Quick recovery on the surgery Narnel. Missing home right now, having the game at least gives a pattern to the day

The unholy must be destroyed, By and for the Godess Larayn attempts to dust the bones in the room.

Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Well I have started my new job 1500 miles away from home. I am working my butt off

Moving with the group Larayn is ready .
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Wind at her back and unable to hear clearly Larayn is ready.

Larayn uses the rope to crawl up.

Perception 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Reflex(to join the group?) 1d20 ⇒ 1

Those stairs may be the way to go, but they look precarious. Can we set up a harness system to steady and safely go the way?

Lucy did you get my e-mail?To all, starting next week I will be traveling back and forth for work from home to Chicago. I will try to post in the evenings from my tablet, but it can be hit and miss without having a mobile web page. If it becomes an issue I will e-mail Sigil my movements

Well with this perception check I will be drooling in the corner, those who are ready, let the fight begin. GRRRRR

How do you think we should precede, with the slipperiness of the cave could we slide down it? I assume we are going forward? If anything to find justice for those poor girls we found most mutilated, bled out and tortured elsewhere since we found no animal had attacked them at the site. The Goddess demands justice and that good does what it can to bring evil to light. I follow you all to this end and to go forward on The Lady of the Tower's quest.

Larayn finds herself in a bad spot for attacking or moving. She readies herself to help her companions with healing or in the fighting of the grubs as the melee opens itself to her.

Larayn sees that Elinor needs her, and moves towards her saying, "Goddess see the warriors bravery, Goddess help your instrument for good, Goddess heal the strong and the just." Larayn feels her hands warming and place them on Elinor's wounds.

That's cure light wounds for anybody who is wondering.

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Larayn waits for opening to help, she feels impatient and just wants these creatures out of the way!

Larayn moves behind Bryndyn and Elinor to back up their attack, there isn't much room to move into the tunnel, but she stands prepared to enter if needed.

I was thinking make those bad Larry's come to us, we got an unstoppable line :D

Swiping at of course anything that is close

Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Larayn takes up a defensive posture at K7, with all the grubs too far away to attack.

Initiative 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
GAH!

Bryndyn I like your character and real life happens so please post when you can. I know I have my own weird job stuff. I have interviewed a lot this week and likely will soon be taking a job and moving across the country. Right now the blessing of having a job would be enough!

After being lowered into the hole Larayn makes her own observations of the women. The brutality unto which they left this world scream injustice, and deep sadness wells up in side her. Whomever has done this should pay. "Let us not disturb this place of death. I will say my prayers and move when we are ready"

Larayn peers into the hole, it does not look like any place that she would prefer to go, but those girls, "I must help them if I can" she thinks and a silent prayer is sent up to the Goddess. She takes the rope to steady Elinor, and offers her own assistance Elinor I admire your bravery. If you find the women alive I offer my healing aids. Go quickly and we will be down soon.

Off to Chicago kids and its a full day in the windy city tomorrow. See you all on Wednesday

Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Moving back into the fray Larayn goes for the beast.

Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Must have stumbled around :P
Damage 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

The GM is telling me to just go, so I will :P

Larayn moves towards Narnel to help treat the spider bite, by the Goddesses mercy, Serenrae hear your servant and look upon her friends with love

Heal check
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

Following Elinor and Narnel's lead, Larayn moves to attack the beast.
Initiative 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Perception check 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

Time that we are moving on.

Let us report to the Devil's Hole!

My intuition says that he is not telling us the whole truth, yet he swears on the Goddess. Plunder as you will, but as Narnel says we need to move on. Instead of hiring him we could make him go first into the Devil's Hole

Glad to be back :)

Unless he has information about the Devil's Hole he has nothing for us. Larayn glares at the prisoner still full of adrenalin from battle , Speak to the truth of everything you know of the Devil's Hole and Haugin's Ear or by the Goddess I will cut you myself

Sense Motive 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

I think my character is fixed now for anyone who had concerns. What is dotting?

Larayn moves towards her group, looking a bit unsure and begins to nod at each person in greeting.
"Hello friend Narnel and Elinor."
"Bryndyn, I have lived here and I have great respect for your people." "Nicodemus, welcome to our part of the world."
"Harlynn, greetings--I know so little of your kind."
"So at first light then we will head for, um Bryndn do you know how to get to said hole?"
"Maybe we need a map from Sem Dumas?"
"Sorry I can get a bit chatty when facing the unknown, please don't take it as any sign of weakness. Elinor I will gladly brandish my scimitar if needed"

Larayn finally quits talking and takes a deep breath and her face takes on a look of determination.

Well so many step up to see the herbalist, Sarenrae has no fear of the dark. Who will join me?What have I gotten myself into?

