaps it is nothing. I just pray Nethys gives me strength in this."

The masked worshiper of Nethys bows before the rest of the party. "Hello friends, I am Lilt the Bard. I seem to make for an excellent diplomat, threaten people with ease, and have a glib tongue when it comes to lies, though would prefer not to do so too often. I am also gifted with the magical arts, specifically enchantment, and have spells at my disposal to beguile and intrigue... though only know one in way of offense: burning hands" I am both a dual cursed oracle (so Misfortune WILL come into play) and a crossblooded sorcerer with the fey and undead bloodlines. My specialty is compulsion spells (so my DCs are pretty high there) but also have charm person just in case. In combat I will either try to use compulsions, or switch to burning hands/my wand of magic missile. Oh, and because I thought it more important than diplomacy for some reason (even though my character is not REALLY a bard), my Perform: String skill has a modifier of +14... not sure when that will ever come in handy, but I always couple a bluff/intimidate/diplomacy check with a perform check since I will constantly be strumming depending on the mood. If you want a story as to how Lilt might handle combat, here's one from an in person game: We ran into the BBEG talking with a bunch of his underlings, and thankfully had the element of surprise... so Lilt cast Glitterdust on them, blinding half of them, including the BBEG, though the second in command saved. The turn went by, and somehow we managed to kill the lot fo them except for the second in command and the BBEG (who was still blind), so I cast murderous command on the second in command... who proceded to charge his boss, hitting him in the process. Still blind, the BBEG proceeds to CRIT his second in command, one shotting him completely (he originally had full health as he was evading all out attacks).
I thought I ought to clear up some confusion now. My character's NAME is Lilt the Bard, since in character, that is how he sees himself. He carries a lute around, and whenever he does magic, he strums with one hand and casts with the other. Never mind the fact that he is really a soracle... Lilt strides over and bows. "Ah, you seem like the sort of man that I can write a song about!" Strapped on the front of his chest is an ebony wood lute with a stylized durian fruit underneath the strings. As you speak, he seems to be paying very close attention to your lips, almost as if he were... no, it is quite clear that he is deaf. ALSO, Since I should get this out the way now... at first you may believe his voice to be a bit monotonous and devoid of expression. Upon closer observation (detect magic and a spellcraft check) you might notice that his face underneath his hood is completely two toned... one side being black, and the other white, and yet both sides look almost as if they were made of stone. If Lilt notices your looks he will let out the faintest of smiles and say, "Nethys is my god, so I must take after his appearence..." I am wearing a mask of stony demeanor. For the most part, this is a part of his character, but seeing as its filled with cheese, I will avoid making bluff checks unless I deem it absolutely necessary

You are indeed correct. In a module the character must be built to be PFS legal. An adventure path is totally different, as the GM gets to dictate what is legal in character creation. |