The day passed into evening and I pulled myself from meditation. Leaving the small shrine and my tiny world to meet its greater dangers is going to be hard. I have trained and I am ready to spread the goddesses message of redemption and love. Moving through town was easier than I guessed it was going to be as I had heard about the commotion that these "law bringers" had brought to what was mostly a quiet place in the last few months. It seems that they are more intent on each other than the movements of this woman, who may appear no more than a gypsy to the untrained eye--with her wild hair bound back with a colorful scarf, large earrings, and flowing robes, but look closer and under her cloak you will see the glint of a scimitar.

She enters the courtyard and looks at the others that have gathered, as with all those she has not met she assumes their path is toward redemption and will treat them with all kindness. As she moves through the crowd she bends her head in respect and says, "I am Larayn, child of Serenrae to serve those that bring the world good." moving towards the man who serves Iomedae as she knows he is a righteous soul.

Okay the private message thing won't open :P

I heard that Lucille Frost was the person to learn how to do PBP the best so I would like to join your campaign if you will have me :)and yes I will be playing my cleric that never got off the ground the last time I tried this.

So Love, if we answer the chatty door, do you think it will give us a way forward or kill us all. I just want to know if there is somewhere I should stand in case I have to ask the goddess to heal you ;)

Looks like we have a chatty door, what do you suppose it means?

By the Goddess either you have very good luck or many lives Mr. Love. I agree Zeldin, I worry about others that may prowl in this dark place.

Okay I am probably going to do this wrong and I definitely have to apologise for letting you hang out there dying Karth these silly auditors and wanting a food safe plant. I know I am all about vacation next week!

Well Love, it looks like you have some thoughts about the room. I will be behind you <wink>

"This is truly a place where streams come together. A magic door. A passage under the floor, two secret doors and more things to try." I think we should try the eyes before we start exploring passages. Find out all the ways the winds can blow through here."

"I believe that is a fine idea, where shall we begin?."

Larayn looks uncomfortable and then takes the scroll, "Serenrae by thy will let me see". After staring at the scroll intently she says,"This document contains a spell sometimes called "Blur"."

To Katherine: I was interested in exploring the dark parts of the Delve to see if anything could be redeemed to light. These men professed to the same ideals, but after we enetered I realised their only goal was to slay even the weakest of creatures and plunder them. When I separated from them the godess would keep me safe, but I would need others to meet the dark, and now I have found you.

[]So as the two clerics we should probably talk about where we want to go.
Just kind of set out some ideas so we don't over focus. I have not played a pathfinder cleric so I am not really sure what they can do.

Um me neither, I haven't played any games like this for at least 10 years. So forgive me as I learn. You will know that I usually have my reasons even if they aren't wonderful :P

Question for you though. Why Eschew Materials? There are very very few cleric spells that it will effect. Clerics need their divine focus, a holy symbol or in your case your birthmark, but we are not big on needing other material components. [/ooc]

I don't remember, I will look it up tonight and I may or may not have an answer.

from the SRD
Divine Focus (DF): A divine focus component is an item of spiritual significance. The divine focus for a cleric or a paladin is a holy symbol appropriate to the character's faith. The divine focus for a druid or a ranger is a sprig of holly, or some other sacred plant.

If the Components line includes F/DF or M/DF, the arcane version of the spell has a focus component or a material component (the abbreviation before the slash) and the divine version has a divine focus component (the abbreviation after the slash).

....also... a first level cleric does not qualify for weapon focus...it takes a +1 base attack bonus that we do not get until second level.
PRD again.

I am waiting for that! I remember specifically this is something I am waiting for.

Weapon Focus (Combat)
Choose one type of weapon. You can also choose unarmed strike or grapple (or ray, if you are a spellcaster) as your weapon for the purposes of this feat.

Prerequisites: Proficiency with selected weapon, base attack bonus +1.

Sorry, this post sounds like I'm nit-picking. I don't mean to. I just know that I hate it when I make a mistake and really appriciate it if someone tells me so I can fix it. So basically, sorry.
~Occa

Nit pick away, our not hurting my feelings. I didn't expect to get it right fresh out of the gate :) I am here to learn and have fun with all of this. Larayn is inspired by a D&D character I played. She was really cool; she had a spiritual side and a boat. What more could you ask for?

To Zeldin: I have been sustained blue man, I do require some rest after these many days and the company of good people. Good cannot be used to describe those I entered here with. Either they have been dispatched by their evil and greed or they may also lurk within these caverns.

To Katherine;Larayn, I have been trapped here 3 days, I am not looking to fight you. Let me help

Hearing voices after days of fear, Larayn steps out of her hiding place and stumbles towards the group.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Hey I am Chris and I will be playing the cleric Larayn. I am a newbie to this play by post stuff so I will be appreciating your help. Thanks for letting me play.
